Antibodies after a Sickness!

UPDATE (30.07.2022): Fixed a bug that would cause every Sim's immunity tokens to be removed after 24 Sim hours, instead of only the Sim in question as it was intended by me.

Ever got annoyed about Sims in a large household constantly infecting one another once one contracted a cold or the flu? Did you ever get tired of having the family in a constant state of throwing coughing fits and having to keep their motives very high, and eventually them being the cause for neighbourhood-wide infections when they start throwing parties? I know I did.

At the same time, I dislike mods that give permanent immunity to Sims, even if this treatment costs a lot of Simoleons, it is simply not what I wish to have in my game.

In real life, whenever someone is sick with anything, be it the flu, the cold, or anything else, their immune system develops antibodies against the particular branch of disease, making them unable to contract it again for a certain amount of time, usually several months.

I wanted to reflect this in the game, too, but I know that the disease tokens, which spread the sicknesses to those walking over them, stick around for quite a while, so it'd have to be longer than that, in order to achieve what I was going for.

So after thinking about it for a while, I went to work and created my own solution to the problem I saw.

With this simple mod in your Downloads folder, any Sim that gets healthy after having had any disease will be immune to any disease for one full Sim day, giving the family a realistic chance to let the sickness fade away and finally break out of the loop.

For the mod to work, only the base game is needed!

Resource nameType nameTypeGroupInstanceInstance (high)
Sub - Get HealthyBehaviour Function0x424841560x7F8A70B60x0000101B0x00000000

Anything that overwrites this particular BHAV will also conflict with this mod.

MATY's real-sickness mod does not alter the resource so it is okay to use along with this mod.
However, I know that my mod will clash with simler90's Disease Mod, as it modifies the same resource in a way that load order can't resolve.

What a great idea! I am sick of my sims becoming ill every other second and interrupting real play. Especially my active ones who will never lie down in the first place. Thank you, thank you!

That's a must have mod I really appreciate you respect Reality here.Thank you for correcting some lack of logic from EA.
I hope the antibodies are included into the mod, because I don't know where they are in game.

Lucie is not my real name, she was a sims from a story I imagined a dozen years ago.
I speak French only. If my statements are harsh, rude for you, that's not intentional. I just think Different due to my Language and my Culture.
But truly, I am open-minded than you think of.

Bear with me please as things will get a bit technical here.

The antibodies are, in fact, an immunity token that is already included with the vanilla game. If you were to spawn the "MakeMeSick tester" in the debug menu, you could give yourself the same immunity permanently. Thus, there was no need for me to include anything, in fact, and that makes me the more surprised that nobody considered this yet!

So you can't really "find" or "buy" these antibodies, as they are an invisible token that is attached to a Sim as a sort of... memory, if you will?
This "memory" is then wiped again after 24 Sim hours, making the Sim prone to diseases again.

Thank you! The sick-healthy-sick-healthy dance was a bit ridiculous.
