who are the people buried at the goths graveyard... ( 5 Sim Lane)
So this is just trying to figure out who are these people buried at the goths graveyard..Well I made a research on TSW about the ghosts haunting 5 Sim Lane and really nobody actually figured out who they're really are..so I wanted to do a group research on this forum about it.... so the ghosts haunting the house are: Grandma, Grandpa, Cousin, Uncle, Auntie, Boy, Bratty, Vegas, so lots of them died young like boy and bratty, or even cousin, uncle, auntie, vegas, so how can they be related? So what I found so far is: Grandpa may be victor goth, and bratty, boy are a very far distant relatives, but actually there's a lot mysterious things so I hope that if you have some theories share it to help all of us, Thanks !

That graveyard was really creepy, i think there were two kids that looked exactly like cassandra, and one of the grown ups ghosts looked like mortimer, it's like a parallel Goth family living in another univers

creepy

The one that really seems like the outlier is Vegas. He was bald, if I remember. The name made me wonder if he wasn't a relative, but some hapless soul (or trickster - a card player, maybe?) that was visiting the Goths in the past.

I'd like to replace the ghosts with period garb. I thought that may make them more interesting.

But come on there's something that must be known about them, I kept looking at the family tree : http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb...GothFamTree.png for like an hour trying to figure it out, so but so far I found this page about That dead granny : http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Grandma and it was unofficially confirmed that she's Bella's Grandmother : http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Enriqueta_Bachelor and that what I found so far..so I also agree that Vegas was a visitor of the goths... I'll try to make more researches today.

In my mind, I see some scenarios from Dark Shadows, especially concerning the kids because they're wearing modern garb and one looks like Cassandra. Your research could help me make better ghosts at the Goth manor. Maybe we'll just have to speculate for the rest

Yes since they're modern outfits they may have died early before the beginning of the sims, really, let's focus on the others because those little devils death is so mysterious

But hey! I found even more: The grandpa is NOT victor goth, it was also unofficially confirmed that he may be bella's grandpa: http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Milton_Bachelor http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Grandpa so currently I figured two out, now it's getting harder :o

hmmm after some time of researching I found that there's no deceased children in the goth-bachelor family, so they may be relatives of vegas, just suggesting!!

That was an interesting history. I have to argue with your statement that they are not really buried in the graveyard. They are. Their ghosts leave the graves nightly, which is how posters know about them. If you hover your mouse over the ghost, the name of the deceased appears.

What is the installer thingy for TS2? I never saw that...?

Where do you get the canons? Victor, Gretle, Simon, etc...we're named in Sims 2, but not in Sims 1. In Sims 1, there is bratty, Vegas, etc...those are the Sims buried in the graveyard. We learn nothing of the Goth family until Mortimer's parents join the neighborhood in Unleashed.

One could and possibly should argue that the canon belongs to Sims 1.

The main thing we all need to remember is that Maxis made Sims 1 and EA/Maxis made Sims 2.

"Retcon" is retroactive continuity? I had to look that up, it's a newish word, not standard. I guess I could see that. I would think that creative people have all kinds of ideas that they develop over time, discarding some, adopting others, and rethinking things from time to time.

I've been playing the Goths and every single night the place turns into freaking ghost busters with Boy, Brat and Uncle scaring the crap out of all my poor Goths.

This is probably a bit of a stretch but I'll just mention it since we're all just guessing. The Cornelia and Gunther Goth kind of seem to have a southern Gothic look to their house and appearance. They also have an interest in magic (maybe voodoo?) And the world that the sims 4 takes place in for the Goths is based on New Orleans. I know that TS4 takes place in an alternate reality but if the location doesn't differ, then New Orleans is known as the Vegas of the South. This could possibly explain why a gambler would have any business visiting the Goths. A stretch for sure but fun to think about. Cornelia and Gunther have a gothic southern French look about them and their home in TS3.

Totally not a stretch because Old Town that Gunther founded was based off of New Orleans.

I go by the theory that they are probably Bella's family.
Grandpa and Grandma are most likely her grandparents, Milton and Enriquita.
Aunty could be Simis' older sister, Vegas could have been married to Auntie and died before her and Cousin could be their son.
Uncle could have married Auntie after Vegas died or he could be Simis' Brother.
Bratty and Boy could be Uncle's children.
Obviously this is all speculation on my part.

When I made Old Town for Sims 2 I used the dead family members for the Goth, Bachelor and Crumplebottom's families as the dead sims.

I always thought they were just placeholder relatives before Maxis decided to revamp the Goths's backstory and extended family. With Grandpa and Grandma being Mortimer's parents, Cousin and Vegas some distant relatives, Boy and Bratty being Cassandra's weird cousins or just creepy ghosts who took on her appearance for the sake of creepiness. Then they came up with Gunther and Cornelia as Mortimer's real, living parents.

Too bad Maxis didn't let us know who are the 11 deceased relatives buried on the Goth Sr home at 77 Maple Street (In my head canon they are Victor, Gretle, Frida, Samuel, Olivia, Lolita, Simon, Prudence, Simis and Jocasta. The 11th tombstone being either Minerva Goth or Helen Hall)
