Thank you so much for this mod! This is the one thing I hate most about the sims in TS4 - their constant smiling!! I used to have a No Emotion mod in my game that fixed their silly grins, but of course it also shut their emotions off, so this is much better!!

At last. A very useful mod. I'm so tired watching sims getting into fights and keep smiling like idiots because they are inspired or even focused. Besides, we all know why sims keep smiling like idiots. It's a commercial trick. A smile sells better, we all know it.

What is the difference with shimrods-facial-overlays-less-smiling?
Honestly I'm not even sure that mod makes sense to use since it's pretty old, but if it still works, I would like to understand which one is more suitable for me.

As I understand it, this mod you pointed out just changes the facial animation to a different one, judging from the source code. In my case, there is no face animation at all and is used from the rest (for example, when the sim is standing or cooking)

Okay, sounds interesting, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the answer.

Alright, I compared both mods behavior for different emotional states. The floppant's fine version still works but it replaces only happy and inspired overlays leaving confident and focused ones as is, while you mod replaces them all making sims even more serious. So thank you for your work, I'll definitely use it!

This is broken since the 15.03.2023 update. Infant's face gets distorted (lips and cheeks bump out) when they're trying to smile or they are in a good mood. When I removed this mod it returned to normal. Can you please fix it? I really love this mod because it's annoying how sims always smile in every situation.

OMG
As long as I've been playing with horses, I haven't encountered this yet. I'll look into it
