I love this, especially the coloured ones but The Sims 3 is just so goddamn dark this would totally ruin the game for me.
I just wanna SEEE man, lmao

I love this so damn much! It makes the lighting much more nuanced. I wish the transmogrifier would work with it so I can copy it to my store/cc lights too.

I can´t thank you enough for this. Makes me even think about re-filming a few scenes for a ridiculously huge machinima project that i already finished.
Up to now I helped my self with a bunch of Invisible Lights in each scene. But that causes different issues like flickering lights when Sims move in their shine... this mod makes it much easier, and the result is pretty!

Is it possible to disable the shaders when the advanced rendering is on?
Question/Help
Let me explain the sims 3 when advanced rendering is deactivated, everything looks better indoors. It looks a bit like the maxis style of the sims 2 and 4 and I love how the light looks in the game but my problem is that if I deactivate advanced rendering the water in the game looks horrible I get dizzy and the water in the pool is practically invsible and if I turn on advanced rendering the bloom is unbearable and the skin of the sims looks very shiny for my taste and I tried with the lazyduchess shaders mod and also edit graphic rules but the bloom is still there and everything looks almost the same. is there any way to solve this?

Hello, if your pc can handle having advance rendering on, then I suggest you keep it on, it helps the more intricate details (clouds, textures, reflections, etc) properly render into the game, but if you want better overall environment lighting and less bloom then you will need to install a lighting mod that does that.

I recommend dDefinder's: https://modthesims.info/d/367164 for a more natural but enhanced lighting with less bloom but there are also a ton of them all over "simblr" if you search for sims 3 lighting mods, I know I a lot of people like burntwaffles ones. I personally like Nilxis' Uranesia Lighting Plus (but I also edited the file with s2pe to get it just the way I like).

You can also install plasticbox's glass door lighting fixes: https://modthesims.info/d/389222 to make the lighting coming through glass doors and archways more realistic.

Lastly there is also Bylss' window lighting mod: https://modthesims.info/d/573035/mo...gh-windows.html which makes it so that the windows light up more of a room but personally I don't like it because it is a little too much light for me.

I haven't used lazyduchess' shader tweaks (I do use her smooth patch tho), so I don't know how that will interact with the lighting mods I suggested.Hopefully these are helpful.

this makes the game look so much newer and more visually dynamic, wow.
i hate to ask this, but do you think you could please make another version that's significantly brighter than the original mod you've created? it just makes things a little too dark for me since the sims 3 is already very dark in my game. i find myself having to adjust all the lights on lots to the brightest setting to see, even without this mod. but your improvements are so good that i just don't want to take them out ah! just a suggestion though, i really wouldn't want to ask you to edit ALL of those lights again, i would go crazy haha.

I love it. It reminds me of gunmod's sims 2 lighting system and I miss that soooo very much. Lighting in TS3 has never really felt right. This looks like it will correct that. I will definitely give it a try if I ever decide to reinstall 3.

Hello, if you are still around here, and I hope so, this community might not miss such an idealistic and realistic modder at the same time,
should overrides be put in the overrides folder? the default replacements are overrides with another name? are the clouds really black when its going to rain? lol

Hello, I have a question, does this mod interfere with the Wasset mods? For example: Wasset_BetterClouds.package, Wasset_BetterSun.package or Wasset_FullMoonHalo.package
