I don't know if you are taking request on this mod but if you are could we get a version that doesn't require the sad moodlet? This would make this work with other mental illness mods like PTSD. Not all mental problems cause people to become sad. Sometimes people show no outward signs at all of mental trauma but it is still there.

That's a good idea. I could definitely do that. I'm currently finishing up another mod so it may take a few days, but I'll put it on my schedule.

Firstly..I love the idea of this mod but I currently have a 'Very Sad' sim and can't see the option for this in the phone...does it only work on Sad sims?

I love this idea! I would like a small chance for unsuccessful therapy too though... Maybe a tense moodlet? Therapy doesn't always help!

Who knows where thoughts come from....? They just appear.

Hmm. I did intend it to work for all sad moods, but that's definitely something I will double-check. I have a few other updates planned for the mod in the next few days, as soon as I finish up the other mod I'm currently working on. So if it isn't set up for all sadness levels, that is something I will fix. Thanks for the feedback!

First of all, I wouldn't call it just an awesome mod, I would call it a must have.
But.. it needs much, much more. First of all, as the others have suggested, not only a sad moodlet should be a trigger to go to therapy, many, many others should be. Also, the chance of success shouldn't be so high, at least not from the first try. Could it be that more sessions are needed to improve?
Further to the above an in more detail, If you take for examples from Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, GAD, I believe that any moodlet in excess should be a trigger. Playful, anxious, tense, bored, even flirty, depending on the situation. Another thing is that, for therapy to have a point, the moodlet should last much more than the therapy, otehrwise you can just wait it out anyway. Another thing that might be smart to add is perscription : no need to add more complicated pills, just the mood berries to counter the emotion in excess. Also also, adults should be able to send their kids to therapy.
What I am thinking is that in the case of a "perscription" the effect should be to dial down the moodlet, not tap it with something else, so, for example, if you go for a sad moodlet you can have the happy moodlet to counter it, but what happens if you go for a tense mood? or ,more commonly, an uncomfortable mood? What is a counter to that? To be honest, if my knowledge of the matter has taught me anything, then it should be all countered by BORED.
But hey, that's all speculations , if ever you can add what I am talking about
Anyway, great idea!

You've practically read my mind! That is one of the things I've been thinking of for the next update, because you're absolutely right: therapy doesn't always work. I'm currently working on another mod but when I'm done with that one I plan to return to this one and make some improvements. Having a chance for a therapy failure moodlet is definitely on my list.

First off, thank you for the feedback! You have some very interesting ideas that I think would be a welcome addition to the game. To be perfectly honest, I'm a very new modder, and I'm not sure how I would even incorporate a lot of those ideas. However, I do intend to make updates like not needing to be sad to go to a therapy session, because there definitely are other reasons to go to therapy aside from just being sad, and that's within my current skill set. I probably won't ever make it as detailed as you're suggesting, though, because I know another modder is currently working on a major mental health mod that's going to be better than anything I could ever hope to make, and I'm sure when it's released it will make my mod pretty much obsolete. I think it's the modder Zer0 working on it if I remember correctly. So if that's something you're really interested in, they'll have you covered in the near future. But thank you again, because I really do appreciate the feedback, and only wish my skillset was sufficient to allow me to make the kind of mod you're describing. Some day, hopefully!

I'm so excited for when you update this! As someone currently going to therapy once a week, the Sadness Hotline is lackluster lol

Newest version: script file is date 19.08.2021 and package file is date 02.03.2022, so same as the penultimate update, is it a mistake?
