Just a quick question: I have the Ani-Woodcutter mod and I was wondering how many pieces of wood do you allow for the fire under the cauldron to need? Did you set that number or did Ani's mod set the number? Where do I find it in S3pe? I have looked around in S3PE but I didn't see where it would be. Don't want to mess things up.

Heya!

This mod does not actually mess with ani's “Light Fire” interaction, so the number of wood should be the standard one required by her mod (I believe it's one piece to light a fire). Also while Flavor2 of this mod was specifically designed to go with the Woodcutter Tree mod, you don't actually have to enable it if you don't want to – I personally play without it because I want my sims to be always able to cook, even when they don't have firewood in their inventory. The only issue is that ani's “Light Fire” interaction will sometimes show up multiple times with this method.

Thank you for this mod, I'm playing a Through Time challenge and it's wonderful to have this available for the Roman and Medieval generations.
One thing I have noticed is that I have the call to meal mod installed and when I have my sims call to meal with vegetable soup the teens and children don't come. The YAs, adults and elders come to the table and eat just fine. But children and teens, the eat option is not there. I have to put the individual servings of soup in the fridge so they become leftovers, then the children and teens can eat it. Oddly enough when spaghetti was served the children and teens were called to meal and they were able to come and eat just fine.

This is the first time I've played this save in a while so it has only seen the latest version of the mod (v1.0.4). I tried the vegetable soup twice and got the same results both times. I do have a lot of mods that add ingredients and new recipes to the game so it could well be a quirk of my game but thought it might be worth mentioning? I hope I don't come across as nitpicking, I am loving this mod and how it's improving my game. Thank you.

This is incredible, I've been wanting this mod for so long, and I've been making do with shoving a bunch of cc together to make it look like a functioning fireplace cauldron, but this will definitely be a vast improvement. Thank you! I'm so excited to try it!!!

Worked fine BUT I wanted to point out I had problems in buy mode picking the fireplace back up to reposition it elsewhere or delete it even right after placing it using the hand tool or the hammer too (for deleting) so instead I had to hit undo. If this could be fixed it would be perfect. Is there any chance you could do that?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I just did some testing and this problem does not seem to occur in my game. Would you mind answering the following questions, so I can try to figure out what's causing it for you?

1. Which patch version are you using?
2. Did you download the newest version of this mod?
3. Did you put all the files included in the download into your Mods folder?
4. Does the issue occur each time you try to place one of the Fireplaces or was it a one-time thing?
5. Do you have any mods in your game that are related to either fireplaces or food that might be causing a conflict?

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hey. I have kUseFlavor2 set for my medieval game so that I can use it with Ani's mod to require firewood to cook. I'm seeing this on the cauldron.

It's possible there's a mod conflict for something unexpected in Ani's mod that is not making this smooth. I'll do more research.

Oh dang, I thought this was caused by me replacing the "Light Fire" interaction but I guess there's something else causing it. Thank you for making me aware of this, hopefully I can figure out the root of the problem at some point.

I'll try loading up my game with just this and see what happens.

Thank you so very much for this mod!! It makes medieval games so much better , and thank you for making a version compatible with Ani’s woodcutter mod!

I did get an ErrorTrap message, though, and it was recommended that I send it on to you. It looks like an inactive sim was serving a meal, and something went wrong. I quit to the desktop without saving, but got the error message again.

Thank you very much for your time, and thanks again for the wonderful mod!

Hey- if you said something to me in a post and I didn't write back, I'm sorry. Sometimes I don't feel good enough to post and by the time I'm able to the thread's old enough that I feel kind of weird about bumping it just to post one or two sentences. So please don't take it personally! :)

Sorry I didn't get the respond any sooner but I have had a most insane year which I won't bore the world with the details of, instead I'll just answer your questions.

1: 1.67
2: I did download the newest version.
3: Yes all 5 in the Mod/Packages folder
4: Seems to be every time as I tried multiple times in the same save and also in 2 others with the same result.
5: I do have a few new food mods from icemunum (Sp?) and one that allows you to cook foods at any hour. I'm not sure why they might conflict or if they do though.
I hope thats some help.

If you update this mod can you make an elixir version for witches so they can research alchemy (stirring the cauldron animation) and actually make elixirs from it too? And if you choose to do so, can you make sure it's compatible with the Enhanced Witches mod from PuddingFace?
