Rabid 30th Aug 2009 7:31 PM

Whenever I get ready to go out, my family always asks me why I get dressed to the nines just to run errands. I always say that you never know who you'll see, and when I went to Barnes & Noble today, I saw the guy I like! It was good to see him, but the "in your face" was even better .

ETA: Ugh, my mom ruined it for me! I told her and she said, "Why didn't you ask him what he was doing? Just 'hi, how are you?' is a little cold." Now I'm all worried that he thought I seemed disinterested, but he was about to leave and I didn't want to seem too eager...

candiiee 30th Aug 2009 9:05 PM

I had curry for tea. <3

desimonkey442 30th Aug 2009 9:09 PM

Rabid- If asking how someone is makes you cold then I'm freaking frigid because I ask people that all the time. I always thought it was a polite way to greet someone. Personally I always feel really weird asking someone what are you doing.

As for what made my day, it was a nice hot shower.

Rabid 30th Aug 2009 9:13 PM

I think she meant that I should have been more conversational and said more than just "how are you." Maybe he would have been receptive to a more in-depth conversation, but I didn't want to seem too earnest, and we were both busy. I agree that "what are you doing" is a strange thing to say, and I would have felt out of place saying it. Why must boys be so damned unreadable ?

That's funny because guys say the same thing about girls. We're the ones with all of the "mystique" and "cool" according to just about every guy I know. And the one guy friend I have who thinks he's got girls figured out, is waaaay out in left field...go figure. I don't have the heart to tell him that a girl will *let* him think he's smooth if she thinks he's cute, but we know what guys like him are about and he's not pulling the wool over any girl's eyes, unless she's absurdly clueless.

lethifold 1st Sep 2009 12:17 AM

Mum told me that we're going to Melbourne for a week in about a month's time. I'm so excited. Melbourne is my absolute favourite city I've ever visited, and the shopping is fantastic.

IrishGrace 1st Sep 2009 2:28 AM

Today hasn't been the greatest, with me fighting a migraine and a pulled muscle at the same time, but what made my day was eating the mango sorbet my husband noticed and picked up on his own last night at Wal-mart. Yum!

LOL! The part when he rips his pants is the best blooper EVER, second only to trying to open the window. He does have a nice ass, but nowhere near as nice as my English teacher's (he's a total babe). There are glowing comments written about it in the stalls of every girls' bathroom in the school.

My day has yet to be made. Having a cold is no fun.

lethifold 7th Sep 2009 10:29 AM

1) I quit my job after much procrastinating about doing so.
2) I spent lunch time cuddled up next to a guy and a heater and being ridiculously warm and happy (:

desimonkey442 7th Sep 2009 10:11 PM

1) Got my awesome homecoming dress
2) Got 3 new books at barnes and noble

Rabid 7th Sep 2009 11:08 PM

My interview subjects actually submitted their responses in a timely manner. I'm so used to them being catastrophically late that this makes me absolutely giddy.

Dreamydre 7th Sep 2009 11:20 PM

We saw Miley Cyrus in West Hollywood today.

Rabid 9th Sep 2009 1:43 AM

Writing the greatest column of my journalism career. The entire staff thinks that it's fabulous, and while I think that it may sail over the heads of readers who don't care about classic literature, I know that it's damned good, and that's all that matters to me.

We were discussing that in the videos thread. All of the swearing gives me a bit of secondhand embarrassment (I like to imagine him as the consummate gentleman ), but he's hilarious; if he hosted SNL, it would make my year. I love the part when he's talking to his, uh... male anatomy .

NightmareCandle 9th Sep 2009 1:51 AM

Hmm, Jensen or Zachary? In my opinion Jensen is so much hotter!

The fact that after FOUR HOURS me and my friend got through this freakishly hard area on a game we play. FOUR HOURS. It took three tries at the last bit, and that was only because on the last try, only 2 enemies were there. Rather than four. 0_o We still can't figure out why.

I've read that he's gay in a few gossip rags, but beyond hoping that he's straight so that we ZQ lovers have a teeny tiny chance, I couldn't care less. He is more than entitled to his privacy, and he's a beautiful man and a talented actor regardless of his sexual orientation.

My day was made when we psychoanalyzed one another in newspaper. It was so fun, and much to my amusement, my classmates have me all figured out and vice versa .

Congrats! I hope you get it.

I just woke up, so, nothing yet.

Dreamydre 11th Sep 2009 4:53 AM

Am I the only one who didn't know Izzies name on Greys was Isabelle? Lol, hmm..interesting much?

But anyway my sister is having a boy. I swear its been awhile since someone in the family has had a boy My mom has 4 daughters, my aunt (her sister) has two daughters. My dad has 2 sisters and no brothers. And my mom and my soon-to-be stepdad are thinking of adoption, I want them to adopt a Korean baby like Katherine Heigl lol. Korean babies are so adorable. But yeah, speaking of babies what is up with Nicole Richie? Her poor son is going to have a tough time finding a job when he grows up. Seriously, Sparrow James Midnight Madden? Was she that doped up with drugs?

lethifold 11th Sep 2009 8:02 AM

Has your sister chosen a name?

What made my day was the fact that it is amazingly gorgeous weather and that it is Friday AND that I had a hella awesome English lesson in which we had a class tea party. I love my teacher XD

Rabid 11th Sep 2009 11:16 PM

This.

*flails in excitement for season four of Heroes*

Oh, Sylar, you sure know how to rock a suit...

Dreamy, you didn't know that Izzie's real name is Isobel Stevens? Where have you been for the last five years of Grey's Anatomy ? And congratulations to your sister!

Dreamydre 12th Sep 2009 2:52 AM

In La La Land I guess I've watched Greys for how long now? And I'm just now realizing her name is Isobel.

PixCii nope no names to date, if it was a girl I wanted her middle name to be Adriana, lol.

Rabid 12th Sep 2009 2:56 AM

The rerun of the Izzie/Alex wedding scene was on last night, and I had to chuckle when the priest referred to Izzie as Isobel Katherine Stevens. That must have been a hint of irony included by the show's writers, seeing as Izzie is played by Katherine Heigl .

Speaking of which, did you see that Katherine Heigl and her husband are adopting a baby from Korea? I commend them for it, but I can't help but imagine how pretty their daughter would be if they had a biological child...

Dreamydre 12th Sep 2009 3:03 AM

I dunno, Josh Kelly isn't all that hot but hopefully the baby would resemble Katherine more. Yeah I saw that episode last night that's when I realized her name was Isobel I think adopting a baby is great too though, her parents adopted her older sister from Korea so guess thats why she's doing it.

Dreamydre 12th Sep 2009 3:04 AM

I wanna adopt an African baby from the poorest part of Africa, those poor kids are starving and I'd be happy to give a few of them a home!!

meggie272 12th Sep 2009 11:01 AM

I got a nice positive review on my story on fanfiction.net

lethifold 12th Sep 2009 11:12 AM

desimonkey442 13th Sep 2009 9:24 AM

1.) My mom told my brother and his gf they need to move out by next summer
2.) The giant smile this special needs boy got on his face when my friends and I danced with him at homecoming. It was so sweet

lethifold 13th Sep 2009 10:53 AM

The weather today was almost perfect. It was warm, blue skies and the breeze was also warm. The only thing that would have made it better if it was slightly warmer.

I've kind of suspected it for ages, but it's nice to have it confirmed that someone likes you.

zauberlinda12 15th Sep 2009 6:05 PM

What made my day today was that I TOOK THE DAY OFF!!! I slept as late as I wanted, watched daytime TV (something I never get to do) and was basically in heaven.

stygia2002 15th Sep 2009 6:41 PM

Getting up and having my hall light and smoke detector installed made my day...they were hanging from the ceiling by wires until last night (remodelling takes forever, especially when it comes to tying up loose ends!)...but it's still fairly early in the day.

Rabid 15th Sep 2009 9:06 PM

My Trekkie friend changing a headline on my page from "The Sparknotes Experiment" to "The Starship Enterprise." Apparently she did that on Friday and it's taken the entire newspaper staff since then to notice that the headline wasn't what it was supposed to be .

Hehe, Rabid, that's quite funny

"Bones" season five premiers tonight Ha! We Canadians get it a day ahead of the States, take that! :P

I'm just thankful that we noticed before going to print. How embarrassing would that be ? It's bad enough that she already has her desk in our publications room bedecked in Star Trek paraphernelia.

I bought a gorgeous little black dress, and what's even better is knowing that I'll get more than adequate use out of it- I have two weddings in the next few months (not including my sister's, but I have a bridesmaid dress for that) to wear it to, and with black tights, high heels, and a blouse beneath it, I could easily wear it to school. It's a pencil dress with pleats at the neckline and a skinny black belt.

Rabid 17th Sep 2009 9:07 PM

I got a perfect score on my factor label quiz in physics. I worked so hard to fully understand factor label that it's quite gratifying to have done well.

Daisie 17th Sep 2009 11:13 PM

Nice one, Rabid! We did factor label in chemistry the first week or so of school.

I got a 99 on the ridiculous eight-question English test we took last week that I'd been fretting over. Ahh, relief.

Rabid 17th Sep 2009 11:40 PM

Congrats to you too, Daisie! Don't you just hate quizzes and tests that have so few questions that their point values are ridiculously high? I'd rather take a test with an abundance of questions than take one with a simple few- missing just one is far more detrimental, in that case.

Daisie 17th Sep 2009 11:50 PM

Yes, yes, yes! And this one was particularly bad because several questions requiring one-sentence answers (so either you're right or you're wrong) were weighted at a completely unreasonable 15 points. Seriously, an 85 for one missed question?

Dreamydre 18th Sep 2009 3:52 AM

Today was a good day, I spent time with my mom and we had a long discussion about a lot of things we've never talked about before but should have. Then spent mother/daughter time at the mall and lunch at the Koi in West Hollywood.

The concert was amazing. It was kind of a private thing where everyone knows each other and both the athmosphere and the music were great. I was with 2 really close friends and had a deeper conversation than ever before. For some time I've taken friendship for granted, but now I can appreciate the real value of it. I stop now because I'm getting sentimental
