Shane ran into a mummy while exploring a tomb in Jericho. He lost and got cursed. So off I was to Egypt and the Sphinx to get that sorted out. I like that the moodlet is generous with time at least, 14 days. Now, I've never had the misfortune of being cursed before, so I had never seen the cleansing ritual and boy was it cool. More intense that I thought it would be. There's a tiny issue with Egypt though... Shane is a light sleeper and the other adventurers doesn't understand the concept of "night means sleep". They kept waking Shane up when he tried to sleep. At least the blessing of the Sphinx filled up his energy need. I'm gonna have to make the two of them sleep in one of the camps instead, away from noisy sims.
After a little adventure through the Great Pyramid and dinner at the market, Cieran got the want to propose to Shane. I locked that right in. I did not realize that you couldn't just go "propose", so they had a date in the Market tomb (okay maybe not the most romantic place) until Cieran got the option to propose. Shane said yes! I wish I had been a little quicker with the camera but I got a somewhat decent one (tho... I won't share it. Cos Shane was shirtless, having taken a dip in the market pool. So it's probably not okay to share on here.) It was also a full moon at the time, so they got the "kissed under the moon" moodlet aswell. |

I'm pretty sure the EA default is that you can only send one young adult and up on vacation. They really only intended vacations to be you send one person off to explore the tombs. |

Moodswing. Got scolded twice for plating pranks. Back into timeout. Henry really is a handful.
Also he hasn't been to school for days due to heavy snowfall and soon it's prom. He has no date because he just annoy everyone he knows. Poor sod. |
@ He has nice hair though!

Thank you! I struggled with it. I wanted him to have a punk hairstyle with colored tips. It was difficult to find one that looked just right. I tried the typical "emo" hair (half face covered) and the faux mohawk but it didn't look good. This ended up to be the nicest looking one. I considered leaving the roots as his normal hair color, aswell as eyebrows and soulpatch. But it just looked bad... so I went full black, so to say. |

I had some odd empty text boxes just now. One regular and one with a red border. I guess the game got confused because there was both prom AND a gift giving party going on. I guess the texts was giving me advice or warnings... but nothing showed.
Anyway here's Henry running to the limo. Also I gave him a snake... cos it seems like the thing a rebellious punk teenager would like to have. ![]() While at prom he got a text about someone wearing the same tuxedo which... doesn't seem like that big of a deal for y'know a guy... there aren't many choices after all. Edit. Y'know... I never thought I'd say that I miss the radio channels from Sims 4... but during the party I did. There's no winter channel. Not on the stereo I bought anyhow. Never knew so much could happen at prom. It's fun to see these little updates. I just wish Henry would stop getting into fights! Edit. Thrice now. ![]() Mommy is driving in style. |

This is my current project. I got the exterior like I want. I'm now working on the interior. I'm struggling a bit to think of what to add. On the right side there's this long wide corridor I don't know what to do with. It's needed to reach the rooms further in. The shape is awkward and I'm not sure how to make it look less empty. I put down some flowers and a grandfather clock. That said, I'm happy with the first floor... though I wish I had enough space to fit in a pool table. But those have a huge footprint. On the second floor there's plenty of room. Too much. There's place for four bedrooms, library and two toilets aswell as two staircases (one leading up the tower). It feels like too much. I'm going to have to rethink the floor plane. I do want at least a library, master bedroom, kid's room and at least one bathroom. There isn't much on the top floor. However as it's hidden behind a "secret" door, there could be some nefarious stuff going on up there. Like alchemy or gem cutting. Also, yes I'm aware that there are no wall or floor coverings. I'll get to it eventually. It's a work in progress. I kinda started out by sketching out the shape and where things go first. Then I'll fix the walls and floor and add some more decorations. |

I honestly believe Legacy Island iii is cursed. The only event-type mod I have installed is story progression. Everything else is just NRAAS and skill adjustments. My Sim doesn't even have the Unlucky trait. I shared some of this on a Discord server and people think I'm playing TS3 on hard mode, lol.
![]() First Sim week of a brand new save. I think on the night of day 4 of the save the horror began. My legacy founder, Iris Color, was reading, peacefully, on her bench. Meteorite hit. As everything was burning, aliens showed up. The very next night, day 5, she was robbed. The man got away with her bench. Later that day, her fiance was arrested. They got eloped I think on the 6 day. One of the very few happy days. They celebrated on day 7 with a huge party. Another meteorite hit and killed Angela Pleasant and also her best friend/boss, Constance. Not even a Sim hour or so later, while mourning her loss outside, she was struck by lightning. Again, aliens arrived on the scene. At least I can say the game is keeping me entertained, lol. I'm just so happy to be able to play a large world for the first time with all EPs and SP and not wanting to tear my hair out. Upgrading my PC has been a blessing and this has been the most I've ever enjoyed the game. I can't wait to build an even better one, though! I am so excited to actually be able to play a multiple generational save without my PC crapping out me! |

Today I made a pair of sisters inspired by a song called Avundsjuk (Jealous) by Nanne Grönvall. One sister is beautiful, rich and always gets her way. While the other is jealous of her. Evie, the jealous one, is Unlucky, Hot-headed, Genius, Hopeless Romantic and Mean Spirited. While her sister Lara is Flirty, Over-Emotional, Coach Potato, Irresistible and a Diva. The traits makes sense if you have heard the song. I moved them into the same house in Aurora Skies. They quickly got into arguments and now dislike one another. At the same time they both have a Want to make up and be friends again. Now, Lara... I've tried to play her as a bit of a femme fatale and woo the men around town... but it hasn't worked out. Despise being flirty and irresistible she really has a hard time flirting with people! I didn't realize it would be that hard. Maybe the Diva trait is the issue... but she's supposed to be self-absorbed as per the song. I'll have to work on that.
Lara Lara started the Army career... but quit a day in. The career is too athletically demanding for her liking. Also... is it just me, or does she have some of that Caliente energy? She kinda looks like Dina. Evie Evie joined the Music career as her LTW is Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers. The "alien ears" is a nod to Nanne's stage outfit when she performed it in the Swedish auditions for the Eurovision Song Contest. She had so called "Mr Spock" ears on. Evie's eyes are also green... because of the "green-eyed monster of jealously". Idea no. 2. I made a family and moved them into the house I built (see above). The family is run by the matriarch Gemma, a witch. While she does want to reach the top of the culinary career, the idea I got is building a coven. The idea is that she comes from a long line of witches, a matriarchy. Which makes her less than pleased that her firstborn is a boy. He's teenager, and also a witch. But storywise, his mother didn't bother training her cos, well he's a boy. So he's left to train himself. Gemma has a husband... but in the story she just wanted him to carry on the legacy. (I couldn't make him the dad of Jamie without marrying them in CAS) Poor sod however is family oriented and wants 5 kids. He's sticking around because of their shared kid, Jamie. Though he does hope for more... The last member of the family is Gemma's adoptive sister Nicola. She isn't a witch. Gemma is planning on turning her to a witch. But she needs alchemy 9 to make the witches potent brew. I might turn off aging for this one tho. I'm not sure there would be enough time else... or I suppose I could extend the life span... Btw, I was pleasantly surprised that Peter's LTW wish recognised that he already had one kid raised to teenager. Now he only got 4 more to go... poor Gemma. (Though I suppose she wouldn't be too unhappy if she got a daughter) |

I went ahead and bought More magic! from the Store to enhance my witch coven. I had my witch "conjure" on the cauldron and try her hand at brewing a potion. She discovered the "Teleportation brew". It's an expensive one; rainbow butterflies, luminous gem and a life fruit. Neither which I got. Now, when I opened the cauldron there was a life fruit in there! Which is huge. Those are very rare. I don't think she has high enough gardening to plant it tho.
I also bought the Bonehilda coffin and a chemistry set to fulfil Gemma and Peter's wants. Nicola panicked when she saw Bonehilda and ran. (Speaking of running, during her panic I spotted a werewolf running past on all four. Just another day in Moonlight Falls I suppose.) Then I had Peter do some sciency stuff. (It's confusing how many "potions" there is in Sims 3. The chemistry set has some, alchemy some more and then we got the caludron. ) It went as expected... badly. Here we got Nicola looking after the garden. I hope the bees leaves her alone, she still hurting from her last bout with them. The teen of the family, Jamie wanted to go to the festival and swim in the ocean. There's no ocean in Moonlight Falls tho... so I'm not sure how to fulfill that want. Looks like there might be some beaches by the river. Maybe that's close enough? Anyway at the festival he went straight to competitive eating. Let's wish him good luck. (That said, I did spot a beach lot after writing this. That's probably the place to go) I'm starting to run out of room in the mansion. Which is unexpected. I might have to build an auxiliary building. Or add an attic. One could fit under the roof, something I was considering when building. Now... I'm not sure how routing would fare as an attic would have less roof height. (Something I discovered when playing with the idea of putting down a spiral stair to lead up on top.) The lot in Moonlight Falls is slightly larger than the one I built on (a 40x40 instead of a 30x30) so I do have space. Not just the funds... (edit. I made an attic. Expensive. But the floor and walls coverings were free! For now I'm using it as storage.) Btw... I believe this child Zoe Durwood is Evil... she laughed maniacally and faked a cough to cover it up. My matriarch Gemma has wanted a cat for the longest time. I caved today and had her adopt one. Her name is Luna. Friendly and Playful. Curiously enough, Gemma got a "animal familiar" moodlet. I didn't know that cats and minor pets automatically became familiars. In Sims 2 you had to learn how to summon a familiar and in Sims 4 you find them. (I think you can turn a pet in Sims 4 into a familiar?) So that's nifty. Oh and also, Jamie wants to learn how to drive (despise having his own transport in the form of a broom). I like the idea of his mundane dad teaching him so here they are. Lastly, Gemma is pregnant. Peter wants five children and she wants a female heir (storywise... she did roll a want for a boy. I chose to ignore that). Now she needs to cobble down a lot of watermelon to make sure it's a girl. Edit. Say hi to Jenifer, the latest addition to the family. The birth went by without complications. Though it was hilarious how the dad freaked out while Gemma patiently made the bed. Not bothered the slightest. |

Jamie grew up. I wasn't able to throw a birthday party because he worked after school so there was no time.
![]() ![]() Bonus pic, Jamie and his baby sister (she's a toddler now). Aww... little Jennifer was struggling so I had Jamie deal with her as their mum was just too tired. I'll add a pic of grown-up Jamie snuggling her. But what I wanna say first is how adorable it was that once he put Jennifer back into the crib she reached out to him like "no, don't go!". Cute. I've no idea where the blond genes come from... her mum is a redhead and her dad has black hair. Post-graduation photo. Why oh why did Jamie wear a cap to graduation? ![]() I just noticed the rewards he got from school. He was the class clown (which makes sense... the guy managed to prank the entire school by releasing 50 000 frogs. ![]() |
