Virus on my PC

Date Posted: 26th Jun 2008 at 7:39 AM

I had some lovely days of break on the sea with friends and when back at home, yesterday, I discovered that my PC got a crappy virus. Unable to remove it. I thought my PC was absolutely safe, since I have Norton 360 (really useless! bleah) and may antispyware, antimalware and so on, I often clean the whole system, the registry, well I did the right steps ...

I tried for quite all night long to remove it but this trojan horse is one of the most dangerous ever seen, so ... after a long and hard discussion with my boyfriend and my daughter (who of you put the hands on my computer, and why? don't you have yours?) I need to transfer the main things to the external HD and then proceed to restore.

However I suspect that this evil virus reached the heart of the system, my back ups are gone, my administrator rights are not as I remember, I don't see the restore option any more ... I'd a lot of words in italian for better define this situation .... Well, my next evenings will be very busy, this nightmare's leading my anxiety level to the top.

I only regret not to have enough time for doing the same, at least not on a regular basis: I mean visiting journals, reading, commenting ... I'll try to be more present, promised (but, hey some of you don't have a journal, what are you waiting for?)

Happy to be part of the ESB family, thanks forever to Lee and Aud! :lovestruc
I'm thrilled and excited for this new adventure! In the next days I'll upload some new creations there so stay tuned.

I worked very hard for many weeks on a sci-fi lot which unfortunately I discovered, in the testing phase, freeze my game. Too bad! I'm trying to find out the problem even if when it occured in the past the funcionality of the lot was never recovered ... I'll replicate it, but it will take months because now I'm working also on other projects.

I'm also waiting for the AGS updating .... what a mess! In the meantime I'm exceeding with coffee and when I'll go to my doctor he will surely shout hard words to me! he can't understand, he's not a simmer so I can't even explain to him .... :P

A beautiful and cozy bungalow by Rike
http://www.thesorceressandcompany.com/

I'd like to thank V1nd1care :lovestruc here in "pubblic", and other MTS2 staff members, for having helped me in sorting out an annoying situation.

What else? I'm running as a mad atom, for my job and other personal facts, so no real news on my planet.
The good things are that my right arm is finally recovered at 100%, my car is now OK and my daughter finally went to Spain for her stage (after having spent so much money -my money- as she had to go to the moon )

Next projects are a walls&floors set and a couple of lots (one beach house and another one which seems very intricate ....)

I'll be away for my job for some days over the next two weeks and my projects will delay a bit more.
Hope that I'll finish at least the Sci-Fi project for next contest! Well, it's weird to think of it since it's still only in my mind and dosn't reveal itself yet.
Have a look of this

November !!!!

Date Posted: 5th Nov 2007 at 12:02 PM

November is my favourite month. Yes, it comes with rainy days but also with sunny and still warm days, and fantastic colors.
November is the right month also for cooking! In Italy we have lot of recipes for rich and juicy food for the autumn season, something named “cassoeula”, “stracotto”, “pizzoccheri”, “polenta vuncia”…. Here in the north of Italy these are the prizes we give to ourselves when the weather is going to be colder.
Have a look of them!

Cassoeula: pork meat, sausages and vegetables

Pizzoccheri: pasta made with buckwheat, vegetables, fontina and grana cheese and potatoes
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/...izzoccheri2.jpg

Stracotto con polenta, beaf meat with barolo, red italian wine

My November projects:
- lots for the Fairy Contest: progress 1%, just the idea (don’t know if I’ll be able to build and post in time for participating)
- lot for my birthday: progress 90%
- lot-shop PKDick Village: progress 90%
- church built together with my daughter NocturneLady: progress 70%
- Anima Nera: set of dark recolors: progress 50% but probably it will shift to December
- add a personal pic in the Yearbook
- add here a pic of my new cat, Xavier, 4 months, white-and-cream, blue eyes, very sweet pet even if he has a "gangsta walking style", hehe

Ciao a tutti
