Thanks for all your hard work! Is this compatible completely with your mermaid bloodlines or other mermaid mods?

It should be! That said, I do wish to make it work with XML Injector as soon as I can figure out how, to lessen the risk of conflicts in the future.

Edit: Actually, you got me thinking so much I went and overhauled it to actually use XML Injector already lmao, thanks for making me think of that

I always thought mermaids' resistance to dehydration was a way to make up for their non-immortality, but we all know that's just stuff EA missed, thanks for your mod.

idk if this is possible but maybe they only pass out and then if someone is near they can dump a bucket of water on them so they can wake back up and have a little of their hydration back. But if no one was able to and it was after a long time like 3 sim hours or so they would die. this exact thing is in Sims 3 btw

It's possible, though the water bucket might be a bit of a stretch lol, unless there's a similar animation in-game already. I'm terrible at animations. But yeah, it's possible, I'll see what can be done.

Hi! First, thank you for all your occult mods! I use a bunch of them! But I ran into this small issue.... I have LittleMsSam's Live in Services with two addons for locked stats of these sims; hygiene and hunger.

(Link here: https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post...live-in-nannies )

I hired a maid and everything was fine... until the maid (who was a mermaid) died suddenly! I'm not sure what happened because if the hygiene was locked.... that should have locked the water need too, right? But I have to be wrong since he's currently dead from dehydration! lol. So I was wondering if there's anyway to exclude non-played mermaids from this death? (Unless her mod is marking them played? Since they kind-of-are-but-not-really added in the household? I'm clueless here...sorry!) If not, I'll just be careful and check out hired staff for occult traits before keeping them employed.

Anyway, I do like this mod! I also love the above idea (pass out and a rescue attempt before death) if there's anyway to implement it. Thanks again!

Honestly not sure what might have happened. I edited the failure interaction of hygiene for mermaids, since in-game hydration is treated as hygiene. The need itself shouldn't be affected. So regardless of played status, if the hydration need is locked to not decay, that shouldn't have happened. Did any specific situation lead to the maid dying? I can't think of anything that would tank a locked stat. :/

Hmm.. it may be a conflict then. I've got a few other mermaid mods... Sirens by Zero and Expanded Mermaids by SpinningPlumbobs are the big ones. Also MizoreYukii's Mermaids Can Use Ladders (and a compatibility patch for it with Zero's mod) ... I was sure yours loaded up first though.... hmm.... I'll have to go through my whole mods folder and see if I missed anything. Let me try putting your mod in the override folder and do some testing tonight. Sorry for bringing this up if it's my own dumb fault! x.x

Don't apologize lol it might just be something I'm not thinking of. If your maid with locked hygiene is having motive failure for it, the issue is with something that affects the motive itself. I honestly don't think any of those mermaid mods affect that, but I could be wrong. There has to be something preventing the other mods' lock on hygiene, but no idea what it might be.

if anything try setting the mods that should lock hygiene as override instead tbh

I think the hidden buff in this mod has the same problem as the plantsim bloodline.

Quick question. What if my sims pisses themselves? Will my sim die immediately?
