Very appropriate. Could you possibly make one for desks?

As in, a claimable desk, so that sims would only use their own desk? That might be rather complex, due to the fact that the actual interactions which cause a sim to sit at a particular desk are controlled by other objects and not the desk, itself, at least from what I've seen. There's probably indirect autonomy scoring that controls selection of a particular desk, though.

Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but Little Ms Sam has already created a mod called Personal Objects, which allows for claiming of chairs, bookshelves, gaming consoles, computers, musical instruments, and various other objects. That may offer the functionality you're looking for. If that still doesn't cover what you're interested in, though, let me know. I could have a look sometime and see what I can figure out.

I haven't had the chance to work on updating my mods due to real life problems / medical issues. I will probably need to rework my mods entirely. Apologies to all using my mods for how long it's taken to hear back from me.

EDIT: Apparently, the dressers don't save claim information, as MLGMagicHoodini had said back in September of 2022. No idea why this is. My only assumption at the moment is that something was altered by the patch(es) associated with High School Years, which has affected the code for how Sims are "stored" by claimed objects. Trying to find a solution, but not sure I will be able to restore the functionality as it was previously via XML. Might have to settle for a workaround.
