I love this one!!!
It feels like a real Part of the Game :D
I had a small problem, to get the trait.
My Sim Gretchen had 4 Childs with Vlad and no one get the trait naturally after she gave birth.
It was not a big deal, because i play with MC Command xD...
I also love, that everyone have individual Vampire abilities. That made it all more realisitic.

Your NPC Offspring, Bloodlines and this one are now essentials, because it feels not like a Mod and made the Game so much better.

Iam also very happy with your witches and warlocks reward trait addon.

Thank you!!!!

Anyway. You were right. There was an issue with the inheritance. It is fixed now. Please let me know if anything else happens.

it there a way to equip the trait in 2.0, like a cheat or something?
i used the 1.0 to make a dhampyr who used magic, but with 2.0 the trait in the sims is gone

Yeah, since the tuning changed it won't carry over from v1. You can cheat it:

traits.equip_trait baniduhaine:trait_Dhampyrs_CTYAE_Activator

Can I just say, that I went and downloaded all your mods today and had a right laugh throughout the mod descriptions! You're hilarious thanks for making the boring part of downloading new mods quite enjoyable. Also, this is such a COOL IDEA!! I can't wait to play it, the immersion is going to be awesome since in my own head canon like much of real life there is no black and white - Life exists on spectrums. Anywhoooo I hope wherever you are this comment finds you sublimely happy and healthy <3

I noticed that you said that when you gave dhampyrs the thirst need you added it seperately from other needs, could it be possible to make it so dhampyrs have normal hunger, but drinking plasma fulfills it just like eating food (similar to how in Littlemisssams extra vampire powers mod has an option that adds a power to enable vampires to eat regular sim foods on top of drinking plasma, even with the withered stomach perk)? I want to be able to have a Siren (using zero's Siren mermaid Mod) to have vampire abilities, but when adding the vampire lifestate it also adds a second thirst motive, I'm pretty sure it's the same here with this mod.

Check out my Patreon, I feature Artwork and Short Stories and Bio's about my own Personal Multiverse, as well as some CC I'll share for early release (nothing major right now though, Mainly just recategorized Maxis Content).

Hey, so, I tried playing as a dhampire, but for some reason, at least for me, it acts as if the motives are locked and does not decay as they should. I don't know if it's clashing with another mod I have like "immersive vampires," and "vampires can kill," by zero. It's a real damn shame, because I love the lore of dhampires and have many characters that I would love to make on the sims.

All components are custom so it shouldn't conflict. I have both those mods as well and have encountered no issues. Which perks did the Dhampyr with this issue roll?

I hand picked the perk so I don't have any of the perks that affects any of the needs, so I know it is none of those, but the needs still won't decay normally, and if it I deleted some mods that I affects needs in general, and also, my dhampire would also learn skill VARY quickly, in spite of it being day time when the dhampire is supposed to learn things at a slower rate during the day. Perhaps I installed it wrong, or there may be. yet, another mod that is clashing with it?

Okay... which .package of the mod are you using? And which perks did you choose?

It's starting to sound like v1 messing with the functionality of v2, but can't tell for sure as of yet.

Hm. So it'd likely be Master of Darkness.

Does this switch on day/night tracking fix your issue?

I'm going to try this test out without any other mods and see if the fracking works and if the needs decay normally, or if it is still decaying at the slow rate I spoke about earlier.

Update; I played with no other mods. The test sim is still learning pretty quickly, and his needs are still decaying at a slower rate. Sorry for bothering you about this. I do appreciate that you responded to me, by the way.

It's Master of Darkness, from the ones you mentioned. I'm like 90% sure it's that. It's a clone of the Vampire perk at level 3. So it's as strong as the maxed Vampire perk would be, from what I see the issue is it not dispelling when it's day in-game. I'd consider also cloning the lower tiers of this one if that's something people would like? Though I'd have to make them incompatible with each other so Dhampyrs can't get different versions of the same thing. Level 3 is, to be fair, quite strong, so perhaps I should eventually add the Level 1 and 2 ones regardless.

In any case, back to the problem at hand.

Edited it again, buff isn't meant to be visible but set it to a +1 Fine mood for testing purposes. Clear cache if you haven't already (basically delete the localthumbcache.package on the Sims4 folder, that's the one that needs to be gone for mod changes).

Since the buff is visible in this version, it should disappear when day starts, it should only appear at night.

I'm playing the dhampire again to test your edit, but, unfortunately, the needs are still decaying at a much slower rate without the vampire locking locking perks, what I've originally wanted to ask you about. Is there a way I can go in myself to fix that, or would you have to take a look at it yourself? It needs that I'm concerned with are, Hygiene, Hunger, social, and bladder. I may play a little longer with this and see if the decay changes or not.

Is the buff disappearing when day comes? Now I see I probably shouldn't have made it invisible in the first place to let it be known when the buff is active.

In any case, the base Dhampyr buff did slow the decay of Hygiene and Bladder (significantly weakened that now), but the other needs should only be slowed during the Master of Darkness active hours.

Edited it again, see at the bottom of this post. This does seem like a general issue so I'd like to fix it for everyone.

That said, if you want to customize your own because of how strong the Master of Darkness effects are, go to the baniduhaine:buff_Dhampyrs_PersonaPowers_NocturnalAffinity_Level3 component inside the package on S4S, you can edit the values there to whatever you want. They are all labeled.

Thanks! I'll test it out, and get back to you about how it works!

Update, so far, his needs are decaying now. I'm going to play my character a little more longer to see if it is at a normal rate, but so far, I think it may be fixed! I really appreciate you responding to me and your accommodations. I also apologize for bothering you so much, but your mod sounded like a really amazing addition to the game, and vary much wanted it to work as much as you do.

Thank you so much for this Mod. I'm going to test it out, and see what happens. It looks very interesting! Especially since I'm working on a Vampire Legacy, and plan on having them adopt a human every now and then inbetween having children of their own.
