The elders of generation two pass away in peace. |
|
Kitty is still not resigned to Goz's death. Not one little bit, though she gets through the day all right. For one thing, it never mattered a jot before that Goz's sister Livva Ann married a fella that's hotter'n Hades. He wasn't a patch on her Goz and there was no harm in being friends with him. But now...now it bugs her. Brady Estic feels like he's gotten old overnight. He's a little worried about his teeth. And now he's got bifocals! But it's all a psych-out, really. "Yeah, man, still got it! Glasses and all! The better to see myself with, Grampa!" |

This is Erika, great-granddaughter of my Apox founder, who just had her elder birthday. She aged well, and can be seen in her younger days here.

Cyril and Bianca Larson, the founders of Tailor Bay:
They have three children and four grandchildren, and one on the way. |
PIerre Curian's morning routine now includes mourning at his wife's grave. Inseparable in life, how is it possible she died before him? Especially since she was the one with the full fitness bar and he's at maximum fat? The only exercise he ever got was yanking a joystick and woohooing her. His brother-in-law, Dr. Red Onions, is a workaholic like Marie was, but his wife Livva Ann knows how to get him to relax. Relaxed enough to play drums in his underwear on a Sunday afternoon - you've got to admit, that's pretty relaxed! Livva Ann teaches their granddaughter Pearl important life skills, like smustling. |

Theo playing with his grandchild, Scout. He takes as much time as possible to spoil the little redheaded toddler, since it feels like the end is very much creeping up on him, and Scout would be the last grandchild he will ever meet. I can't decide whether I like Nanny Seraphine Beer or not. On one hand, she's a total boss, responding to babies and their dirty diapers at an instant, cleaning toilets autonomously, dying her grayed hairs...on the other hand, when she's not doing babycare, she's doing absolutely nothing, like watching sports or on the swingset. Eh, she's pretty cool. "Waitaminnit..." "WHERE'D OUR SHOWER GO!?!" "Relax babe, it's just been replaced with a duplex. Simmer down, okay?" "Yeah, that seems fair." |
Don't be greedy, Fivey. She looks after the kids; that's what you pay her to do; it's copacetic.
The big day is finally here - Madge's daughter Margaret, newly graduated, is getting married. Madge's wedding to Margaret's father was a quiet civil affair, since his friends thought she was a gold-digger and her friends thought he was numbskull. But Margaret's getting the arch, and the cake, and the house full of relatives, and everything will be perfect - because Madge Estic says so. "If you came to prank the wedding, you're too late. The bride's upstairs, you can't see her, and I'm busy cleaning." "It looked like you were busy making out with your husband." "Either way, I'm a busy woman. What do you want?" "It's time, Madge. You wanted to see Margaret settled first. She's settled. Now you need to come with me." "Oh, for - can't you wait till she leaves on her honeymoon?" "No. If you die on her honeymoon, she'll have to cut it short and feel guilty about not being here for you. This is better." "Well, you have a point." "Look on the bright side. This way, you can haunt your descendants in your good clothes and tiara." "That's true. All right, then. Let's do this." |
During this round 3 of my core sims sims became elders. I was kinda sick of them, but after their transitions I started to really like them again, and now I hope they will live as long as possible.
Jack Hamilton. A fortune sim who met his LTW of becomming a Hall of Famer some time ago, so he´ll get to spend the rest of his life happy. Anna Kroon. During her life she has given birth to four children and her LTW is to see three of them graduating from college. Her two oldest kids are currently at college and her two youngest children will start pretty soon, so she´ll hopefully meet her LTT before the Grim Reaper comes. Sam Falck. His LTW was to have 20 best friends, and he met that want well before his transition, so now it´s all about having fun for him. |
"Good afternoon, Theo." "Huh. You sound familiar." "We spoke on the phone a few times. When you wanted to resurrect some of your family members?" "Oh, yeah. Duh. Grim Reaper. Why are you here?" "Uh, for you, obviously." "Wait, why? I just finished my siesta, can I at least get changed first?" "No, I'm on a tight schedule. Anyway, you've lived long enough, and that life was a happy one." "What about my kids?" "Your kids will be fine without you. As long as Ponsonby keeps his dick in his pants, Ulysses at least pretends he has a higher IQ than he does, and Eckhard doesn't try to die again, they're safe." "Well, if you say so. Wait, what about Eckhard?" "I said I was on a tight schedule. I'll explain on the way." "Uh...okay." Brenda, having had watched this happen, starts bawling. She never got to give a proper goodbye. |
"So, you're still able to make it down that hill, are you?" "What are you talking about, old man? I'm as spry as I ever was." Nathan never did warm up to the Hawkinses the way Mary did. Kitty's bossy, opinionated, has been finding fault with his boy Zeke ever since her daughter married him, she tells the filthiest jokes in Drama Acres, and holy cheese does he get antsy sitting next to her on the sofa! But of course she had to be invited along with Zeke and Pigeon and Dove, for Deb's birthday, and she was always there for Mary in the hard years. Of course she had to come to Deborah's birthday, and no doubt she'll be the life of the party. Him, he's going to grab some turkey and take a nap as soon as the candles are out. Mary is happily making the rounds hugging people when she feels a chill, and a sharp pain in her chest. (Grim's thought bubble contains the image of Harlan Hawkins, the same one the birthday girl is thinking of in the foreground. I guess Frank Munny has competition for Coolest Boy in School.) "Wha - How'd you get in here?" "The same way I always do. Nathan, do you want to be with Mary?" "What? Of course I do! It was just a little nap. Tell her I'll be right down." "She's not downstairs, but I can take you to her." "Well, all right - say, is that a tiki drink? I haven't had one of those in years!" Dr. Red Onions has had to attend the deaths of too many of the old gang lately, and it makes him weary. He wasn't strictly necessary, since Mary's son Ezekial is a doctor, but he's doing his residency as an ob/gyn. Red's granddaughter Pearl called him as soon as she realized something was wrong with Mary, and he doesn't mind attending. Zeke shouldn't have to pronounce on his own parents. |

"Hey, Berjes, see this hourglass?" "Yeah, what about it?" "It's your lifespan." "Okay." "All the sands are at the bottom." "So what?" "It means you'll have to come with me." "No, that can't be true! I haven't lived life yet!" "You've lived long enough! Stop being a little bitch!" "No!" "Berjes, you had plenty of time to live a happy life. I'm not the one who squandered that chance to get laid! Now, either come with me, or I'll go consult your son!" "You know, I really should of gotten the chance to know Casper better. He's a good kid." "Not my problem." "Fine, I'll go." "Good." Grim sends off the old man, then tries to play a VCR in Berjes's television. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. So, he grumbles and leaves/ |
Jamie and Bella celebrate their 30th (or maybe 31st?) wedding anniversary.
They're both dead now. |
"Hey, can I get another grandkid?" No. "Please? I won't tell anyone." It requires telling someone. No. "OH, COME ON! WHY NOT?" You have like, ten grandkids running around. Isn't that enough? "NO!" Now that I think about it, I think your daughter Natalie is pregnant. There, you have a grandkid. "SHE'S A SLUT, SHE PROBABLY DOESN'T KNOW WHO THE DAD IS! IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME!" Shut up and go feed Zhivago. "Fine." |
I have more elders to show, some of them have been elders for quite a long time now.
Michael Herz, who is not as harsh as he looks He met his LTW and became Head of SCIA several simdays before he became an elder. He´s also rich, happily married, has two successfull children and a cute dog, so I guess life for him is pretty good right now. Benjamin Falck, he wants to see three of his children graduate from college and I´m pretty sure he will live long enough for that. Two of the kids will graduate next day and the third in 5 simdays. His family is the poorest one in the ´hood, but that doesn´t really concern Benjamin - he´s got a big family and that´s what matters to him. Richard Kroon, he could have aged up happy as he met his LTW and became a City Planner. But his son, Sebastian, died just the day before Richard´s birthday, so he decided to not have a party and just invited all his family members for his transition. Mathias Lieb, another sim who reached his LTW well before his birthday. He works as a Celebrity chef and writes novels in his freetime. To be honest he´s one of my least favorite sims and my focus is more on his wife, Louisa who still works hard trying to reach her LTW. |
An eventful evening with the Elberts Elders
Savana and her Husband Eddie live a fairly normal life. He's a retired CEO of Simspot Inc. and she used to work for the infamous all-female crime syndicate the 'Misguided Mistresses.' They have no children together but she has two daughters from a previous marriage all grown up and living on their own and he has two sons and a daughter, same deal. Now in their silver years, life has gotten a bit monotonous.

Christian Love and Jennifer Jacobs-Love
*ignore Jennifer's teeth* Jennifer was a single mother for almost all of her life. She had two daughters, Josie and Kate, who are now adults with their own families. Christian came into the equation when the girls were teenagers, and was not liked by either of them. Over time he was able to win over their affection with gifts of clothes and expensive perfume, luxuries which Jennifer was unable to provide. Christian and Jennifer were together for five years (five sim days) before Jennifer suffered a miscarriage. Their relationship strained and they broke up for a long time. It was only in their twilight years that they rekindled their romance and finally got married. They died happy and together. |
Mary Munny can't escape the slack-jawed admiration of her fans even at home. It wouldn't be accurate to say that it's getting stale, but - it does leave her unsatisfied. Besides, the yard boy they sent does not get her motor running at all! Red Onions prefers chess, but makes time to play anything his granddaughter Pearl wants him to. Kitty Hawkins, on her second vacation to Twikki Island! Who would have ever thought? Sue Casa sits in the break room of her husband Esteban's store, Casa de los Widgets, and listens to him talking about expanding the stock to include video games. He's happier than he's ever been, puttering around the store, but she mostly agrees to help out during the hours her daughter-in-law Lily's beauty store is closed, as a device to give her son some privacy in order to get on with the business of making her grandchildren. |
Cassini Drone plays a game of pool with his mother-in-law Ellison Howe.
Mrs. Crumplebottom knits furiously. A super-old picture of Olive and her favorite grandchild Grimhild. I'm not sure what it is about Grimhild, but Olive has loved her best since the moment she first set eyes on her. |

These are my new sims Jewel and Morty, they just moved into their house, and are having dessert with the new neighbors.
|
Olive was up early, buying a dress, picking up buffet food at the market, mopping puddles, and generally helping her son get ready to host his first party. Now everything's going well (though she was surprised that Beaker woman didn't want to talk about esoteric poisons with her), she feels tired, and goes out to the graveyard to sit in her favorite seat, surrounded by her own little party of - friends. The sun is warm and bright on her face. She hasn't talked to Necros about his father yet, but he'll be in a good mood tonight. After the party would be a good time. But for now, it's nice to sit here and bask. When she hears the music, she leaps to her feet. "Darling! Have you come to see Necros? He'll be so pleased." "I doubt it. It's time, darling." "What, already? I mean - after so long - but - I haven't spoken to Necros yet, haven't explained - " "Do you really think he wants to know? Look at him. Mixing drinks, matchmaking - he's not like us any more than he's like them. He's only like himself." Olive sighs. She knows it's true. Necros - no, Nervous freaks out over having to kill bugs. "I'm sorry. He looks so much like you, I had hoped - are you terribly disappointed?" "Disappointed? To have a son strong enough to withstand everything the old Drs. Beaker threw at him? No, not a bit. And I'm looking forward to having you where you belong at last." He hands her a drink. "Here. It's my own recipe. A hemlock julep. Now, come along. I have so much to show you..." |
Chloe and Gilbert both aged up to elders. Even though their kids are now doing their own bit of sexual exploration, the couple have not refrained from their own romance (to Sebastien's dismay). Gilby grew up appropriately into a polo shirt and khakis. He isn't going to retire just yet. That LTW isn't going to fulfill itself. Chloe stripped her hair of it's obnoxious red dye, and has now grayed out quite much. She hasn't worked a real job a day in her life, and she plans to keep it that way. |
Dora Ottomas
|
I think I speak for everyone when I say that Aegagropilon has set a new benchmark for Dora Ottomas makeovers. If there were a contest, she'd win it.
Kitty Hawkins entertains my relatively boring Peter Ottomas at his son Ted's graduation party. Only Kitty can make a joke about stethoscopes and gold bricks salacious. Fortunately Ted, her future son-in-law, is not easily embarrassed. Mary Munny's grandson Frank is a bad influence on her. That gardener doesn't come often enough to keep up with all this. Sure is pretty, though. She's wrapped the latest album. Her son thinks the title "Goodby, All You Beautiful Boys" is too sad; but she knows how old she is. Every album could be the last album, the final cut of her life. So much she could never say, could never even think coherently, still has to fit into the music. When there's no other audience, she sings for her Frank. He's very close now, she knows it. Has she done enough - seen enough - sung enough - lived enough for both of them? (Waaah! I don't want Mary to die and that space at the end of the bar is really, really short! But her character arc is wrapped, like the album, and I can't justify another hit of elixir.) |
Aegagropilon Gee she looks nice.
