Thanks for making this, I’ve been considering editing my lifespan mods for something similar. Would like to point out though you’re missing a mod in your set! You need the mod that will decrease how quickly they earn skill points, with an increased lifespan you’ll get a bunch of super sims running around with maxed out skills in no time! I can link a tweakable mod if you aren’t familiar with which one I’m talking about?

ETA: If the original toddler-adult lifespan (the main ages for skilling) was 80 days and the new toddler-adult lifespan is 912 days, then it should be approximately 11x harder to earn skill points if you’re trying to keep it balanced.

Thank you for telling me! I actually included a slower skilling mod but I deleted it from the post because one, it was out of MTS and I wasn't quite sure if I was allowed to post links to other sites, and two, I didn't know if it was slow enough for this lifespan either.
Though, I'd really appreciate it if you linked the mod! Then I can tweak it myself and include it within the downloads. Didn't realize the skillspan template was in the same page I got one of the other templates from! Silly me. Thank you for the heads up, I believe that by tomorrow I'll update the post with the respective skillspan package. I totally overlooked that!

Sounds good! And if you got your templates from Lientebollemei’s blog like I did, please credit her and link back to her tutorial!

One of them (Sims pregnancy according to my DL folder :P) from your blog. For Pets pregnancy I used CASnarl's Shorter Pet Pregnancy, for University length Dave Luv's Faster University Education mod. For both Sims and Pets' lifespans I used Nepheris' files as a base too. I'll add them to the credits right away.
Funny enough after I was done editing by instinct, I found out you actually had a tutorial for all that stuff. I was a bit frustrated but eh, what else could I do then?

I did yesterday, but it seems the changes weren't published? They definitely weren't. Apologies! I also updated the link because the one I had was a dead one. Sorry, I'm still trying to get used to MTS lol.

I always like when finding out someone used my templates and/or tutorials.
Just one thing, the link to my website is not correct anymore. Bitly must have changed something or so, but honestly I haven't used bitly in ages.
Could you change the link to s2idownloads.blogspot.com please?

matti2k2, I can not thank you enough for this mod - and I couldn't agree more in that the timing makes so much more sense. Thank you!

Thank you for your hard work in making this mod! It makes it so much easier as opposed to using notepad and keeping track that way which is how I have done it in the past. A question I have though is I added this mod with some families already made and the days left until aging up doesn't seem to change until they age up to the next life stage. Is there a way to reset their aging to the mod's changes and not the default? for example: If I create a new family the changes are there, but if I had an adult sim already made prior to installing this mod then they have 29 days left until they are an elder.

You're welcome! Also I did NOT realize that I didn't include Lazy Duchess's Age Correct mod for those cases, sorry! This should fix your problem.

Hi everyone:

After trying so hard to wrap my brain around what year in age my sims are at using this mod,

I think I finally found the answer.

16 days = 1 year

Baby Start year: 0 Years 0 Days (16 Days until Toddler)

Toddler Start year: 1 Year 16 Days (80 Days until Child)

Child start year: 5 Years 80 Days (96 Days until Teen)

Teen start year: 12 Years 192 Days (96 Days until Adult)

Adult Start Year: 18 Years 288 Days (672 Days until Elder)

Elder Start Year: 60 Years 960 Days (80 Days until minimum lifespan death, 640 days until maximum lifespan death.)

i.e. if an adult sim has 593 days until they turn into an elder sim, first we must find how many days they have already lived. Using the chart we know that the Adult life stage starts at 288 days lived and 672 days until next age. So we do 672-593=79. Then we do 79+288=367. Which means that the said sim has lived 367 days so far. Then to find out how old they are in years, we divide 367/16 to find that they are roughly 22 years old.

Credits go to wolfram alpha to figure this out.

Hi! I see that in the mod description suggests the calendar mod by Phaenoh and I'm wondering how the 5-day-per-season thing from the calendar will interact with 4-day-per-season from this mod. Thanks!

Oh, my bad. I think it won't do well together, I'm not sure - I thought the calendar mod would adapt but as I read their description it doesn't quite seem to be the case. Thank you for noting that out, though, I'll take it out. :D

Thank you so much! This distribution of time and lifespans by far makes the most sense for me, and as someone who has a 10+ year old save game file going, it'll be so nice to finally just slow down and take some time to enjoy this generation of my simsies. :)
