Thank you so much for sharing these, it adds some diversity to the Aliens. I just can't wait to spin a story around them! Just for information, I had some trouble finding the download of Annoree's Asari hair, as the links on her site are down. Same goes for the textures, I get an error code when I click on the download links.

@Freya5
I am happy you are enjoying my Aliens! Story telling is so fun!

I actually listed/posted working links to all the CC I used under Required custom content: in the description. I make it a habit to update links and provide downloads to any CC I use when its unavailable.

- (amd AsariHair by Annoree/ Preview / Download )
- (Gradient Patterns by Alachie and Brick Sims/ Preview / Download )

Thank you for bringing this to my attention I updated the CC required Links to working downloads.

Hey, really like what you did with these, i like the backstory too, even made an account after many years of lurking just to have a say!
Right now i'm poking and prodding with nraas master controller to see if i can get them to have human eyes again, i turned one into a hybrid alien-human with 50% alien genes rather than a pure alien so i could justifiably have normal hair on 'em, but of course that means i lost the human eyes.

If any of you know how to go about that, please drop a message, i'll be checking this thread almost daily for a bit.

Guess you are, i just vaguely followed the steps in the mod page, got all the needed CC and the characters look fine.
I even missed a few optionals at first and they looked fine, now, when you get a black textured body, it usually means that the game tried to give a character a skin tone that doesn't exist or is broken, so you might wanna drop those in the mod folder again, in case something went wrong with the copy process.

All this assuming you know how to use mods and got the modding framework setup, of course, cause otherwise you'll have to set that up before you can use custom content in .package format.

I tried re-downloading the insect skin already but that didnt fix it, the one that show up in game is also rather pale, not very vibrant and the characters I click have a more vibrant green, they look fine in the preview until selected.

only things i did not download are the s-club lashes as they do not work for me (had tried to use them before) and the optional headpiece. all my other package cc works fine

Hey fella, it looks like to me your game is loading low res textures overall, you probably need to crank up texture quality to avoid custom texture issues like that.
It's not something i'm too sure about, but it happened in some other games i modded as well, the custom textures breaking because they were made to run on high quality only, so it's worth a shot.

I ended up having to install both the HQ and non-HQ version of the skin, I tried both seperately and they only worked together, idk why. Found the non-HQ version on TheSimsRescue for anyone else who might need it

@Lunar_S0uls
I am so glad you were able to get the skin to work for you. I apologies for the inconvenience of it all. Luckily Gashinahiron was able to offer guidance. I have no issues with this skin personally but I am familiar with the Solid black/ shiny skin glitchy-ness. As Gashinahiron mentioned "it looks like to me your game is loading low res textures overall, you probably need to crank up texture quality to avoid custom texture issues like that." Based on my experience if I select the correct skin and save and exit CAS, then open it again, it loads in the skin in correctly. But game quality setting/loading are a major factor. I will make note of the non-HQ skin version for other people who may experience this issue. Thank you for communicating and bringing this issue to my attention.

@Gashimahiron
First off thank you for helping Lunar_S0uls with the skin issue!!

As far as human eyes and alien DNA percentage goes your best bet might be a mod that removes the alien black eyes and then you can use solid black contact on the aliens that you want to have the solid eyes only. This thread may be of help: 2022 method for removing alien black eyes. How the sims 3 has alien eyes applied overall is annoying from what I have read it is a visual overlay like vampires skin and eye glow, thus it is hard to remove and contacts don't layer over it. I will do some more investigating and let you know if find anything else that may be of help.
