Double post, because my day just got a thousand times better.

I have a friend who is constantly trying to set me up with her cousin- he's seven years older than me, is a screenwriter living in Los Angeles, and, according to her, we have all the same interests and are therefore soulmates. I keep telling her that there's too much of an age difference and he's far too short for me, but she persists in sending me pictures of him, sending me links to his blog, telling me all the juicy details of his life, promising that she's going to make us meet when he next comes to town for a visit, etc. I was picking my dad up at the airport tonight when, lo and behold, I see my friend's infamous cousin getting into the same terminal as my dad. I seriously contemplated approaching him, but he was in the middle of a heartfelt reunion with his parents and it would have been waaaay too weird: "Hi, I'm Adrienne. I know this is really bizarre, but your cousin thinks we're destined for one another." How do you communicate that sort of thing without sounding batshit crazy? And, if I'd approached him, he'd have to know that my friend was sending me pictures of him, because how else would I recognize a perfect stranger? It would have been too creepy.

Anyway, it was almost cosmic. My friend insists that this is confirmation of fate's existence . Talk about a small, small world. Infinitesimal, really.

^ Wait, does he KNOW his cousin is trying to hook him up with you? If so then you should totally go for it, I mean I'd say age isn't anything but a number unless someone is twice your age. If he's cute and interested just see where it goes from their ^_^ But what about your parents? My only issue would be my dad, I'd have to worry about the well-being of a guy asking me out and he's 7 years older than me. If you're 17 then you have like less than a year before your 18 anyway... just throwing that out their =P

No, he doesn't know that she has proclaimed us soulmates, elsewise I would have approached him and introduced myself . My friend will be out of town and can't introduce us this trip, but he'll be back for Christmas, and then we're going to meet :P. The age difference is entirely off-putting, to me; maybe if I was twenty and he were twenty-seven, it would be okay, but the fact that I'm seventeen and our relationship would be illegal is a bit different. But he was definitely cute, even if he is five inches shorter than me. To make matters more embarrassing, my friend's mother has already called him up to ask if he saw a pretty blonde girl at the airport. Yes, even her mother thinks we're soulmates.

Had so much fun at the swimming pool today with a rather large group of friends. The boys took a bit longer and almost missed the train back home. They arrived to the train station just when the train did, our conversation went kind of like this:
Guys: Is this our train?
Us: Yeah.
Guys (to each other): Quick, we've got to buy some cigarettes.
They sure need to sort out their priorities. They didn't even consider buying a ticket. :P

It's the first day of August which means:

1. It's my mum's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUM!

So we're in a restaurant with my aunt and uncle and my seven-year-old cousin, Lilianna. She's drawing a "silly map", and I'm only half listening as she tells me about the map going through "the land of angels", and then "storm island". Cute, girly stuff. And I kinda tune her out a bit, she's going on about some castle, describing the trees and stuff and she says "...and DEATH-SPIKES for grass!" and everyone at the table is like "wut?" and then we all just burst out laughing. She later adds lava on top of the death-spikes, since they clearly weren't evil enough for her tastes.

One of my friends at Uni has just told us that she's pregnant. I do love new life And she'll be a great Mummy

Milly and I went into Sydney yesterday, and we were just sitting in a park when this guy who looks like Freddie from Skins comes up to us and goes "I just wanted to let you know that you two look really ladylike. I really like it." and then proceeded to sit down with us and have a lovely conversation with us. Milly and I were reflecting on it later and she said "I thought he was going to ask you out. He had that look. That 'I want to see you naked' look."

Well yesterday, I was stalking YouTube as per usual when I wandered onto my page to check for new messages and I saw that I had 121 subscribers. Last week, I was struggling for 100. :'D

I was too tired to post this yesterday, but I had a great day out shopping with my mother and I bought the most beautiful swimsuit I have ever seen AND it was practically half price AND it's just in time for going on vacation next Saturday. It's a 1950s-style floral halter neck. Fate.

My friend needed some biker gear so we decided to go and take a look. We took a bus to the shop to find that it had closed two hours before. The owner was there, though, and he couldn't resist two ladies in need, so he opened just for us. We spent most of the afternoon there, trying on helmets and gloves and drooling at the gorgeous bikes and motorcycles. I'm going back there as soon as I get my money back, I found the perfect bike for me. <3

Getting my school schedule and finding out that I have classes with numerous friends. This final year of high school is going to be awesome, even more so because I get to leave halfway through the day to take college classes.

I got a few shirts from Republic and Hollister. Awesome :D. I also found a new Vans college bag from FootLocker.

I finally got the courage to text him. Course, that was two days ago and I'm still waiting for a reply, but I'm so amazed with myself that I don't really care.

These two kids on the train home today. A lad and his younger sister, about 12 & 9 I'd say, I helped them find their train in the city ... They didn't do anything in particular, it was just nice to see them so happy, sitting together and constantly looking out the window for our stop (they were getting off at the end of the line, like me). Then the brother kept playing all these really funny ringtones, just to see his sister laugh. After a ratch day today, seeing them brightened everything up and made Friday just plain worth it

Getting checked out by a guy at the library who thought he was being sneaky, but when I noticed his attention and looked at him, he blushed and apologized. No guy has ever apologized for giving me the once-over before him; I thought it was sweet. I'm by no means one of those girls who gets horrifically offended when a guy checks her out (if they were dirty about it, I might be, but I think it's nice just to be looked at and appreciated), so he didn't need to apologize, but I love coming across the rare man who actually has a shred of etiquette about him.

Seeing my former favourite band live. This show would have meant the world for me two years ago, and it was still a one of a kind experience now - raw and powerful yet intimate and beautiful at the same time.

The end of this festival always marks the end of the summer for me, which is a good thing, too. Bring on my favourite season!

That, everyone is freaking epicness.

I have numerous friends who went there during the summer and said that it was worth neither the drive nor the money. According to them, everything is overpriced and there are only four rides. Who wants to go to an amusement park with only four rides? Based on that information, I'll take Disneyworld instead, the next time I'm in Florida.
