I had so much fun testing your mod! I did not suspect the gameplay of making two sims not only fall in love but also stay in love could be this rich and complex. The attraction scoring system is nothing like I've seen before, it finally makes traits purposeful in other area than casual social life and careers. Now, dating can be taken seriously in TS3 too, it was about time! Highly recommend this mod to simmers playing in single cities such as the NYC worlds, where everything can (and will) happen...

Does this interfere with teen/ya teen/adult romances? I have a couple where one has aged up to a YA and they both are rejecting every romantic interaction after adding this mod. They both still are 10/10 attracted to the other when I checked and they both autonomously try to have romantic interactions with the other, but the other then rejects it, and will immediately try a romantic interaction of their own, which the other one then rejects.

It interferes with all romances. It sounds like you're using NRaas Woohooer to check attraction if you're getting scores out of 10, is that correct? Woohooer's Gauge Attraction and such return different scores than this mod. The only interaction that will correctly report this mod's attraction scores to you is the one that comes with this mod.

If I'm wrong about the Woohooer thing, though, can you do the "allowManualAttractionUpdates" cheat and then the "Update Attraction" interaction and tell me/show me what the notification you get says?

Okay interfere was the wrong choice of word. I suppose I should have said does it make them impossible to have teen/Ya/ and teen/A romances. But from your response I'm going to say that the answer is "no it shouldn't". Yes I'm using Woohooer's attraction gauge, but if it doesn't work with this mod it make more sense as to why they might be rejecting romantic interaction, but I'm still confused as to why the both keep trying to have them with each other if they aren't attracted.

Are they romantic interests/in an active romance? I believe there's a multiplier applied to the likelihood of sims attempting romantic interactions if they're in a romantic relationship; I forget what it's called, but it should be tunable. If you want to reduce the problem of no-longer-attracted romantic interests trying to do romantic socials and disliking each other for it, you could set that multiplier to 0 with Retuner, and maybe increase the multiplier for sims who actually are attracted to each other to compensate!

Hi! First, I want to say I'm super excited to try out this mod, since I've felt that TS3 relationships are way too easy. I currently have it installed, but I do have a question since this one thing mentioned in the documentation vs. what happens in my game is a bit of a head-scratcher.
In the "Documentation" section of the description, it says "You can make the mod update and report the attraction score between two sims by using the “Update Attraction” interaction on the sim you want to learn about," that said interaction is a debugging interaction and normally hidden, but that it can be made visible with a cheat code.
I've entered the specified cheat ("allowManualAttractionUpdates") and I get a popup in the top right corner of the screen that says "lizcandorAttraction can force attraction updates: True (activated True)," but I can't seem to find any “Update Attraction” interaction. I'm assuming "interaction" means an action I can tell a sim to do by clicking on another sim or object and selecting one of the options that comes up, right? I've tried normal clicking on the inactive sim, then tried clicking on the active sim in case I was mistaken, shift-clicking either one of the sims, etc. But no matter what I did, I could not find any interaction called “Update Attraction”. Is the interaction supposed to appear in the manner I described expecting to find it, or am I missing something and doing it wrong?
For additional context, I have installed all the packages and other mods mentioned in the description necessary for this mod to work, and my game version is 1.67, so it's effectively the same as 1.69.

Hi, lizcandor! Your mod is looking AMAZING and I'm really looking forward to playing with it! However, while testing, I encountered the same problem as described in the post above; I can't for the life of me find the "Update Attraction" interaction. Could you please help me a bit? Thank you in advance!!
I tried deleting the script cache (along with the rest of them), starting a brand new save, writing the two cheats the mod's documentation specifies, also testingCheatsEnabled true just in case that was it, shift clicking and still nothing. I believe that the mod must be working correctly apart form this problem, as I see the prompt in the top right corner warning me of the cheats getting activated, the lifetime rewards that the mod brings are available and my test sims reject romantic interactions while before activating the mod they didn't. My game is 1.67.

EDIT: sorry for the double post, I thought I messed up my message and deleted it instead of editing. Oops!! :P

Superthanks for the awesome mod, I'm so excited about it and trying it out! Something like this I've always wanted!

I was wondering, is it suppose to work this way that a couple already married, relationship status at 98% with each other, reject each other's romantic actions? I mean, I'd love the romance aspect to be harder, but not necessarily impossible with already solid couples... Is this a hint that they've gotten together but now, as the mod calculates it, are not a "fit"? Can I somehow override this in cases where I do want the couple to be swoon-worthy, even if their attraction status maybe is not? Obviously, going forward with sims not yet together this is great, but with already married couples... ummhh... :-P

I like this mod although I'm not sure how I'd go about breaking up townies without using cheats to do so, if my sim wants to be a homewrecker. I'm also wondering about what shooting_well mentioned too about already married/coupled sims.

Edit: So I got my sim into a best friend relationship with another (they both were attracted to one another) who was married but every romantic option (aside from wink/blow kiss due to irresistible) didn't work. So I briefly have changed the target sim to have flirty and commitment issues just to make sure it'd work, and over night they accepted romantic interactions from my sim.

I will change the traits back once I get them to go steady, though I'm hoping I don't have to edit traits for every sim that by chance gets a partner despite being on a dating profile due to story progression lol.

Hi, lizcandor. I am here to thank you for your great mod! It adds a lot of realism to the game and it is essentially what I was looking for! I tested it and would like to suggest some things that could improve it a little bit more:
I) In my tests, using the interaction Update Attraction, if two sims have the same trait, it does not seem to count for the attraction, even if both know their traits. I don't know if the mod works so or if it was a bug. And some conflicting traits should add a penalty and not a bonus, for instance, hates outdoors and love outdoors. But with other traits the mod works percectly fine, as shy and party animal traits, which are (at least I guess...) both attracted to each other.

II) It would be interesting that a good friend and a best friend could get a trait that gives an attraction bonus. Even that a sim does not look to another as a potential partner, as the friendship grows, things can change a little.

III) Some bad moodlets could let the sims less likely to have romantic interactions, as tired and hungry moodlets. I don't know if this is already implemented in the mod, but I did not get to see this while I was testing.

IV) With some sims, I could not use the "Update Attraction" interaction and I don't know if this is a possible bug. Both sims have been married for a long time.

Again, thanks for your great mod and it added a lot of fun in my game!

Edit: I checked all the rewards traits, and all them seem work fine, except the unfit trait, which always gives a -40 penalty in the attraction score.

I really like the idea of this mod, but unfortunately it seems like the attraction score that nraas Story Progression uses to put Sims in the non-active household together is completely different than the attraction score that this mod uses. I like to play rotationally, so I can't really use this mod since whenever I switch to a new household, the sims in that household are essentially never attracted to the romantic partner they've been put with and it's impossible to do any romantic interactions. I wish the two mods were compatible! If I'm missing something here, please let me know.

I've come across the same issue as srsmoonlite. I, too, play rotationally and I've noticed that sims put together by the game/mods while inactive, don't really match when I return to play with them. They keep rejecting each other's advantages even if their relationship status is Romance, Steady or anything more. This is really frustrating, but hopefully tunable/fixable?

So heads up to anybody, side effect of this mod is, unless the person you are talking with is romantically interested in you, they will reject just about ALL romantic advances, well and good except you can no longer ask someone if they are single, they reject it and don't answer the question.

It moves the ask if single option to the friendly menu so you can always ask anybody if they are, still works with 1.67 69.
