No Holidays Failure Drama v.1.0

What does the mod do?
Here's a little mod that ends the bad holiday drama and adds a bit of personality to the Sims. I'm tired of the whole household crying all day after a holiday that I canceled and then stopping at the same time as if they were all robots. Where is the personality and individuality? Now there are different emotions: fine, bored, sad, stressed, tense and angry. And that with different durations and intensities, losing out on personal characteristics! The mod replaces the uniform sad buff that the Sims all receive if they have not successfully completed a holiday with several buffs with different moods:
  • Sims with the Gloomy Trait only will still receive a sad buff.
  • Sims with the Cheerful Trait usually receive a fine or bored buff.
  • Sims with the Hot Headed Trait receive with a very big chance an angry buff (there are three different levels with different strengths and durations) or with a big chance an tense buff. Other emotions of varying duration are also possible but much less likely.
  • Sims with the High Maintenance Trait (Spa Day Gameplay Pack) receive with a very big chance a tense or stressed buff or with a big chance an angry buff. Other emotions of varying duration are also possible but much less likely.
  • The rest of the Sims receive with a very big chance a bored buffs of different duration and intensity. Other emotions of varying duration are also possible but much less likely.

Last update (September 2021)
The High Maintenance Trait introduced with the Spa Day Refresh update fits very well to be taken into account here! Now the Tense and Stressed Buffs are also included.

Necessary packs or mods
The Seasons Expansion pack is required. The Spa Day Gameplay pack is optional.

Translation
No translation necessary because the mod only uses strings from the original game. So it is immediately available in all languages!

How to install this mod
Copy the *.package File into you Sims 4 Mods Folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods). Please make sure to delete the old version of the mod!

Possible problems
The mod overwrites only one original game resource:
6017E896!0000001A!000000000002CF6A.buff_Holidays_Visible_Failure.BuffTuning
This can cause compatibility problems if you use other mods that also change the reaction to the unsuccessful holidays, for example the Mod No more "awful holiday" sad moodlet by Sigma1202.

That's really a great mod! I always hated the game forcing my sims to celebrate any silly holiday, or otherwise they would be sad. Nobody should be forced to take part in every holiday!

I haven't seen any of the new buffs yet while testing this (either letting the holiday run out while everyone is in bed and also by cancelling), which is too bad, since I've used Sigma1202's "No more 'awful holiday' sad moodlet" mod, but I don't know if that still works, and this one with the different reactions makes more sense, IMHO.

It does stop bad moods for ignored/canceled holidays the same, though.

The two mods are in conflict with each other, so it may well be that my mod does not work or does not work correctly if the mod from Sigma1202 is installed.

I don't have Sigma's installed anymore, so that's not it.

But that's very strange, because if the original buff from the game is no longer displayed, it will be overwritten by my mod. Technically, I have replaced the original buff with an invisible, emotionless buff, which then runs a loot right at the start, which analyzes the properties of the Sim and then starts a personal visible buff. I have no explanation why you can't see anything. My mod has no script so it doesn't matter where the file is. But try to move the file to the main folder "Mods". Maybe you have another mod that overwrites my mod.

I'm currently on patch hiatus (again! ), but whenever I come out of it, I'll try testing it by itself.

I have their mod and it still works fine for me, so definitely not their mod.

So these two work together, is that what you mean?

@andiberlin : I'm still on patch hiatus as of this writing, but thanks for the update!

Sigma's mod works fine for me is what I mean, that is works fine for me by itself. I don't have this mod, I would assume they would conflict. Sorry I misunderstood your comment. xD

What a great idea for a mod! I previously used one that just got rid of the sad buff completely, but this is way better. Thanks for adding some spice :)

Thank you for updating this for Spa day refresh! The inclusion of the high maintenance trait here is absolutely perfect! This really gives so much more dimension to our sims!
