FAQ

Date Posted: 18th Sep 2006 at 4:52 PM

Snagged from my own Story List & FAQ page. Some of these questions were sent to me via email. This the abbreviated version.

Q: Are your sims available for download?
A: I'm sorry, but none of my sims are available for download.

Q: What graphics program do you use?
A: Paint Shop Pro 9 is the program I use the most.

Q: Are you a professional writer?
A: No, though I hope to be one someday.

Q: Are you a professional artist? Where can I buy your work?
A: I used to dabble in the business but got out of it early. As for buying my artwork, I don't have anything for sale yet, but I hope to change that in the future.

Q: What are your computer & graphics card specs?
A: Computer: Intel Pentium 4, 3.4 Ghz, 1GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive. My card is an nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GTO with 256mb of video memory. I'm using nVIDIA's version 61.78 drivers (I don't use the latest drivers because they've proven to be unstable with my configuration).

Q: Can I send you my sim!self so I can marry your sim and start a Legacy Challenge?
A: I'm sorry, but because of time constraints, that's not possible.

Q: Can you make a sim for me?
A: I'm sorry, but because of time constraints, that's also not possible.

[PHOTOSHOOT] The Last Days of Summer

Date Posted: 7th Sep 2006 at 10:22 PM

Click on this link to view the shoot in gallery view. 80 pictures (including the teaser). 5 pages. 702x527.

Warnings and notes: 1 of the pics is NSFW (although I did obscure the naughty bits with foliage). Also, you may need to click on them more than once to view them at full size.

Description: About a couple of months ago, I wanted to do a special clothing shoot using the fabulous Fanseelamb's creations. But because of the repeated delays due to computer and game problems, and because I was trying to finish other projects, I didn't get a chance to take care of this until recently. At the time, I didn't even have a theme.

The idea for The Last Days of Summer came to me after seeing Fanseelamb's colorful t-shirt and shorts ensembles. I had originally planned to do the shoot using her darker-colored clothing but changed my mind since I already have numerous pictures of my boys wearing them (my boys and I are rather fond of those!!). Anywho, the two concepts just seemed made for each other --- finally, the project had a theme --- so I gathered my boys around me, and started packing...

Notes: Clothing is by Fanseelamb (of course!), hair by Peggy's, Sshodan, Seomi, Maxis, skintones by Enayla and Navetsea, piercings by 77 Sim Lane. The build mode and buy mode objects come from a host of very talented creators. I downloaded most of the tropical-themed stuff from TSR (Cyclonesue, Windkeeper, Bitzybus, SimAddict99, Shannanigans, MissyZ, just to name a a few. Thanks Kara, for the info!).

I made a few recolors of my own, like the shorts on Lemonade Girl and the poker table.

Emil's Heart Tattoo

Date Posted: 26th Aug 2006 at 2:13 PM

A while back, I decided to change Emil's tattoos. I wanted something extra special for him, one he could call his own. For myself, I wanted something I could retain full intellectual property rights to.

I spent some time mulling things over before I actually sat down, pencil in hand, to sketch the design. I think I made only three before settling on this one.

After I refined the sketch, I rendered it in watercolor; after it dried, I scanned it, cleaned it up as best I could, used the black and white points adjustment in PSP 9, then slapped it onto the original Opaline skintone that Enayla created.

Click on this link to view some pictures. I also made 2 wallpapers of Emil & Kit (1 of each) for desktops with 1024x768 resolution.

[Photoshoot] A Stygian Shindig

Date Posted: 24th Aug 2006 at 3:27 AM

The idea for this special photoshoot was born after my good friend Christin sent me her version of the Crypt O'Night Club. At first I was going to confine picture-taking to the club but you know how it goes --- one thing leads to another and before you know it, the shoot has outgrown its initial boundaries.

There are 85 710 x 535 pictures (including the teaser) with enormous file sizes, making it a dial-up nightmare.

You can view it by heading over to my gallery --- just click on this link. :D
