This sounds great! Unfortunately, it conflicts with Simler90's Visitor Mods (Lot Visit Mod). That mod does quite a few things but if I'm right in making the assumption that Instance X People only affects secret hobby lots, then I think the only conflicting features are this: "This update fixes issues with the way the game determines which sim to bring to a secret hobby lot. In an unmodded game, the game can bring sims who are part of the currently controlled sim's family, which should never be allowed. It can also bring sims who are currently in the Family Bin. The game can't bring such sims to secret hobby lots any more." which all sound like valuable fixes too.

@BellaDovah, thank you for the info, I will make a version with those fixes. I don't know about bin sims, though. Should they really be excluded?

@Lamare Apparently, Sims in the Family Bin are intended to have a place in some kind of "limbo" where although they are not intended to interact normally with other sims until they are placed on a lot, the game allows it in other ways, so, I think that's the reason why simler90 excluded them in their mod. Also, it makes it easier to keep your family as clean as possible until you find a lot for them, 'cause you can intercat with them in other ways if you want to...

That's awesome, thanks so much for the update Lamare! You're on an absolute roll, pumping out some real gems. I'm very glad the Bin sims were excluded because I have a lot of bin families I don't want the sims in my neighbourhood to interact with, I want to delete them but daren't so with mods that prevent them showing up places, I thankfully never have to see them!

I don't understand why the game only allows one or two visitor Sims at a time on hobby lot. In my game, in a cooking contest, the participants are always my currently played Sim, two visitors, and the hobby instructor herself because there's no one else available on the lot. I wish there's more Sims on hobby lot like on regular community lot. Unfortunately, cheat code intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims has no effect on this type of lot .

Hm. I guess the number of visitors can be helped, but it would be a separate mod. I don't remember how the game determines this number right now, so I can't tell you more.

That would be awesome. I landed here because I was searching for a mod that increased the number of visitors. I only get 2 sims. Often one is an Uni professor. That situation is so annoying.

To @Polarbear and others interested. Check out the new version!
- with "MORE" version there are more visitors to hobby lots: 5-10 sims at the start + a 50% chance of 1-3 new visitors every hour, up to 15 in total.

Thanks for including an option to have just a regullar fix or one with more visitors which means trading them out if I want to switch versions to increase visitors in a larger and rapidly growing town.

I don't really understand what this mod does from the description. It allows more visitors on hobby lots? Or is that just the update? What did it originally do?

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

@simsfreq so, on hobby lots, there's a process of generating uncontrolled visitors. This mod changes it by adding some more rules: who can or can't come, how many of them, and what happens when they arrive. Please read the "What it does" part of the description to learn the details.

Recently I've started having this weird issue where as my Sims are arriving on a hobby lot in the taxi, the visitors who are already there when the lot loads all decide to leave the lot at once. It doesn't happen every time and I've never seen it happen when walking, just taking the taxi (I haven't tested driving yet) and it only seems to affect hobby lots, not other community lots (although maybe I've just been lucky with those). I assume the game checks to make sure there is at least one active Sim on the lot and sends everyone home if there isn't, but for some reason it's not giving my Sims enough time to arrive before making everyone leave. It's not the biggest problem as most of them will return eventually, but it is getting a bit annoying.

EDIT: I think this happens when the game takes too long to load the lot. Since I switched to the RPC Launcher and bypassed the awful EA App entirely, my game has been running much better and loading lots much more quickly, and this issue seems to be gone. The only exception (which pretty much proves it to me) is when I had a first kiss cutscene play in the background while the lot was loading, so the game had to wait for that to play out before the lot loaded and my Sims arrived, and everyone left right away.
