Suggestion for your great mod
Okay, I bet this doesn't make any sense as a request but... would it be possible to have a version that is just the dry off interaction on the towels OR at least a check to see if the sim is in a towel already? I like to decorate with The Zenith towel but it also makes sense that I have the towel functional for the dry off interaction, but I can't have multiple even if in different rooms without the sim autonomously changing and creating a laundry pile. It doesn't happen when I have just ONE Zenith towel on the entire lot.

I have Zero's Always Towel After Shower & the Bath addon, a similar mod to the ones you mentioned. I also have LittleMsSam's Small Laundry Overhaul, which I've already modified so that using a towel after bathing wouldn't create a laundry pile, and that setup was working fine before I dropped your mod into the mix. Right now what happens with two Zenith towels hanging in the bathroom is my sim finishes her bath and changes into a towel because of Zero's mod then just a SimMinute or two after that the sim is "changing" into a towel that she's ALREADY wearing and a laundry pile is generated under her. I've tried deleting that one part of your mod using Sims 4 Studio but it just won't delete. It's weird because I didn't see anywhere that a laundry pile should be created, but the code there is very confusing for me to understand and all I know is I didn't see the code I saw in LMS's mod.

I suggest 1) a check for if the sim is already in a towel, 2) maybe also a check for the proximity(?) of towels to where the sim is, and 3) maybe being able to turn the Change into Towel option on and off for each towel that is placed. Honestly I don't know why I'd have my sim change INTO a towel in the first place as in what that accomplishes, but I do understand and appreciate the Dry Off interaction for HLC.

I absolutely like what you're doing with this series as it just doesn't make sense to have SO MUCH stuff in the game that's JUST for decoration.

Sims should not be changing into towels when they're already in one and should not be doing it autonomously anyway. Can you do me a favor and double check to make sure you don't have any other mod anywhere that's trying to do the same thing or similar that could result it in happening twice? Do you have HLC? Because that has it's own autonomous change into towel thing

In the meantime I can take a look at Zero's mod. There is a buff that my mod already checking for to determine whether they can change in or out of towels but maybe his mod doesn't add the default towel buff. I can look into his tuning and if he's using a different buff I can add that to my check. I can definitely try to make my towels compatible with that mod if there is something different about it.

But all that aside, what stands out to me is that it's happening autonomously which my towels should not be doing. I've never seen sims autonomously change into towels with my mod.

(As for why the interaction exists, it's sort of a "why not" thing. The towels are there so why not let them wear them)

Ugh oh my gosh! I really ignore conflicts because I'm just used to finding a way to either integrate or flat-out letting one mod overwrite the other.. I'm so sorry to waste your time with reading, thinking and replying! I thought I had already tried testing with just your mod without utilizing HLC and seen what I said, but it looks like I was determined to watch the number of towels decrease EVERY time after my sims bathed and kept placing HLC's towel set and so I got the results I did. I had thought that the mod just detected that a shower or bath occurred and took a clean towel, but I didn't check out the mod in Sims 4 Studio to see that it has the sim change into a towel and that's not explicitly mentioned on the mod download page. Glad I figured it out, though I wish

Each of my mods' tuning files has a different name. This one is Ilex_ALL_BathTowels_TUNING and the lotion one is Ilex_ALL_FuncLotion_TUNING so neither should be overwriting the other. Is it possible you have an old version of a mod installed? If that's the case it's fine to overwrite the old file.

What language are you playing in that the search functionality isn't working? I can double check that the strings are correct.

Thank you for doing this. It is the small things that make the game more realistic.

Hello, I downloaded this mod today, and the dry-off function is not showing up. I have the towel-after-shower mod as well by Scanner. Is there something that I am doing wrong? I had this mod before, and it worked fine, so I am unsure what is happening.

Sorry for the delayed response.

The "Dry off" interaction is only available if your sim has certain buffs on them, such as being wet from the rain or giving a toddler a bath. Can you confirm that you were trying while you sim had a buff on them that needed to be dried off?

Sorry, I am not sure what you are asking :/ but before when my sims would get out of the shower it would show up right away I didn't know your sim needed a certain buff that enabled the dry-off function. LOL

The "Dry Off" interaction was never available without certain buffs. You should have the option to change into and out of a towel. If those are missing then it is a bug and I can try to figure out what's wrong.

If the problem is that the towels aren't appearing after they get out of the shower that's unrelated to my mod. If you have Scanner's mod it should be coming from that.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. The option to change into and out of a towel does show up. I was just confused about why the drying off wasn't showing up. But now I get that it shows up when caused by a buff. Everything works great on my end!
