I am making a new hood a bit like my old island one where the sims are like a self sufficient community, but I am giving them tiny cute houses and modern amenities. Just finished making over the mostly 1 by 3 lots with cc to be under 20K. 1 will farm, 1 will fish, 1 will sew, 1 will make toys, 1 will weave furniture and the last one I'm not sure yet, probably run a general store for items not covered like toddler items.

Are you giving up Coral Bay?

Geoff Rutherford Hart threw his off-to-college party on a Saturday. Most of his friends are older, so it was very much a college rather than a teen party. He even got Donna Lothario, who he befriended hanging out at 88 during the Strangetown leg of the challenge (don't ask me what she was doing there; maybe she did a stint at the military hospital), to show up. Alas, Rhett went in to work and the party broke up as he returned, so there went that chance to connect with a potential babymama other than Darrell. Who he wants to fall in love with now. He's in real danger of aspiration failure if he doesn't get laid soon. I sent him out walking around the Pleasantview community lots, but he didn't see any locals - just his stepmother (with whom he has two bolts and doesn't really understand why we're not doing that), one of his son Silver's girlfriends (triple bolts but we're not doing that either!), and three old lovers. Gabby at least filled his want to slow dance. Ashley Pitts walked up and kissed him even though they've been out of love for ages, ever since she helped his brother-in-law cheat on his sister. And Penny hugged him, chatted a bit, and went to browse outfits. So he came home.
Geoff was one of four teens going to college at the same time, though not in the same campus. His bitter enemy Gabriel Newson threw his off-to-college party on the day his brother Sage returned from college, and the plan was to segue from off-to-college to wedding party; but Sage's fiance Moses Adams had landed a job and needed to go in to it; and he returned with the flu! I had to send him straight upstairs to rest and feed him comfort soup, and by the time I got a health notice it was too late for the wedding. So bummer. I sent Justine Cleveland to college from the neighborhood screen because she's Geoff's cousin and Gabriel has dated her, but I've never played her household seriously. Justine and Gabriel joined Gabriel's sister Galia in a dorm on LFT and they went shopping together, but Justine is hyped to join a sorority, and honestly it's Gabriel's job to rescue Tri-Fruhm, which has only two members now Sage has moved out. Harding Hart also had a good off-to-college party and is safely moved in with his big brother Cole, though he may join his other big brother Leon at Tri-Var in the near future. He grew up into something tolerable so I haven't given him any significant playtime yet. Geoff moved in with his brother Trent and they immediately packed up their stuff in inventory and moved into a modified Victorian Value, which they were able to furnish tolerably well with their combined grant money and the stuff in their inventories. Trent had some sweet date rewards, so they've got a piano, pinball machine, and electrodance sphere in addition to mundane items like a table and chairs. I even got them a decent stove; and Geoff, who has a silver toy making badge, brought a sample of his product and his bench, plus both boys have maxed creativity, so they can make money on the fly in between grant windfalls. The first thing Geoff did was invite household on Hallie Capp, and Trent invited Oresha-Hoh-Var over. Hallie Capp dated Trent in high school, but between his leaving for college and hers, she and Geoff saw a lot of each other - Hallie is best friends with their sister Angel and came over almost every day. Then when she arrived at college, she kept rolling wants for Geoff to come to school, and she and Trent did nothing about their triple bolts. Geoff, for his part, has wanted to call Hallie every single day since she left. The very first thing that happened when her household walked onto the lot was walk up to Geoff and give him a romantic kiss - which honestly didn't surprise me at all. He then tried to teach her to catch a football - they're both family, and they both know this is happening, but apparently now that they've got red hearts they aren't in a tearing hurry about it. We'll see how Geoff's high school girlfriend Benedicta Monty feels about this when she arrives... Trent and Geoff both had to leave for class in the middle of the day, which broke up the gathering, so in the afternoon they invited Tri-Var and the other Hart household, plus Ripley came to kick Trent's trash can and stayed to hang out. It was all very amicable and very collegiate. Though Ripley and Harding are both Romance and Ripley has dated Trent and Leon and Harding at various times, no drama arose. No doubt this will be corrected in the near future. |
Apparently the Goth ladies really like Strangetown men. Cassie got married to Ajay Loner and lives with him in Strangetown since the early days of the Uberhood. During this round Bella is all alone in the Goth Manor since Mortimer died and Alexander went to university, so she just dated a bit and focused on work until she spun up the want to get engaged... to General Grunt. They have THREE bolts.

I finallllly finished my college rotation. It wasn't as dramatic as I thought it'd be.
Sophia and Georgina never once fought like I thought they would. I guess Georgina doesn't care about Ryan and Sophia being together now that she's set her claws on Anthony Landgraab. They've even made things official now. ![]() Ryan Harris graduated and went back to Bluewater Village. Sophia Milad moved out of the Plaza Dormitory and into the prestigious Landgraab Dormitory to focus more on her studies. Georgina Wrightley and Alan Reyes stayed the Plaza and will be awaiting Melissa and Mariah Landgraab. I just hope Alan doesn't get Melissa pregnant again....This time they may not be so 'lucky' as to give it up for adoption. ![]() |
Gavigan (Isaiah and Tina Traveller Gavigan): After being in the media business all her life, Tina decided to write a novel herself. She wasn't quite sure what to write about, but it ended up being a romantic story about a girl who must choose between a poor man who loves her or a rich man who can give her material things. The girl chooses the rich man even though he is unfaithful. The story goes on about his various affairs and their stormy marriage. Wait - that's the story of Tina's life! So, even though she sold it as fiction, it was really more of an autobiography. Isaiah wasn't happy about the story and acted the way he normally did when upset. He invited over an old flame and they ended up in the hot tub. Immanuel, his son, caught him and had a predictable reaction:
Tina also saw him, but instead of running out and making a scene she stayed quiet. The woman stayed over for dinner and Tina acted like everything was normal. Immanuel started to tell her, but she stopped him before he could get it out. Later, after everyone left, she calmly told Isaiah to sleep on the couch. Then she went up to the patio and thought about things. Down below, she saw that Isaiah was swimming in the pool. This gave her an idea. The next morning, the kids were shocked to find Isaiah like this: By the time the police got there, the pool ladder was back where it had always been. The neighbors reported no arguments and the dinner guest reported that Tina and Isaiah were getting along fine the night before. They chalked it up to an accidental drowning and dropped the case. Immanuel suspects, but doesn't have the courage to ask. This is how Tina got away with murder and got rid of her cheating spouse for good (although I imagine his ghost will be plenty angry). |

I only played a few families today.
Adeline Gavigan welcomed in Noah Gavigan. He's the spitting image of his father, Isiah. I'm hoping he'll have Adeline button nose when he grows up. Adeline, being a lonely pleasure Sim living apart from her husband, I decided to just randomly indulge in whatever appeared in her wants pannel. Poor Noah was ignored for most of the day due to his mother bouncing on the sofa and woohooing with the neighbours. In the Indie household, Etsu went off to university and the triplets grew up. They're adorable! The new house is big enough, but the staircase area often gets crouded. It'll do for now though. Vivian and Mitch tried for more babies - but luckily weren't successful. Vivian really wants one more before elderhood. Speaking of babies, over in the Biggs / Phoenix / Whippler / Traveller household, the twins grew up. Chaz and Marla are siblings in my game because that's what it said on the wiki, so she let Chaz and his heavily pregnant girlfriend Tina move in a few rotations ago. They weren't expecting twins and now the house is quite cramped especially now they (Whitney and Warren Whippler) became toddlers. Jimmy and Marla have been teaching them to walk and talk. Tina and Chaz have had little interest in their children and instead have decided that they're going to travel the world while Marla and Jimmy raise their twins - this has of course out a hold on Marla and Jimmy trying for a baby themselves. There's so many toddlers and babies in Belladonna at the moment. Trina Dalton gave birth to little Bella-Donna Dalton. Shs just rolled a want to get married and a fear of being old and never married. Armand Debateau is the child's father, and he also impregnated her again (along with his Fiance Dina Cliente-DeBateau). The sad thing is, she's kind of just a baby machine because he decided he wanted 10 children before becoming an elder. Thanks to the quads, he's at 8 right now, plus the two on the way which are both due the day he becomes an elder. He went a little insane after the divorce. I've worked out that in Belladonna alone, there are 22 toddlers (mostly multiples), 4 babies and 6 pregnancies. There must be something in the water. |

Well 'seconds' hoods as I call them are never fancy. Sometimes I might just play a challenge in one. I use to make a hood and play the Toddler Mania challenge when I got bored of my main hood and then delete it. Haven't done that in awhile. I did place each 1 by 2 lot into the house bin so I can reuse them ready to go in Coral Bay. |
Gilbert Jacquet and his wife Barb started the summer by working towards filling a want that Denise had for another grandchild (and Gilbert had a want for a baby, but that was less important - he does what his mom wants). The next morning, Barb went to her business job feeling a bit nauseous, and Gilbert and Denise went to the bakery. They sold a few pies and cakes, and then Gilbert rolled a want to woohoo five sims. When they got home, Denise paid the nanny and started teaching Yvonne a nursery rhyme while Gilbert called a neighbour he finds attractive. He had a date at the house with her, but Barb came home just as they were beginning to woohoo - odd that sims don't always react to other sims kissing in front of them, but can detect cheating woohoo from the other side of a lot. Barb was heartbroken and furious - she stormed in, slapped Gilbert, immediately had the first pregnancy pop, and then burst into tears thinking about being cheated on. Gilbert was angry about the slap, but he knew he'd hurt Barb more deeply. He started apologizing and trying to do nice things for her, but she was angry with him for a few days and he napped on the couch a lot. By the time their third child, Simone, was born they were best friends again, but Barb was still angry - and Gilbert rerolled a want to woohoo five sims. On the last day of summer he called another sim for a date, but this time made sure it was earlier in the day and he said goodbye to her before Barb got home from work. Gilbert is a very nice sim and he loves Barb, but he does not really want to be in a committed relationship - to me, his wants suggest he would like to sabotage it so that she ends the relationship and he doesn't have to. However, she loves him and despite being furious with Gilbert, Barb treated him well all week - but she's also unaware of how often he flirts with other sims. Four of the sims he's gotten crushes on were relationships that started when I was playing other sims and he was just in the background on a community lot. When I started playing the Jacquet house, I was going to have him be fairly faithful to his wife until Denise died, but when he started giving townies their first kiss I figured his story was going a different direction. I'm just not sure how long he's going to try hiding affairs.

In my regular Maxis Plesantview (I have three: the main, the megahood and the genderbent uberhood) I have Dina Caliente married to Malcolm Langraab. They have twins Mimi and Dudely (props to those that know those names) and he has one boy, Malcolm Jr from his ex Brandi and Dina has a son with Alexander Goth. Well, I'm planning to have her cheat with Don and get caught, (turnabout is fair play because Malcolm cheated on Brandi with Dina) and move in with Don and get preg with Don's baby.
Weeeellll, I just found out my Risky Whoohoo works! I had the happily-for-now-married-couple partake in coitus and yep, Dina is pregnant again. Hooray for unexpected things happening! |
Aiden moved in with his brother Don at University. After a short bit of skilling for Aiden I looked up some matches on the crystal ball for him and just had him sit and hang out with them.
First semester finished for Aiden and he had a choice between Physics and Biology as his major. A coin toss gave him Physics (though I'm not quite sure how either helps him run a business). I had them both invite over a few potential romances and they seemed to strike it off with a couple -- Laverne Bush for Don and Patricia Bruce for Aiden. Next morning all seemed well until the cafeteria worker set herself on fire, and I found out there was no sprinkler system (that was quickly resolved after the fire brigade turned up and the fire was extinguished). Don passed his last semester with a B, giving him a 3.0GPA. Having graduated, I moved both Don and Aiden into a rental home. Don did try and woohoo with his uncle's partner (I doubled checked and they're not married); I hurriedly shuffled her off the lot and directed Don's attention to his potential girlfriend. They ended up woohooing, and in what seems to be a pattern with university sims she got pregnant. Failed her abortion roll, succeeded on her adoption roll, so there's going to be another baby in the adoption centre. ...Better make that at least two. She's carrying natural twins. I finished up the rotation, with Aiden getting a C+ for his junior year and Don moving back to Cresdale. He'll be moving into a new house once I'm done with the university rotation. I then moved in Laverne to a small lot to give birth where she had two boys, Dillon with brown hair, light skin, and bright green eyes; and Otto with black hair, freckled skin, and the same green eyes. (That makes three babies in the adoption house, all the same age.) -- Next up was Caitlynn and Andrew Marshalls, and their (pseudo) cousin Gigi. Apparently Gigi (as a secondary Romance sim) is hot stuff as a moment after she walked through the front door of the dorms three men swooned over her. Two of them were dormies, and Gigi rolled the want to flirt with Forrest. She managed to snag Forrest for a date the following day -- they managed to get it to a dream date, with a little post-date woohoo thrown in for good measure. She rolled up the want to woohoo with three sims the next day, and I managed to snag another dormie (Alton Short) to woohoo with. That got followed the next day by a date with him, and a rolling of some interesting wants/fears by him: Wants: Get Engaged to Gigi; Have 2 Loves Fears: Get Engaged to Gigi; Get Rejected for Engagement by Gigi I dithered and debated, and in the end got the two of them engaged. She did roll up the want for a third first date, so I sneakily invited over a third of her interests, Darin Davidson. To my surprise, none of the date-induced woohoos resulted in a pregnancy. Even engaged, though, Gigi could stand in the living room and trade off flirts between Alton and Forrest and neither got jealous. Both Caitlynn and Andrew invited over their partners for a quick woohoo, and Astrid (Andrew's lover) managed to get hit by risky woohoo again. That means starting off that household on the next rotation with another baby incoming. Caitlynn finished her last semester with a C, graduating with a 2.5GPA; Andrew finished his last semester with a B+, graduating with a 3.3GPA. I'll be moving them in together, moving in Astrid, then seeing where to go from there. With them graduated, it was just Gigi for her last year of the rotation. I may have jumped the gun a little getting her engaged as she turned out to have three bolts with Benny Henry, the Llama mascot. To my surprise, Gigi finished up the rotation with an A+ in her Junior year. I moved in her brother Nick and cousin Garth once the rotation was done. |
Well, the Greeks have all had a look at the new students. Ripley Grunt has dated Harding Hart and introduced him to the delights of woohoo. Randy Capp has thrown his graduation party and moved back into Capp Manor, leaving his sister Hallie and his fiancee Judy McDaniel sharing the house, and Hallie with a want to get engaged to Geoff Rutherford Hart. Randy was barely out the door and Judy at class when Hallie invited him over. Not a date; just a chance for a much-needed private conversation. Since there's this whole matter of her triple-bolting his big brother Trent that she dated in high school, and him having dated a Monty all through high school, himself.
Back at Geoff and Trent's shared residence, Geoff proceeded to give himself a makeover to better meet Hallie's needs. She has a turn-on for facial hair and somehow I never took him to the mirror to get him any while he was a teen - probably because, with the curlytop hairstyle he's had since infancy, he looked too natural without it. Being a Hart, he slightly overdid things and now looks slightly sleazy, but hey, he's his father's son, Family aspiration and all. He also drank his Renu-U-Portachug so he'd be turned on by brown hair rather than black. He had evening classes and Trent had afternoon ones, so he worked at his toymaking station and sold a bunch of firetrucks to pad their bank account until Trent stopped playing with the electro-dance sphere Davine Newson gave him for a date reward, and headed off to class. Trent had barely left the lot when Geoff was on the phone to Hallie, arranging to meet her at the Just-Off-Campus Diner. Why tempt fate and her getting distracted by his brother, after all? Alas, it was a stormy day. Lightning had already struck two midbiscus trees, and the rain had safely put them out - but as he was on the phone, the birch tree on the lot was struck just as the rain was ending! He was outside panicking when the cab drew up, and the fire was clearly too big for him to put out on his own, so I had to have him call the fire department, and I'd already gotten one "you don't want to stand Hallie up" notice by the time the tree was reduced to a pile of ash and I could get Geoff into the taxi - reeking of smoke and with his other motives at half-mast. Not a promising start to a date! The date went pretty well, regardless, all things considered. They sat to eat a little sooner than I normally would, but Hallie was rolling romantic wants for him and holding her nose at his stink at the same time. So he gave in and asked her back to his place, where he showered and she played pinball. He hurried the shower and went straight to his bedroom, calling her up, just in time for Trent to see her strutting happily up the stairs through the window as he returned from class. I left him to his own devices, and he tactfully went back to the dance sphere. Though Hallie would have liked to have a ring on her finger first, she didn't let that stop her from rolling woohoo wants. After all, marriage is a very serious business in the GS Uberhood, where divorce is illegal - taking a test drive is only sensible. They woke up when Geoff had to go to class, and Hallie came outside in her underwear to try out the dance sphere herself. So Trent went in to make dinner - let no one say he is not a considerate brother and ex-boyfriend! He started a kitchen fire. It was just that sort of day. After class, Hallie and Geoff hung around (both still in their undies) canoodling, so Trent took himself out to the Campus Lounge to jam and make some more money and not brood over his life. Well, the jamming and making money parts worked okay. He was getting ready to go home when his great love Tammy Ottomas walked by, and he ran over and greeted her with a kiss, but she shrugged and walked on. Geoff's sure he's going to like college. Trent's bracing himself for a sucky junior year. The player is trying to decide whether to move Hallie in with the Hart boys (Drama!) or Geoff in with Hallie and Judy (easier first-person documentation). |
Quite a lot has happened in Lockridge.
Melanie Dawson and Brittany Wendland got married and became the proud parents - ahem, owners - to a puppy called Suzi. Despite Melanie being the family sim and Brittany being a knowledge sim, Brittany was the first to roll a want to adopt a baby. Thanks to the money she brought with her when she moved in and money Melanie made from promotions, they could afford to expand their tiny house to fit a small room and an additional toilet space (it's literally one tile wide) in preparation for their (hopefully) upcoming adoption. It took them a round to actually adopt though, since they didn't have enough money and had to save up. Brittany's job in the culinary career didn't add much to their income (thank goodness for Melanie's job as a city council member) to Suzi got a job after she'd grown up into an adult dog. Eventually the stars aligned and they adopted a baby girl whom they named Naomi (who has since grown up into a toddler). Meanwhile across the road, Orlando and Serinda Baltimore have their hands full. Their eldest daughter, Eleanore, has grown up into a child. Serinda found herself pregnant for the second time following a risky woohoo (what are the odds?) and a few days later their second daughter Leighton was born. While Eleanore inherited her mom's skin color, Leighton is a copy of Orlando. Other than the recent addition to the household, the Baltimores kinda keep on truckin', I guess. Serinda still works as a SimJazzer Instructor and Orlando works as a Party DJ. They're not rich by any means but they get by and Serinda has started to settle into her new routine as a mom - it's been quite a struggle for her to adapt to domesticity due to the fact that she's a romance sim. Unfortunately, Lockridge experienced their first death as Gertrude Sanford collapsed after coming home from work (she didn't have a job originally, but her good reputation preceeded her and a mutual friend of hers and Serinda offered her a job as a SimJazzer Instructor. She gave it a shot despite having 0 active personality points; hopefully it didn't cause a strain on her heart ![]() ![]() The Wilkinson house has become a lot more crowded since the last round! Alexandra got engaged to Leo Wilkie and he moved in with the family soon thereafter. Taylor, who aged up to a teen in the first day of the second rotation, and him get along really well; Alexandra was a bit worried about how they'd get along seeing as Taylor appeared to be more favorable to her other suitor, but her worries have proved to be unjustified. There must be something in the water in Lockridge when it comes to risky woohoo. After Serinda Baltimore's two unplanned pregnancies, it was time for Alexandra to be bitten by the good ol' risky woohoo bug. On the last day of the rotation, she gave birth to a son, whom they named Nick. The Grim reaper has it out for the elders of Lockridge. In the Lavillenie household, Cynthia passed away, only a day after the birth of her 4th grandchild Gabrielle. It totally slipped my mind that Portia and Samuel had tried for a baby in the first rotation so I was a bit surprised to find her rushing to the toilet on the first day of the second rotation. There was obviously an explanation for it, and their second daughter was born three days later. She looks just like her brothers Bastian and Trent - Stacy is the only child who inherited Samuel's skin tone. The aforementioned twin brothers aged up to teens at the beginning of the rotation and Stacy followed suit towards the end of the week, around the same time as Gabrielle had her birthday and become a toddler. Bastian had a crush on Taylor Wilkinson from day one and now that they were both teenagers, he worked up the courage to invite her over to test the waters and see how she felt about him. Luckily she felt the same way so after some flirting and an awkward yet adorable first kiss together, they're now going steady. Samuel hasn't earned a promotion in ages as he hasn't rolled the want to gain any skill points in creativity. With college right around the corner (both Bastian and Stacy have LTWs that would require them to attend college), Portia is starting to feel the strain of their economy, so as soon as Gabrielle has aged up, she's going to be looking for a job to help out. |
I am making a larger, new version of Kipling - the initial one was too small and I got tired of going into the business hood all the time. I also have not played them for a while, so there wasn't much progress. This time I have got rid of all the townies, and there are no townies in my isolated, desolated military hood - only 20 Sims. Besides the military Sims, there are a doctor, a scientist, architect, journalist and a couple of Sims in the culinary career (since there is a diner and a bar). The previous hood has given me some better ideas, but I am backing that one up too, just in case. Eventually, as time goes by, the hood should grow with the population. Some CAS sims may be added later (a teacher, when the next generation goes to school, and shops, when there are Sims ready to run their own businesses, and so on. No shops yet, the military "provides" the food and clothing for now

The last household on the university rotation was the Lydhurst-Kraemer family, with Scott Lyndhurst, his wife Madeline, and their twins Katie and Mike. As I'd only readjusted the multiple birth odds this rotation, I hadn't quite realised that as they were both Family sims, their odds of future multiples would be reasonably high.
Thankfully they managed to get through the last few years of university without another accidental pregnancy. Scott finished his last year with a B, graduating with a 3.2GPA; Madeline was a year behind, finishing her last year with an A+ (after she rolled the want to get on the Dean's list for her final semester), graduating with a 3.3GPA. I moved them into an apartment block in Springvale, next to the Lawrences and Marshalls (3) household. Both Katie and Mike grew up well on the Sunday, and I think Katie has Scott's nose while Mike has Madeline's. While the twins were growing up, Scott and Madeline had snuck off for a quick woohoo which resulted in pregnancy. The odds of having a singleton are only 20%, so I was pretty much expecting twins -- and come 4PM, I was right. Madeline had two boys, Justin with red hair (yes!), brown eyes, and a light blushy skintone; Roy also had red hair and brown eyes, and a slightly darker skintone. (For those wondering why I'm so excited to get red-haired babies, I've modded it so that red hair will only turn up if both parents have a red-haired gene. Madeline + Scott; Tony + Stella; and Veronica + Jason are the only sim couples where this can occur this generation.) -- I went to move Andrew and Caitlynn into an apartment, then realised I'd screwed up. Caitlynn was supposed to stay at university to complete a Doctorate -- my mistake, so she can stay in the main 'hood and I can manipulate things around. Andrew found a job in Law Enforcement -- lucky because it was in his wants panel and I couldn't remember at the time what his ideal careers were. Doubly lucky because it was a job that had a work day scheduled for Sunday, the day they moved in. They did still have to borrow some money for things like beds, but Caitlynn got some money in by working on some papers for her Doctorate. 6PM Sunday came quickly, and Andrew invited Astrid Vanderpol to come live with him. I did wonder where Michael (their son) was for a few moments before he walked onto the lot. One good thing about Caitlynn writing to earn money is that is also builds skills, and she woke up on Monday with 2/3rds of her want panel dedicated to skilling (and a fifth to earning $5k). I sped up Astrid's pregnancy, and she gave birth to a boy, Emil, with the same brown hair/alien eyes combo as his brother but a lighter skintone. -- I moved Don into a tiny house (and I mean tiny -- 1 storey on a 1x1 lot that even fully-furnished comes in at under $10k) just so I had a point of reference for him upon starting the next rotation. That done, notes written for the new households, it's time to start the rotation from the beginning. |
McCarthy/Harris II
Not going to lie, I've been wanting the grandparents at the McCarthy household to die soon because they need the extra bedroom! Their daughter Aubrey has the LTW to marry off six children and so far she has the three. Avery and Sean are currently sharing a room but their younger sister, Kaleah, is about to age into a child so its going to be cramped until Cameron and Margaret go to sim heaven. I could turn the office into another bedroom but I they're so close to dying, I don't want to make any permanent changes just yet.
![]() Aubrey and Kody have been trying for baby number 4 but it just hasn't happened yet so they went to the fertility doctor! She got pregnant on their first try but unfortunately miscarried later that night ![]() Cameron and Margaret have officially retired. Cameron technically reached the top and retired from the ballet scene a while ago, but he had picked up an art job afterwards to keep him busy. They love to go hiking and they love working out. (But what sim doesn't?) Kaleah aged into a child and she looks exactly like Kody's late mother, Lilly. She even aged into Lilly's hair as a kid, what are the chances of that! --------------------------------------------------
Ian Harris has also retired. With the recent death of his older brother he decided to just enjoy the few days he has left. His wife, Genevi, makes decent money but unfortunately they have a lot of debt and four kids so their money doesn't last long. Genevi is focusing on paying off her school loans since its smaller but It's very likely that their son will inherit the mortgage debt. The triplets will be separated for the first time in their lives. ![]() Meghan finally has a room all to herself now that Victoria and Ian are gone. The room looks weird now that its not cramped to hell. I think she'll be starting a part-time job soon so she can start saving up for college and for the first future cult of Bluewater Village ![]() |
Katya isn't that how red hair functions anyway? It's recessive to black, brown and blonde hair. So both parents have to either have red hair, carry a recessive for red hair or one parent be a red-head and the other parent carry a recessive red hair. Red-hair shouldn't show up otherwise. I've put quite a bit of work into cultivating red hair in my neighborhood just, because it is so recessive to everything else.
As for my hoods. Well gen 4 of the Savage legacy is in their last year of Uni. Spare, Cynthia Savage managed to get herself into a relationship with Garret Newson with no help from me whatsoever, which considering the fact that she only has one outgoing point its actually quite a feat. They'll be getting married right after graduation. Since Garret is a popularity sim their home will be the new family hub with constant parties and family members coming to visit. I still haven't decided between Carmen or Cookie who will the be the heir. I like both girls, but I've worked them pretty hard on their hobbies, grades, etc and such I think I'll let them slack off their last year and see if I prefer one over the other. Meanwhile in spareville LaShawn (townie) married Bissette's ex' Xavier Bourne. They now have two children, a daughter LaXavier and a son whose name I can't remember. LaShawn is starting to realize that Xavier is lazy, and just wants to mooch off of a womans' money. He tried it with Bissette Savage, thinking the family was so wealthy they had plenty to go around and now he's doing it to her. She doesn't know what to do. Bissette made her mom Odette finally reveal the identity of her other mother before she died and is slowly building a relationship with townie Rizelle. Savage cousins Bissette and Bianca are bestie's. When Bissette didn't go to Uni and Bianca dropped out they started hanging out together forming their own little clan within the family. Now they're having kids at the same time too. Bissette is on her second child with fiance Herbert Goodie (aged him down) and Bianca her first with townie husband whose name I don't remember right now. It's fall in Empteton and its time for the next rotation to start. to build more connections I'm working on clubs and groups to get people socializing. Since the Who and Denton families both have a number of alien offspring they're going to be spending time together so the children can get to know one and other. It also looks like I'm forming a little Dance Mom's Club, this is mothers who are also dancer getting together outside of work. For many of Empteton's teens this year is the final push before Uni, their last chance to earn scholarships and accumulate the skill points necessary for attending Uni, that's two in every skill. With slower skill build in effect there just isn't a point in going otherwise. Lora Adelayo having done her duty by her younger sextuplet siblings (dropping out of school and raising them when her mom took off) will soon be moving in with her fiance townie turned playable Joshua Tang. What she doesn't know is that her life is about to get a whole lot weirder since Joshua is determined to become a necromancer and raise Ramona Who from the dead as well as make a zombie out of Ramona's eldest son Charles Jr. Kerry Caldwell gave married girlfriend Binah McCoy an ultimatum last rotation. It's me or your loveless marriage, I think Binah is going to chose her boyfriend. She doesn't miss the irony that everyone assumed that it would be her romance sim husband that would be the cheater. Oh well. Svetlana Dorner is trying desperately to get pregnant and settle down in a "normal" life with fiance Kevin Browne. After everything that happened between her and Bella Aldon its clear that polyamory is for the birds. She'll be truly heartbroken when she learns that Bella Aldon intends to marry new girlfriend Nikki Blake. There is much, much more but for the moment I think this is enough. |

How is red hair recessive to blond hair? Genetics are not modded in my game. In my game, I had two black-head sims carrying a recessive blond hair and marrying a red hair. Vixente got two blond-head boys and a red-head girl. Ronny got one red-head and three blond-head boys. |

Nope. Default game behaviour is that black and brown are the same dominance level, as are blond and red. So a pairing where one sim has red hair and one sim has blond hair there should be a 50-50 chance of a child inheriting either hair choices. And a couple where one has black/blond and the other brown/red has a chance of the child inheriting any of the four hair colours. Before I mixed things up I had Julianne (blond) marry Wilbur (red hair) -- only one of their four children ended up with blond hair. |
Essa irl red hair is recessive to blonde and I always assumed it would function that way in game. I don't have many blondes in my game so so I guess I just never noticed. My most recent match between a blonde and redhead produced five blonde children and nary a redhead amongst them.
Katya how did you modify your game to make red hair recessive to blonde? |
I grabbed this mod for altering hair genetics and fiddled around a little. I managed to set the dominance value of red hair to 3 (grabbing the 'dominant red hair' and changing the value in SimPE) which in testing and gameplay has shown it to be recessive to all other hair colours.

ACR did quite a number on some wedding plans I had this weekend for two pairs of sims.
So I have these twins who were going to have a 'twin' wedding, a.k.a get married on the same day at the same place. I had the two twins - sisters Rhapsody and Sonata - and one of the fiancees (Sonata's) graduated and waiting around the chapel for the second fiancee, Felix to finish school. Pic of Felix, Sonata, and Rhapsody for reference Come his graduation day party, Rhapsody decided to make out in front of everyone with one of his best college friends. Like, this was such an affront that his mother and other friend are slapping the future bride upside the head for this. Party ends and he graduates, and I (with so much hope) put him into the chapel and he's just, so rightfully furious with Rhapsody at this point that a twin wedding isn't gonna happen without some relationship cheat manipulation, which I don't want to resort to. So instead I opt for them to go to couples counseling offered by the Officiate of the Chapel after they attend Sonata's wedding. I make Rhapsody apologize and them talk a lot of their issues out. I can't give up on this couple, they are triple bolts and have been with each other all of college. During the wedding party of Sonata and her new husband, I spy Felix making out with someone in the kitchen, for a moment I get my hopes up and think it's Rhapsody. Well the sim in question looks like Rhapsody, but only because it's her older sister Melody! And I'm just aghast at this because Melody is already married and I'm just like 'ACR, I curse you for ruining plans, but praise you for making things interesting!' So I guess Felix is getting back at her for making out with someone close to him, but her own sister?? Low blow, Felix. |
Jasper Smith (son of Johnny & Naenae Smith): While in college, Jasper fell in love with the atrociously evil witch Theresa and became a warlock himself. They got engaged and moved in together after graduating. This is when the trouble started. Jasper is a fortune sim with a LTW to have 6 pets reach the top of their careers. He works as a part-time vet and spends the rest of the time training his 4 dogs. Obviously, this requires a lot of work. Well, Theresa was lazy for one thing, so she wasn't much help. On top of that, she was messy and made more work for him instead of less. The worst thing, though, was that she was a romance sim with a LTW to woohoo 20 different sims. She saw no conflict between marriage and that particular life goal. So, she blatantly woohoo'd a visitor right in front of him and was shocked when he was angry. This was all just too much for him. He broke up with her, but allowed her to stay there until she was feeling better (she had been ill). Of course, the illness ended up to be a pregnancy. She didn't want children and certainly didn't want Jasper's children. However, after much apologizing and talking things over, they ended up friends and she agreed to stay until the baby came. They also agreed that he would take care of the child and she would move back to her evil castle and go about her life. Well, she had 3 babies instead of 1 (Raven, Ravenna, and Theodora). Poor Jasper. Four dogs and three children with no help at all. Theresa left immediately after the birth and never looked back. Finally, he hired a live-in nanny. A girl he had known in college. She was a family sim, very active, and nice. Due to her influence, he started learning good spells and is aspiring to be a good warlock. With all the work, they were together constantly so it was no surprise that they fell in love. This time Jasper is sure that he found the perfect woman for him. Now he just has to worry about finding the money to expand the cramped 2 bedroom house.

@Charmful, sometimes I debate on even having large weddings because it seems like where most of my hood's drama happens.
One time Emette and Reiko Davis attended a wedding and Emette got a little too tipsy and kissed Sephora Reeves, the one who got away, right in front of the entire wedding party near the wedding arch. Talk about public humiliation ! They are no longer together and Emette is actually married to Sephora now :D |

after I made the ACR relatinships requirements higher for a some of the aspirations that cut back on a lot of the drama. it didn't disappear altogether, but my sims now have impulse control to an extent. which makes the drama that much more enjoyable when it happens. |
Got my first squiggly lines in a long time. This time, in technicolor!
In all fairness, there was a modded item nearby that I very recently downloaded that I think could have caused it. (Some do. I've had another one for years that does this ... the creator actually mentioned it, and people have used it for years with no problems.) Plus there was a major route blockage. But it was a little disconcerting. I'll continue to see if squigglies pop up whenever this item is not too far from the Sim. If so, it's less worrisome. It was an item from here, though, and I'm en route to seeing if anyone else noticed any problems, or if there have been updates that I missed. |
The Ramirez family is fairly quiet, and their furniture store is starting to do well. For the summer, Tessa accompanied her parents to the shop and sold lemonade while they ran their business. She has also made friends with two other playable children. Lisa trained their beagle to do a couple of tricks and worked on her cooking skills. Checo invited the headmaster to dinner and got Tessa into private school; starting in the fall, she'll be the first child in my 'hood to attend private school.
At the Delarosa house, less time was spent on business - the home based flower shop was only open twice and Cyd's pet park was open once all summer. Instead, Cyd and Florence spent the summer battling flu, building up stock for the flower shop, and having dates with each other. They are also building relationships with passing wolves; Cyd has a relationship greater than 50 with three different ones, and both he and Florence roll wants to see wolves, play with specific wolves, and to become werewolves fairly often. I don't recall seeing the pack leader on their lot this rotation, though. Cyd wants to get married to Florence soon; she's content with being engaged and wants to wait on the wedding. I've also been playing with my build game folder. I normally just build houses as I play on the lots and expand as my sims get the money needed, but that means I can't reuse the lots that end up working really well. I started the build folder to have a faster loading game (no cc except essential mods) where I can recreate houses I really liked so that I have clean copies for other 'hoods and I can experiment with build ideas and not worry about sim funds. The last three days of fast loading have spoiled me - I am contemplating cleaning out extra cc from my play folder, but I probably won't get rid of much. |
I'm beginning to get a little worried about Gregorian Exodus. A little backstory, he has one child who survived the Rat Pit Plague. As a teenager Aster fell hard for neighbor Tang Ramirez and got a little big preggers. Gregorian was livid. The good news is it was the impetus he needed to finally move the family out of the Rats Pits, and he is proving to be a wonderful grandfather to young Ramirez. The bad news is he's still really angry. He won't allow Tang anywhere near the boy. Recently he became aware that Aster, now an adult, was doing a little innocent, mild flirting with a man visiting their home business. He became so enraged he went to a witch and bought a cursed object that saps the strength of any non family member on the lot. Now a normal person would have figured out that was a good way to lose business, but Gregorian was betting that the people would come and buy their tickets before growing tired and heading home. So far he seems to be right. But, this leaves Aster as a lonely, young woman. Yeah, she made a mistake, but she payed for it. She didn't go to college, staying home with her child instead. And she's a good mom. But as long as Gregorian has a breath in his body he will never forgive her and will never let her move on with her life.

I just played my fishing family. As it was summer vacation, there were plenty of people about to fish and build stock for Henry's market in my harbour sub-hood. Henry's wife Veronica is an ecological guru and didn't have work all summer, but three of the teenagers have part time jobs, so they occasionally had a few hours of work to go to. Henry and Veronica have had three sets of twins - Jason and Jessica, Michael and Grady, and Rose and Harold. Grady was abducted by aliens shortly after becoming a teen, and his daughter Athena is a toddler and will age up at the beginning of fall. The family also has a cat - a stray they befriended and adopted.
After fishing for most of the first day of summer, Henry invited over the other couples that had been the founders of my 'hood for a house party. A few relationships have dropped below friendship, but as their children are all growing up, I'm trying to reconnect everyone. Henry cooked up a couple of fish dishes and everyone socialized around the table before moving to the yard for a group smustle. While that was going on, Rose and Harold aged to teen, and I paused the game to look at their wants and interests before I was prompted to select aspirations. Harold is very serious with a few points in the science hobby (that's his OTH), interest in school and sci-fi, and he rolled a want for the extra-terrestrial reparation grant - he became a knowledge sim and went outside to summon aliens. Rose also wanted that scholarship, the undead educational scholarship (I haven't seen that want before), and the athletic award, and to go to college. She has higher interest in school and sci-fi than Harold and she likes the paranormal, but prefers nature to the science hobby - she also became a knowledge sim, but with so many wants for scholarships I figured she should have a fortune secondary. Rose left for downtown to see if she could meet a vampire while the party continued. Downtown, Rose met a count and became friends with him, but she wasn't bitten before she got too tired to stay. She went home and slept through the end of the party (it ended as a good time). She also slept through Harold's abduction, but I woke her up to invite the count over before the aliens returned her brother. Even after many other interactions, she still wasn't bitten, so Henry influenced the count to bite her. She then became the first playable vampire I've had in any of my games. She called the college and the want for the undead scholarship was filled, and she then rolled the want for the alien scholarship again. Her brother came back from his abduction pregnant, and after calling the college to qualify for the scholarship Harold rolled a want for the undead scholarship and a want to become a vampire. Rose happily bit him - and their mother then rolled a want to become a vampire too, and fears of either of them getting cured. Veronica is going to be disappointed, as I don't think all my knowledge sims need to become vampires. Grady also rolled that want a few times during the summer, but he's not getting bitten either - although his girlfriend rolled a want to become a vampire during their date on the third day of summer, so maybe they both will become vampires in college. On the second night of summer, Rose was abducted. Around that time, I realized that turning into a teen vampire seemed to have ended Harold's pregnancy, so I used simblender to make him pregnant by aliens and then accelerated the pregnancy to get him back to about the point he was supposed to be. Rose came back from her abduction with little change - I don't think anything happened to her (I'm using BoilingOil's alien experiments) but she wanted Harold to get abducted again - sorry Rose, not yet. She spent the rest of the night fishing, as she did for the rest of the summer. Most of her wants are nature hobby related, and she had spent most of her childhood fishing; she already has a gold fishing badge. I'm surprised she likes being a vampire so much; I had seen her more as a potential plantsim. Harold spent the nights during his pregnancy studying cooking. Jason brought one of the Tricou teens home from work, and Jessica was very attracted to her. They had a date, and both girls rolled wants to do all the same things (a mix of flirting and silly pleasure wants like playing on the couch). By the end of the summer, Jessica and Coco were in love, so Coco will be attending university with Jessica and Jason. Jason rolled a couple of wants for dates, but I couldn't recall which of the girls he has crushes on were in relationships with other sims so he didn't have any dates. Instead, he ate grilled cheese sandwiches to keep his mood up - unless he turns his life around in university, he may abandon his dream of becoming a ballet dancer and join the Cult of Grilled Cheese. Michael finally got promoted back to the top of the teen journalism career. Any time he wasn't helping catch fish or at work, he kept going to give financial counselling or trying to find people to play catch with. He came home from work on the second last day of summer with Georgia Newson, and finally rolled wants other than money related ones. He really likes Georgia, and they became friends quickly. Unfortunately, she was more attracted to his twin, Grady, who just sees her as a friend. Michael resorted to a love potion to make himself a bit more attractive, and after a date Georgia preferred Michael to Grady. She and Michael share more interests and their hobbies overlap better than she and Grady do; her initial preference to Grady was only due to having known him for longer. Grady was happy that she and Michael were getting on so well, and he and his girlfriend Sian had a double date them. On the second last day of summer, Harold gave birth to Diana. His motives plummeted during the morning, and he needed to be in his coffin. Henry and Grady took care of the infant for him during the day, but Harold still got woken up a few times. The house is tiny, and the only place I could put both Harold's coffin and Diana's crib was on the main floor near the tv - sims turning on the tv, the baby crying, or the phone ringing kept waking him up. Harold had a terrible day as a vampire, and the night was half over before his motives had been brought completely back up. The last day of summer didn't go much better for him, and when he woke up on the last night of summer, Harold rolled a want to be cured of vampirism. He bought the cure, and taking it filled fears of both his sister and mother - Veronica was knocked out of perma-platinum by it. |
awww poor Aster.

Playing the Goodies. They got a roommate...who double-bolts with Faith. There hasn't been much more than a few glancing passes between them, but when Herbert found himself getting restless, his wife was all too eager to encourage him to find a job.
We'll see how this goes. |
I have started on my new (or rather, makeover of the former) military hood, and have 16 Sims and 6 townies. Since the hood is called Kipling, the townies all have that surname, and since it is a military hood, the townies are dressed in uniform. The houses are all temporary, there is only one pond and one little diner, and besides the military Sims, I have made one beginner in the medicine, architecture, law enforcement, political and culinary career. One of each is probably enough for a base with such a small population. The one in the political career should become the mayor later on - for now she represents the Mayor in Sim City's office. I have never made or played such a tiny hood, so it is a brand new experience for me, and quite fun. I might make more townies later, seeing townies in uniform really helps to create the atmosphere somehow. I played them for a full five Sim days before building the diner; they had to meet at the pond, which is really just a pond. That means that there were no NPC in sight either until the diner got built. So these Sims had little else to do but to get to know each other well. (And it gave me time to get to know them well).

Toddler Declan wanted to play with his teen brother Cameron, but he didn't want to. But then Cameron felt bad and talked to him anyway. How sweet.
Having a big family is awkward, since a school bus will arrive for six kids (out of ten) in an hour. Kennedy and Ezra, the children of the family, seem to like playing on the computer a lot. Ezra's waiting for Kennedy to get off...only to find that she broke the computer. But Ezra forgives her by tickling her. Then the bus came, and I had to redirect Sawyer (who was reading to Declan) and Murray (who was blocked by his parents standing around and then wanted to play Punch U Punch Me with his mom). Once the bus finally left (Murray almost missed it), it was just the parents and the toddlers. Not a whole lot happened after that, just the toddlers playing and the parents talking. Then I realized how little value this game brings. It's for the better that I don't play anymore. I'm moving on. |
At the Marshalls household, Ryan didn't open the farm shop for the day -- instead he went and reseeded the garden patch. That took up pretty much the whole day, so no opportunity to open the shop even in the evening.
Rosaline had the want for another baby, locked, but she may not be able to achieve that. She's 44 at the start of the rotation, with five kids already, and a fertility of 12% or so. She can hope and dream, but unless she gets pregnant on her own she won't be getting a sixth child. Lyle invited over a potential girlfriend on the Tuesday, and they hit it off extremely well with him having three bolts with her. With a business and a garden to maintain, the teens and children in this household pretty much run on free will doing what they want. Anyway, both Alec and Lyle have a similar personality, and being Knowledge and Family (respectively) a lot of their potential matches are the same. They both had three bolts with Rose Chase, but in leaning towards Lyle for house heir I decided that Rose would be better with him. Cassandra headed off to university on the last day of the rotation, gaining only the SimCity Scholar's Grant. -- The next family was the Storm household, with their six children (including three toddlers). Duncan got promoted to Battle of the Bands Judge (Music level 5) thanks to a chance card, meaning that Elaine wasn't left at home looking after three toddlers on her own. Thankfully the triplets all grew up okay -- no more work promotions (because Julianne is at the top of the career; Duncan needed to skill up on his days off; and Elaine doesn't work). Eldest Cory is only one day away from becoming a teen, Kayleigh two -- that means I'll be getting some new teens into the mix for the next rotation. -- Onto the Stultz household, where Stella is pregnant and has zero chance of a singleton baby. She has over a 2/3rds chance of having twins, a 1 in 5 chance of having triplets, and a little under 1 in 10 chance of having quads. Unlike the Storm household, they've only got one child so far. Tony also finally had a want to get married when I loaded into the lot. So I took the opportunity and they had a nice wedding, in their underwear, just after Stella had gotten pregnant. ...And apparently Estelle had met Martin Lyndhurst and really not gotten on with him, as she had a want to see his ghost. Stella gave birth at 5AM on Tuesday to twins, a girl with blond hair and brown eyes, and a boy with red hair and lilac eyes. Named Amanda and Miles. Being the quintessential Family sim, Tony immediately rolled the want to have 10 babies. Stella got promoted to Unnatural Crossbreeder (Natural Scientist level 8) thanks to a chance card -- sadly, Rylan died that day, not even seeing the twins grow into toddlers the following day. The twins grew up and I think I screwed up -- while Estelle and Amanda have different personalities, they look rather similar. So I may have had accidental first born syndrome. Miles, however? Is incredibly cute (see picture at the end of this post)! And as a bonus, he doesn't seem to have as much of the Storm jaw as his sisters. So...I have a major front-runner for house heir. Both twins are average motivation. Tony naturally rolled a want for another baby as soon as the twins were born. He and Stella have been trying -- unsucessfully -- pretty much since the twins were born, so it looks like we're heading for another round of IVF. After four times of trying (and me just about ready to have them pay another $10k to keep going), Stella finally got pregnant. I sped up the pregnancy once 6PM had passed -- note that we're still running under the increased odds listed above. Stella gave birth to triplets -- a girl, Brynn, with blond hair, green eyes, and mediumish skin; a girl, Gemma, with red hair, brown eyes, and a slightly lighter skin than Brynn; and a boy, Richard, with black hair, green eyes, and a slightly ligher skin than Gemma. Six kids should hold off any more autonomous TFB on Tony's end. (I seem to be getting a lot of households with six kids.) |
My education minister's house/school is now just a high school. He's hired Jane Stacks Nova as an elementary teacher and given her the items meant for younger students and a cheque to fund the building of a community lot elementary under her ownership. Similarly, mayor Emily Stafford has given a cheque to Peta Kratz to fund a new post office. The summer was quiet at the school, as this summer there weren't any students in danger of failing who needed extra classes (last year Ginger Newson had some extra classes). The school was used by the community as a recreation center, open to all ages on some days and teens only on others.
Erol and Emily finally got their apartment within the school properly furnished. It has a kitchen/dining area, a small bathroom, a living room, and three very small bedrooms - one for them, one for their daughter, and one shared by their four boys. The oldest boy, Oliver, won't be starting university until the winter, Alex is a bit younger and will start in the spring, and the other three children are triplets who will age up at the end of fall (I think). Emily spent some time at city hall - it is now fully furnished with the exception of one room that I haven't figured out a use for. Erol spent a lot of the summer serving comfort soup to visitors and to his family - colds and flu always spread well at schools. Oliver met Molly O'Neil from my farming household and has high chemistry with her - both are knowledge sims with similar personalities, and I think they will pair up in the fall. Alex has 10 neat points and spent the summer obsessively scouring surfaces that no one else noticed was dirty - it fit well with his wants to improve his cleaning skills. Isaac and Andrew love living in the school - they spent their summer playing in the music room or shooting hoops in the gym. Poor Ilene was hit repeatedly by flu and spent most of her summer quarantined in her closet of a bedroom - she kept reinfecting herself after eating soup. She did finally recover at the end of the summer, but her social need is very low. On the last day of summer, Erol rolled a want to woohoo in a bed and both he and Emily had low fun, so they woohooed and got chimes. Their fertility is low and their risky woohoo chances are low (so chances of pregnancy were something like 3 out of 10 000) - I was very surprised. I guess their tiny apartment's living area will temporarily become a nursery and the school's office will get the tv and couch. I moved a few of the teens that had moved to college over the summer into a dorm. Most of my sims at college get three semesters/rotation, but as these sims started part way through the summer they only had one or two semesters. Jordan Farrell, Melody Tinker, and Dixie Land moved in first. Jordan and Melody were already friends and had shared a first kiss as teens but I wasn't sure if they were going to pursue a relationship with each other or not. Dixie rolled a want for a first kiss, but didn't have anyone she particularly wanted to kiss in mind. She did have repeated wants to phone family and friends back home, and wants to gain skills. She's a fortune sim, and her wants aren't helping me narrow down a secondary for her. All three of them all rolled wants to write papers, go to class, and do assignments, and part way through their first semester they all wanted to choose majors (math for Melody and Jordan and biology for Dixie). Jordan had one odd want (he's knowledge/grilled cheese) - on the second day at university, he wanted to read someone to sleep (at university? really? I think it may be that he misses his nieces or younger brothers). I might change his secondary to family when the option to change aspirations comes up later at university. After acing their exams, they were joined in their dorm by Sharla Ottomas and Patrick O'Neal. Patrick started rolling wants to become friends with everyone but he also wanted to write a term paper. Sharla's only academic wants were to do assignments - she mostly wants to find someone to flirt with and make money, which is no surprise from a fortune/romance sim. She rolled a want to choose a biology major, but I might change that later to one that better fits her dream of topping show business. Near the end of the second semester on this lot, Dixie had a first kiss with a dormie, Chuck Wagon, and Jordan started flirting with Melody, who now has a crush on him. Patrick rolled a want for a political science major as he came back from his exam, which fits well with his desire to become a general, so he registered for that just before I closed the lot. |
New in Kynareth Valley is Loveleen and Camila Oval. Loveleen is definitely just another family-orientated sim ready to fill the world with crotchfruit and her garden tomatoes, not to mention that Loveleen is totally her actual name. Her lovely wife Camila is a Kynareth Valley native that came back home after college and married a cute new girl that hung around at Bubbles 'n Juice long enough to have an unofficial job there making sure that bubbled out patrons don't wander into the back. What she doesn't know is that ""Loveleen"" was born as Rilena Token, one of the last big fish of Arrabbiata and she's laying low in Kynareth Valley after fleeing from Test Vale. For the first two days, Loveleen gardened and Camila worked on articles for the newspaper but the first day they were there, baby chimes were heard. Days of work, pregnancy, and Camila hitting Bubbles 'n Juice after a day of working at home, the baby was born. Stevan Oval is the first boy in the neighborhood and he's already adorable.
Loveleen trying to drop subtle hints about her line of work. A heavily pregnant Loveleen comes home from a long day of running a counterfeit operation. Loveleen and Camila welcome Stevan into the world Stevan learns skills and plays with his mamas. So far in the Ebonhand household, Savra got a new look and Rock and Roll grew up into toddlers. The house also got a facelift and new furniture to support a bigger family. Savra's new look. Rock [top] and Roll [bottom] grow into todders. |
Recently discovered Vimpse's Beyond The Scale skins, and installed those along with the regular ones that go together with them (Lilith's Honey skins). I started a new subhood where all the playables are different colors. It will be interesting to see how that goes. Also, I am going all out with community lots. So far, I have made a doctor's clinic/gym/kindergarten, a pet shop/shelter called Kitty City and a single's club. The combo lot is owned by a couple with a young daughter, Merlot (doctor), Tangerine (Education) and daughter Cerulean (born in-game).
Can you guess what colors these sims are? :P |
Williams, Morgan, Davis
Watch out! The Williams officially have four teenagers in the house! Moodiness will now be lurking in every corner... Other than that its been pretty calm there. Which is funny because they used to be my most chaotic household since the children were so close in age.
Adam II aged into a teenager and rolled a popularity/romance aspiration with the lifetime to become a hall of famer. Time to start gaining those body points. Emily managed to make another boy fall in love with her for her LTW. Poor Isiah, you were just a pawn in Emily's game. Peyton and Aaron have just been trying to lose weight and working on their skills. They're all doing really well at school and even managed to get A+ on all of their report cards. Their father, Adam managed to finish his master's in education and got promoted to a high school teacher, where he'll now be keeping an eye on his children. His wife Sara is still working at a fast food restaurant but its better than not making anything I guess. They're so broke they didn't have to pay a thing this recent tax season. They got a grand for each kid which all just went to their new mortgage. They recently bought the home off of Sarah's stepmom. They haven't even made a dent on their IVF loan. But that'll change soon, they're expecting some money to come in soon on both sides of the family. That should at the very least pay off all their loans and hopefully have some leftover to give their teens some decent clothes ![]() ---------------------
After the Williams, I headed off to the Morgan-Davis household where Sarah's brother and father live. Dakota was able to spend one last Thanksgiving with everyone and even invited his baby mama, Emma over. (When I had played the Williams', Dakota and Emma had fallen in love again at Adam II's birthday party.) I guess when your spouse dies (her spouse just died as well) you just want to relive whatever moments you can from your earlier life. I was going to prevent them from it since it didn't really make sense story-purpose wise. but I figured hey, its their last couple of days so why not? They seriously had a one stand and then Dakota started dating and eventually married Emma's best friend, Lilly. The things you do when you're lonely. ![]() Dakota passed away surrounded by his all of his family. Now its just Emette and Sephora in the big house. ![]() --------------------
Emette's son had a lot to celebrate. Parker and Savannah's daughter, Karen, aged aged into a child and announced that they were expecting another child! Things are looking up for them, not that they were horrible or anything but little Karen wasn't exactly planned. They wed quickly after she was born and sort of just stumbled into their current life. Parker found a well paying job in the surveillance field last rotation. He works nights so he's able to spend the days taking care of Karen. If things go well in the upcoming rotations his mother, Reiko, may be able to retire early once Parker's younger sister heads to college. Reiko and Emette currently have 50/50 custody of Kessi. But with the announcement of Parker's second baby on the way, Kessi may just live decide to live with her father. (Plus its easier for me so I can give Kessi equal attention) Reiko isn't going to take that well, along with not getting Emette's child support. (He just recently got two raises so it got bumped up ![]() Kessi broke up with her boyfriend, Logan, since she caught him cheating on her at one of the college campus' parties. To distract her from her heartbreak she decided to enroll in culinary school until she heads of college. Parker and Savannah had a baby boy they named Caleb and Kessi headed off to her father's house. Its his week to have her anyway but I'm pretty sure she'll be staying there permanently. |
My hood population went from 38 to 32 within two days. Had six elders all close to the end of their lives so they all kicked off either Wednesday or Thursday evening. Now so many of my sims have at least one Fear of someone dying. Sad.

In the beginning of each round I roll for deaths, there were quit a few this time, it was bound to happen considering I usually get off fairly easy. Well, tragedy in the name of death befell the Peterse household. 17 year old Claren, sole heir for the family rolled the short end of the dice(?). But at the end of last round he had married 17 year old Ada Fortichiari. And she had quickly fallen pregnant. She gave birth to quadruplets, and of course the birth was very hard on her and she died shortly after birthing the last child. They had two sons and two daughters. One of their sons, named after Claren's father, Tibalt, was far smaller than the others so he will be joining his parents to an early grave as well. Grandma Vicki now has to care for these three small babes on her own, and hope the Peterse name lives on through Haymo, named after his paternal great grandfather. Honestly i'm starting to believe this family is just doomed to end. Every single child has died at young ages, even the founders both died in their 30's. I wonder which witch they pissed off. :P

I've played one semester in each university residence at LGU and will play two more in each before going back to the rest of the 'hood.
Laurie Poireau and Gavin Newson started their senior year by moving into a house with Ginger - she's a sophomore, and pregnant for the second time by Laurie. She and Laurie got married, and that somehow made Ginger interested in passing classes. Her wants suddenly changed from wanting to skip class to do assignments and write a term paper (she's family/pleasure). She is still rolling wants to juggle and play on the couch, so I don't think she's glitched, but marriage seems to have made her more responsible. Gavin had a date with Sharla Ottomas (freshman), and they immediately fell in love and then both rolled wants to get engaged, so they did. Sharla seems happy even with her romance secondary, and Gavin (fortune/family) rolled a want for another date with her. They went downtown, and photo-booth woohoo lead to both rolling wants to woohoo three sims in public - why??? It made sense for Sharla, but aside from romance sims I normally only see knowledge sims roll that want, and Gavin hasn't ever been interested in anyone other than Sharla. Laurie got abducted to the secret society near the end of the semester. Fortunately I'd saved before the limo arrived, as the game glitched on his return home - dormie Gene Poole ate cowplant cake just as the limo was leaving, and the loading screen refused to come up and I couldn't get Laurie back onto the lot, either. I quit without saving and Laurie got abducted again. This time I locked the gate to the cowplant until Laurie could feed the poor thing and Gene Poole survived to participate in a tangled mess of first kisses and new crushes between the dormies (there were at least four kisses - I turned off the cinematics after the first one, and a couple of the dormies seem to have multiple admirers). Laurie got home just in time for Ginger to give birth to triplets - like their older sister, their names all start with L. Laurie's exam was earlier than Gavin and Ginger's thanks to time at the secret society, so he had his exam while they fed babies, and then he watched the babies while they wrote their exams. The sorority, fraternity, and band households have me very confused; I've lost track of some of the relationships and love triangles, and thanks to a couple of changed aspirations chemistry has changed for a few sims. Three of the frat brothers have crushes on or are in love with Ida Juana Knowe; Helen Wheels is in love with two of those brothers and both love her back but their chemistry has changed and they are now rejecting flirts from each other. The one frat brother (Tony) that Ida Juana loves back is the object of crushes by several other sims in town; though he prefers Ida Juana, Tony accepts flirts from others, including both Dot Matrix and Daisy Wheels at the Printer Sisters household. I think Tony is the root of most of the relationship troubles in town - he's a popularity sim that double bolts almost everyone, he was a dormie before joining the frat and he has many best friends. He wants to be a cult leader - I don't think he'll have trouble attracting followers, and I don't think his cult will be as benign as the Cult of Grilled Cheese - Tony seems manipulative and charismatic to me and I think his cult will center on him (he's also got low nice points). Spring has just started for all three of these lots, and Helen, Andy, Hi, JoAnn, and Daisy all want to ask sims out on dates, and with their multiple crushes, I have no idea who each should ask out. I tried drawing a diagram of who is interested in who, and it is just a messy web of lines. Also at the frat, Isha Bugeja finally got Eva Besson to agree to an engagement - it took over a year of university for her to forgive his drunken behaviour at a party. They both graduate next semester, and I am not sure how well their relationship will last - both have 3 nice points and opposing LTWs. Isha wants to be a criminal mastermind, Eva wants to head SCIA. Between the conflict with their work goals, their rocky past, and Isha continuing to drink too much, they have a lot of potential for drama. A more stable couple between the frat and sorority members is Bo and Pavarti. They were dormies that fell in love before I started playing them, and they both have simple career wants and cuisine hobbies. I think they may end up as restaurant employees - a bit dull, but needed in my town. Erik and Maik graduated at the end of the semester I just played; they will hang about the frat to recruit a new member or two and to throw parties. They are engaged, but haven't rolled marriage wants yet. They'll move into a small house in my shopping district - Erik wants to be a city planner, and Maik is a criminal. The prison is being built in that district, and Maik and Isha are likely occupants of it in a rotation or two. The Nerdist household has a much simpler love triangle than the frat/sorority/band mess. Sara loves both Cliff and Hugh, they both love her, and they are all best friends with each other. Sara spent the winter rolling wants to get engaged to either Cliff or Hugh and sometimes to both at once. Neither of them rolled that want, but both rolled wants to flirt with her (and all the other related wants). All three of them are still focused on university, but spring has the potential to be interesting. |
The new soldiers in Kipling have to go to the pond for fitness training on the obstacle course in the afternoons. That means they have to ask somebody there to train them. To my surprise, the good witch joined in and trained a recruit rather well!

A fire started in one my apartments. Even though the kitchen had a fire alarm (meaning that the fire department came), the fire couldn't be put out because the 4 cats were blocking the firefighter's way. The fire lasted for about 4 hours until the kitchen completely burned down. It was really funny. BTW, I didn't know that controlpets on can't stop the "Fire!" action...

I created a new university from scratch, and called it Oregon State University. I have a favourite dorm that I keep as a residential lot in my Lots and Houses bin. That way I can set down several copies and decorate them all differently before entering the cheat 'changelotzoning dorm'. My university now has four dorms, with six community lots, and a statue of Bella in the middle.
The first dorm, blue and white inside and out, received my six favourite characters from the list of teenagers waiting to go to college: five pretty girls, and George. They received my minute attention, and are now all juniors. George is having the time of his life. Then I set down a second dorm, this time brown and cream inside and out, and picked six less favoured sims; they have received only cursory attention, mostly being left to look after themselves. They are now sophomores. Then, feeling more creative, or perhaps being less tender about the feelings of my teenagers, I decorated the third dorm in monastic colours, with church doors and windows. I called this one 'The Seminary', and the downstairs gym was converted into a chapel, with an altar, a statue of the grey lady, and the altars dedicated to earth, air, fire and water. Then I selected six young men to train for the priesthood, dressed them all in Hogwarts uniform, and gave them all the General Buzz military haircut. They made the usual trip to the bookshop to buy their cell phones, and each bought a magazine about supernatural matters. I found that reading that magazine was enough to raise interest in the supernatural to ten points of interest. I look forward to educating some cult leaders in the seminary. The fourth dorm I decorated in pink and white, with flowers, and statues of Cupid. Here the downstairs gym was converted into a double bedroom with a mirrored closet, for practical lessons. To balance the maleness of the seminary, I brought in six young women to train for a far older profession. I was a little dismayed to find I had five knowledge sims, all intent on writing their term papers, and one family sim who just wants to fall in love. Nevertheless I gave each one a secondary aspiration of romance, and wondered which magazine could swing their interest away from writing assignments to alluring other sims. They are all freshers, and I wonder whether I will raise a generation of woohoo professionals, or just a load of doctors and lawyers. |
Kipling : First week
Monday : the 16 recruits moved into their mobile temporary homes. Twelve townies in military clothing added by me - the doctor, the architect, etc, are among them. The recruits were awarded 4 cooking points each. All of them had Monday off, so they had time to meet some of the others and made a couple of friends. One recruit made sure that he met everyone and had 11 friends at the end of the day - he was, it seems, the welcome wagon. Tuesday : Work, and then after work, lunch if hungry. Off to the pond for military training and they had time to check the others out. There were social dinners during the evening, but all the recruits were exhausted and went to bed quite early, after obtaining one mechanical and one charisma point each (some succeeded in getting more). Wednesday: Those who were off had to go and exercise in the morning. Those who had to work went exercising after work. There were a number of first kisses between work, studying and working out, some fishing, and - yeah, trust a knowledge Sim to get the first ACR woohoo in, beating the romance Sims to it. He went for a townie, and I think I may have made her knowledge too. The rest were too exhausted, but at least the hard part will be over for the recruits on Thursday morning. So Thursday night will be date/outing/party night. The military townies built a diner with dancing and drinking. Let us see where the night leads then! |
I'm currently playing the last day of spring.
I think I'll have a flu plague since Irma Granville-Carver catched it. She is one of the sim who often come uninvited while being helpful. At the moment 5 sims are sick and a hospital really need to be built. I also played my breeder household which head is Ayade. She's married to Jeff (most awesome family sim in the hood). They have three children, teen Elfreda and toddlers Elvira and Emeric and three dogs, Tempête, Ouragan and Laly. After cleaning the house, Jeff left for work. Later Elfred left for school. Ayade took care of her own needs leaving the twins to their own devices. They have toys, food from pets bowls and doghouses available. At 11th, Tempête died of old age. Soon after Laly ran away. After work, Jeff and Ayade shared quality time. At 17PM, Elfred came back from school with Thalia L'Ecuyer and ignored her while she was there. The twins grew up to child in decent clothes. As Elfred was really tired he headed to bed meanwhile Elvira was dancing on her big brother feet. |
Babyboom. I feel like generation three just started; now there are nine of them in it and six are teenagers (not that I skipped baby and toddler stages for some of them, I'd never).
This time, Caligari Neighbour "accidentally" (on their part, not mine) made his best friend pregnant, later he moved in with the kid and her mother and made their room mate pregnant as well. The no jealousy mod is working, luckily, so Caligari and the two mothers, Ace and Lady, can all be happily in love with each other. |
Boarding House (Tyler Traveller, Gerard Landry, and Jodie Larson): I had to completely redo the boarding house as I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I made it. It went from 4 small rooms to 2 apartment suites. The kitchen, lobby, and game/exercise room are shared. Tyler (son of Trent & Trish) didn't find a mate in college and saw no need to buy a house. One night, while looking through the telescope, he got abducted. This is only the second child born since I put in my new multi-PT mod. He got PT Blue (yeah, real creative). His little girl is named Elara.
When he found out that he was pregnant, he started thinking about settling down. He ended up getting back together with Gerard Landy who was his first love. Gerard is a family sim, so it didn't take long before they were married. Tyler was still pregnant at the time of the wedding, a simple affair in the backyard. After which, Gerard moved in and changed his entire look. Although he loves little Elara, he has wants to adopt a baby. We'll see. The suites they live in are only 2 bedrooms. Jodie is a fortune sim and lives in the boarding house to save money. She works in the criminal career path. Even though she doesn't want to settle down (unless the man happens to be rich, of course), she does get lonely. She has been woohooing Jace Macerevich from time to time. Eventually, she ended up pregnant from a risky woohoo and had a little girl named Jenna. Jace wants to have a more serious relationship, but she doesn't care much for lazy sims - not enough ambition. She does allow him visitation, though. I don't know if she will ever settle down as there are very few rich sims and they are all married. Perhaps she will have to settle. |
Since I didn't find a ready-made Sim Scout Leader outfit (well, to be honest, it's not like there is that high a demand for them!), I fashioned one using a couple of downloads from this site and a Maxis skirt. Unfortunately, I haven't found a scout like-enough outfit for a male Sim (though the military beret in the game helps), so for now, the leader is going to have to be a female. I do kind of like the result on the female, though.
She has a troop of five Sim Scouts (for now, the group is mixed), and I've been thinking of places she could take them and things the troop can do. Recently, I took a building on which I CFE'd quite heavily, and while it looks cute to me, does have limitations, and made it a kind of Audubon Center. Sim Scouts can learn about birds and do birdwatching. I was inspired by Peni, who has a Humane Center in her hood. I like birds, so a bird information center makes sense for me. I also have an Arts Center I've put in various hoods and Unis, and converted one room into a small Kids Space where they can paint and make plates. (Can't keep 'em, though ... Pity.). My public pool will be fun in the summer, and I could make a day camp where they can run around and play sports. I'm still thinking of more ideas. |
Tragedy struck the Ebonhand house when The Controller got attached to a nanny and moved her in then aged her down only for her to be weird and glitchy and forcing the entire lot into some weird time stop limbo that wasn't fixed even after said nanny was culled by the town guardian. Savra, Deliah and their two children were forced to move out and their house was torn down, leaving them in yet another limbo where it's summer for them once again. The Controller is currently fixing up a new home for them in the same area.
[I feel so bad and pretty dumb for doing that now that I look back ;w; all those seasons just up in smoke... I guess I'll play everyone else to summer then play them again but they'll be pretty behind at this rate.] |
Over at the Wegner household, there'll be a fair amount of aging up this rotation. Triplets Connor, Daniel, and Nina will all be becoming teens, Reece will be becoming a child, and the eldest three (Dawn, Brandon, Emily) will be getting very close to heading off to university.
Emily's still holding out hope for the Extraterrestrial Repairations Grant and has been attempting to stargaze at every opportunity. She finally got enough enthusiasm in Science to scan for UFOs early Wednesday morning. Reece grew into a child, and I had to managed to wrangle another single bed into the bedrooms. Despite the size, the house they're in is not really equipped for so many children. Thankfully, as I said above, the older teens will soon be moving out. And apparently I looked away from the game for too long as the next thing I saw, everyone was awake, Reece was stargazing, and Emily was nowhere to be found. Yup, she'd been abducted. Aaannnd...she came back pregnant. Of course. She went into labor a little before the end of the rotation to give us triplet alien babies, two boys and one girl. Baby 1 was a boy, Archer; baby 2 was a girl, Lyra; baby 3 was a boy, Vega. All three had brown hair, alien eyes, and alien skin. Hooray for vaguely-astronomical names. The (first) triplets grew up a couple of hours later. Connor rolled double Knowledge; Daniel rolled Popularity/Pleasure, and Nina rolled Fortune/Knowledge. All LTWs to be determined. I had realised that I hadn't rolled for Emily to get an abortion or put the triplets up for adoption. Seeing as they were already born I couldn't exactly do the former, but I did a roll for adoption which Emily passed. That means yet more babies in the adoption system, and I had to go and play the adoption house/grow the current babies up. (I think I'm also going to readjust the multiples option because I am getting way too many multiples for my liking. Tentative adjustments have it so that sims will have zero chance of a singleton only if both parents themselves are multiples, both have Family as their primary aspiration, and having gone through a round of IVF.) (I'm also not feeling too great so while I'm continuing playing Cresdale, updates in the near future may just be bare bones.) |
Inada
Katya, you can have double knowledge aspiration? I'm confused.. Does that just mean they don't pick a secondary aspiration?
-----------------------------------------------
Its time that William Inada moved out of the Inada family home. Its a little cramped in there with four generations so I gave him his police car and moved him out into an apartment. I moved him in my new apartment complex where I plan to move Julia Landgraab in to see how they hit it off, or not. Madison has finally retired, good timing too because her great grandchildren are over for the week. Might as well spend time getting to know them before she dies soon. Her son Makell had a birthday and aged into an elder. He had a pretty good week and got promoted to concert pianist! His wife Suri got a job as a nanny but I may have her quit since they've got plenty of money. Plus they just had an infidelity issue so I'm sure she'd rather be at home to make sure she keeps Makell in check ![]() Their son Avgeni finally made the transition from broadway star to studio musician. Unlike most actors, his passion is music but when things weren't going anywhere he took a job as an actor that he couldn't pass up. With two kids now he needed the money, plus he hoped that it could eventually guide him in the right direction to pursue music again and it finally did! Things are finally looking up for him. After being left at the alter by his children's mother, he started dating Esther Davis and he's hoping to propose soon! Avgeni and Makell are planning to make a music studio once Madison dies. Then everyone can room hop and they'll have an extra room for their studio. ![]() Camille and Seth are doing well, nothing particular is going on. It'll be a little weird going back to their mom's house with their new baby brother there. |
It's been an incredibly eventful week at the Ebonhand house. Firstly. Rock and Roll aged into children and they're both sweet angels that love to paint and play piano. Rock always rolls wants to play piano and do homework and Roll always rolls wants to do homework and paint. They get along pretty well too. Savra cheated on Delinda with a random townie at the Electrodance club and walked away pregnant, and had her son Diovan without ever telling the townie. While she was still out, she witnessed the town's mayor cheat on her fiancee with another townie, but there wasn't any baby chimes. Delinda was kidnapped by aliens and had her son Deimos soon after but the game kept crashing so after rolling the pacifier a few times, it was fixed. Savra put the bubbles away for good when she discovered that she was pregnant with Diovan-she was bubbled out when she cheated and she doesn't want to risk her family for another fix.

Yeah, it pretty much means they didn't pick a secondary. I used to do it so that if a sim rolled the same number for their secondary they became a secondary Grilled Cheese sim but after playing like that I found that I just didn't like doing so. I then considered a re-roll, but that felt a little off (like I didn't 'agree' with their initial choice). Instead, someone rolling the same number just doesn't get a secondary -- I presume that they're just so focused on their primary aspiration that there's no room for the secondary aspiration. |
Oh right now? all my families must think I forgot about them...I should go back and play with them huh?
|
i finished off the college rotations and sent 11 graduates home.
At the Nerdist household, I gave up trying to sort out the love triangle. I've got ACR's global jealousy settings set for committed relationships, and I normally adjust individual settings based on personality, aspiration, and individual sim stories. However, I haven't tweaked any of my college sims yet and.as they aren't in committed relationships, Cliff and Hugh don't mind if one of them kisses Sara in front of the other. I'm torn between setting them to jealousy when in love and watching the resulting fireworks and setting them to no jealousy and just letting all three of them stay together - Cliff and Hugh are best friends. The three of them spent most of their time at the science building and studying together; the romantic relationships aren't as important to them as their studies, friendship, and hobbies. With the band/sorority/frat mess, a lot of it got simplified when Andy Bellum fell in love with JoAnn Gutenberg at a toga party. At the same party, Helen Wheels got a crush on the newest frat brother Henry, so she's stopped pining over both Andy and Hi (both of whom still love her, but won't accept any flirts). Hi has a few loves and doesn't want any committed relationships, so he's happy. Tony is still in love with Ida Juana and is also still making most sims swoon, but he's finally met a girl who can't stand him. He and Bo's girlfriend Parvatti are slapping each other any time they are on the same lot, and I don't know what started it. Over one semester they went from wanting to argue with each other to furious enemies; both have 3 nice points. The band spent a lot of time performing at the lounge, while the Greek houses had parties and dates. The band members surprised me by all rolling wants for group research - it's easy to fill and filling it triggered more study/assignment wants, so they passed easily. Daisy helped JoAnn get the skills she needed to fully open the progress bar (Daisy rolled a logic skill want and JoAnn needed logic, so Daisy invited her to play chess). Andy Bellum became the first college sim in this game to go on academic probation. In his final semester, he didn't have the skill points needed to pass. He needs cleaning or logic, and with the slower skilling mod I use, he wasn't able to get cleaning high enough despite being the only one to clean for three days. He also only autonomously played chess once and not long enough to earn a skill point. Unless he rolls a want to skill or fear of failure, things get dirty quickly, or he suddenly becomes fascinated by chess, he's going to fail his repeat year, too. The rest of the fraternity, aside from Henry, had just enough skill points to get by with a mix of Cs and Bs. Henry, being a dormie just made playable this semester, walked to his exam with a full progress bar. At the sorority, everyone had needed skill points. I moved most of the graduates into my fishing lodge apartments. Erik Swain moved in first, and while he was renting a room a social group townie that I had made playable walked onto the lot and into the apartment she used to live in. Then another copy of her walked in, and then another. I think it was a portal glitch, though last time I had a playable sim on that lot move out he hung around the lot until after I'd played his new house. I dealt with her by moving in other graduates so that playables held all the apartments and then moved Erik out and then back in. I opened the lot the ex-townie now lives on, played it for a few minutes, then went back to the apartment lot. There was no sign of the ex-townie when loading any of the four apartments, and hoodchecker didn't show anything odd when I ran it after exiting the game, so I am fairly sure it wasn't a serious glitch. It's always a bit nerve wracking when the game does odd things, though. The new graduate households are: Erik Swain and his fiance Maik; Eva Besson and the drunken Isha Bugeja; Arnold Colt and Jacquette Rusche; Mariona Cordier and Andrew Walburton; and Ida Juana Knowe. Most of those sims were dormies that joined the sorority or frat; Mariona and Maik were townie teens that went to college with Gavin, and Ida Juana is a playable from Land Grant U. Ida Juana is the only one not currently in the fishing apartments - she's camping on a temporary 1x1 lot until I play her. Also graduating were Gavin Newon and Laurie Poireau, but they moved back into the Newson house, along with Laurie and Ginger's triplet toddlers. Ginger is now alone in a house at the university, but she'll be joined by Gabriella and Gallagher before she graduates (if she graduates - she needs skills for her next semester). |
The idea of the Nerdists as a happy little polyamorous trio is highly appealing...
Apartment ghosts are normal. I've found the simplest thing to be deleting them with move_objects. Trent's junior year was limping along when Tammy Ottomas started rolling wants to fall back in love with him, despite making an effort to meet other guys who'd be less flaky. So she called him up and told him they needed to talk, taking him to the Dinerama at ALT with an agenda in mind. He had never fallen out of love with her, and she's known him a long time, so by the time she got him to the hot tub in the Notell Motel nearby, he found himself telling her all about The Plan to become a double agent and undermine the government while working for the SCIA. She's the first person he's ever discussed The Plan with, for obvious reasons, and he was surprised by the results. For one thing she homed right in on a weakness he hadn't even thought about - that he was basing his life choices on a plan over which he had no control at all, there not being any way to guarantee that the SCIA would hire him! She convinced him they could be revolutionaries together and the next thing he knew they were engaged. She quickly undertook to break up his other romantic entanglement with Davine Newson, by the simple expedient of woohooing him at the next toga party and flashing her ring around. Trent feels a lot better about life generally, despite having had it brought to his attention that his plan was both egotistical and impractical. Everything's better with Tammy, is the thing. Meanwhile, since Hallie Capp rolled a want to get engaged to Geoff Hart, and he didn't roll any commitment wants, Hallie invited him on a date and then back to her place, where she dropped a little ultimatum - no ring, no more woohoo! As a Family/Romance sim he felt this was reasonable. Hallie has now moved in with him and Trent, which can't possibly cause any problems down the road just because Hallie and Trent periodically roll wants to fall in love with each other. The residence, which had felt so huge, is now a little crowded, since Hallie brings a big screen TV, a parrot, and various other furnishings with her. Trent and Geoff invited their family and Tammy's sorority over and a good time was had by all. Trent and Geoff's dad Rhett, who knows a thing or two about awkward love polyhedrons, thinks Tammy needs to move in ASAP, but she wants to make up with Davine - who is, after all, her best friend - first. Their sister Angel thinks it's great that two of her best friends are engaged to two of her brothers. Little Beatrice spent a lot of time playing with Hallie's parrot Ariel and dancing on Trent's feet. The Middles mostly took turns on the electro-dance sphere some secret admirer (Davine, in fact) left for him. |
I'm finishing up simweek 2 (two-thirds through year 1; I have modded 22-day, four-season years) of my UC Megahood (Tarlia's). Just rolled the ROS for each family and for the hood for the next week.
No services will be on strike this coming week, and taxes aren't due. But health and life insurance premiums both get collected at the start of the week. More important, Nina Caliente and Edward Contrary both drop dead (and Bianca Monty-Curious will pick a fight with her least-liked neighbor, but that's certainly minor in comparison!). I'm pretty sad about Nina especially; she's always had such flavor in every iteration of her I've played. And she's definitely the most interesting person in her household---she lives with Gabriel Green and Don Lothario. (Might have been a mistake to give Don an Athletics LTW, as far as keeping him interesting. But he does love work and has a Fitness OTH, so it seemed natural at the time.) This housing situation is recent, though; Nina fell in love with Carlos Contender (who went permaplat after woohooing her among many others) and became pregnant by him, then decided after the baby was born that she needed space to pursue her own dream (which is also to woohoo with 20 different sims). So moving out of the Contender house and away from her now-toddler was supposed to be temporary. And now I guess she's never going back. (Carlos has had his hands almost too full to miss her, ever since his niece Isabel Baldwin died under suspicious circumstances, right after finding out that her husband had cheated on her with Alexandra Teatherton [that was a shock to me too; Alexandra was just inviting Ben over to finish making best friends...which they achieved together, sure, just not in the way I figured]. Carlos, now living in a downloaded four-bedroom estate, had moved in Isabel's widower Ben and the Baldwin children, including a baby that had been ACR-conceived by the Baldwins before Isabel's death. So no dull moments there. Nevertheless, I think he was looking forward to Nina's return, even if just to help him out!) Edward Contrary was a tragic figure already. He and his strangely cold wife Opal had split and then divorced after Opal gave birth to their ACR baby, Astleigh. It was a lot of work for Edward, keeping up with his greenhouse garden and the baby and his LTW career, but fortunately he and his teen son Rick had reconciled, and Rick did help out as he could. Personally, I had secretly been hoping to marginalize Opal because I disliked her coldness. My last straw came when she repeatedly cheated on Edward with Marcel Jocque, finally woohooing Marcel in a photobooth. At least the woman finally had the decency (well, after the first couple of cheating incidents) to stop fearing becoming enemies with Marcel's wife and daughter! But I guess that's true to life---it was her choice to cheat, but like some people, some sims prefer to do bad things and just not have consequences. (Yes, Edward is Astleigh's real father, though.) But now Rick Contrary's left for college, so I suppose toddler Astleigh must go to live with Opal once Edward passes. Her mother Opal, who never rolled a single want to interact with her nor ever did so autonomously either. (That's why I had Edward keep Astleigh originally when Opal left!) Poor kid. But here's to hoping that Opal surprises me. I mean, I don't know that I'd really forgive her, but a kid deserves a good parent. So if she can manage at least that, I'll be pleased. On a somewhat more technical note, I'm continuing with my project to have rental vacation homes in all the Maxis vacation hoods, using the Simlogical Lot Income Rights system. All mortgages of regular residences in my hood are already privately financed thanks to the LIR (meaning that no one gets a mortgage if no one else has the capital to "lend" them the money by purchasing the lot's income rights), so I really want this to work. Already have the properties all set up, but I've not been able yet to confirm that the vacation-rental system will consistently work: the first night's payment goes through just fine, but subsequent nights' charges seem not to be deducted or transferred to the property's income-rights owner. This time, I've used Pescado's Magic Wand to pre-depreciate the rental properties, so that furniture losing value during the vacation should be out as a culprit. Let's see what happens. |
The dust continues to settle after the last great Plague outbreak in Queens Bluff. It was the deadliest outbreak in the history of the Bluff, sparing no family and no institution. The mayor and most of his staff perished, as did the Bishop and all but one of the Sisters of Mercy; the army and the Green family were similarly affected. Fortunately the Bluff's pool of talent is deep enough that survivors were able to restore civil function; Chief Constable Virgil Green was especially instrumental in recalling the city's young men from studies abroad refill the multitude of vacancies, putting his own fortune to work paying for nurses and guardians to so many newly-created orphans. In his role as senior warden of the Church, he is functionally in charge of it until young Gilbert Keith, being groomed as Bishop Ebeneezer's heir, finds another bishop to give him holy orders.
In nearby Cornwall, the outlook seemed much more grim for a time. Most of the village's adult population perished, and though its surviving landlord Aeneas sent for the Cornwell men abroad, half of them perished enroute. In the meantime, the village was invaded by a tribe of so-called 'Vikings', who seized many valuable properties and had Aeneas well and truly surrounded. When Paris and Xerxes arrived, they found a hopeless cause and retired to Queens' Bluff, hoping to solicit help. Aeneas resolved to fight on alone, however, despite the fact that young Caesar -- the heir of Lord Caesar, the creator of Cornwall and the father of the caste of landlords who control all the land within it -- was being held captive. Though details are still sketchy, evidently Aeneas was able to single-handedly duel and kill four of the Vikings' leading champions, and only two are left: Ubba the Coward and Bjorn. Aeneas did not succeed in merely four fights, but over twenty, and now his name is uttered in awe. His record as a fighter is second only to Lord Caesar's, and Lord Caesar's contests were for far more ignoble purposes -- and never achieved anything except getting him shot in the back. Aeneas angrily refused an offer by the utterly amazed Paris and Xerxes to make him the true Caesar, though given that Cassius is dead and has no male heirs, his vast fortune is up for grabs -- and Caesar, rescued by the combined efforts of Cyrus and Aeneas, will undoubtedly split it between the champions. Still, when young Caesar comes age, he may regard with jealous resentment the high esteem given to his cousin. |
Kent Capp met aliens. My plans are coming together.
Consort got promoted to Tycoon. LTW accomplished. Now he wants to go back to the vacation lot on Twikkii. Juliette got a C in school. Hermia got demoted at work. Bootstrap doesn't give me a headache on the smartphone like it does on the flatscreen monitor but typing is a pain! |
Monica Bratford and Kevin Beare had such an adorable little daughter! She's so chubby and cute. I was hoping the first litter of puppies would've grown up today, but they didn't. The second litter arrived though - just one boy puppy. Turns out the larger households mod doesn't seem to work with pet pregnancies because now they can't have more litters. I'll have to wait another day until the first litter grows up and sell them. Maybe keep one of the females because Kevin recently bought a male puppy from the Debateau's.

Andromeda Larsen and Espresso Neighbour just became teenagers, and just as much of a dynamic duo as their respective parents - cousins Nessie Larsen and Jaws Neighbour. So Andromeda and Espresso went downtown on their own for the first time, they went to a restaurant where they mostly fooled around. Just before they left, though, Nessie had been burning his food and appearently had another go at it as me and the teenagers left the lot just as the oven burst into flames. So I was pretty worried. Well, when we came back Nessie was in the other end of the house, just standing around, Jaws wanted to use the toilet but Konrad Platz was smustling just in front of it, and their second cousin Piel-Divina was at the kitchen table eating Nessie's burnt and rejected food, all while the flames were dying out on their own before the firefighter had even reached the door. It was such an anti-climax and I'm very grateful for that. Then at night a burglar came. I was so pissed off because he went inside the room where Andromeda and Espresso were sleeping, which is a seperate mini-house, and that must've been so creepy to wake up to. Andromeda attempted to give chase but the burglar got away... with their room-divider. I hope he'll have lots of fun with it.

Quite chaotic in Kipling at the moment - Thursday night, meaning lots of parties and group outings, as well as a couple of dates - and I have no idea who kissed who now; these soldiers behaved like wild animals after quite a tough week.
And - I am not even halfway through with the rotation either. |
The new generation is getting underway all due to risky whohoo, in fact is every baby due to risky whoohoo? I think it is.
The Mitchel's hold the record with 3 grandchildren. |
I just started a brand new neighborhood. My Sim, Kandis, a Fortune Sim, moved into an apartment complex. She had intended on staying single for a while, skilling up, and climbing the Law career. But then townie Juan Reamon rented the unit next door and ACR had other plans. What started out as a purely physical relationship, ended up being true love. Kandis became pregnant and Juan proposed. They married in the garden of the apartment complex, in the middle of a snow storm.
After a fairly exhausting, but uneventful pregnancy, baby Julian Reamon was born last night, in the living room. Juan, a Family Sim, wants more kids right away, but Kandis wants to wait. |
Created my own neighborhood and I'm planning on populating it with the simbin families, particularly the Ramaswami's, Picaso's, Gavigan's, and Traveller's!!

Hi everyone.
![]() Jo, Coral Bay is absolutely beautiful <3 That wedding looked perfect too. Even though it quite clearly had much to be desired. ![]() I've spent practically all day working on a CC-free aquarium after stumbling across this thread today. I loved chickadeelee's aquarium when I saw it awhile back, but I never knew that the download link was broken so I wanted to attempt a version that could be shared for others to inject any aquarium cc into it of their choice. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to upload it, or where I'll upload it to -- it's hardly as impressive as the original that I based it off of, but it's a start, right? ![]() Now, for actual gameplay! I'm working on a homebrew BaCC hood named Corinth, which is in the very beginning stages of development (the oldest of Gen 1 just turned into a child about four sim days ago). In Corinth, things are interesting. I'm waiting impatiently for the week to end so my little hamlet can squander 20k on a water/power plant for the settlement to use. Until then, there's no plumbing or electricity in the hood. Also, my sims are failing at upholding the four babies per household clause, which was mandatory for those who wished to participate in Corinth's founding. I said MORE BABIES, dangit! ![]() ![]() |

Cornwall and Regan welcomed baby Contessa, named after Regan's mother, of course. Poor kid has a grumpy looking mouth shape and ten nice points, which are going to get her walked all over in Veronaville. Still, she's a cute little blue-eyed blond, well suited for diaper commercials. She's also very shy, serious, and tidy. Cornwall and Regan made good progress in Show Business, and since Regan has a marry off six kids LTW, got a little sibling for Contessa on the way.
Miranda is struggling a little with private school, but doing quite well in Entertainment, and going steady with David Ottomas. Hal and Desdemona have easier classes, but only Hal's gotten as high as an A-. Ariel's learned to walk, talk, and use the toilet. Albany's moving up well through the police ranks, and the feud has been very, very quiet. Goneril lost some skill points on a bad chance card and decided she was okay with another baby: her due date is the same as Regan's. She's in the LS Entertainment career, which is the business side of the Show Business/Entertainment World. |
Thanks cheezypuff
![]() Nice work on the aquarium. Why not upload it here? Here is the hood view of Coral Bay, originally Elsewhere by Plasticbox who has to take all credit. I have tweaked the shoreline in one place, added some buildings and hood deco, that is all. |
I'm three households into the fall in my 'hood. At the Traveller's, Trent and Tina had colds. Tina went upstairs to relax until cured, delaying her departure for college. Trent started eating comfort soup. While he was having his first bowl, his son Zekiel caught it too. Herbert Bigfoot came into the room and two notices popped up - he had both a cold and a flu. Trent's wife Daisy took the younger toddler outside to teach walking and avoid plague tiles. Trent finished his soup and got sick again. He ate the second bowl and a popup said he was cured - and he immediately keeled over, coughing to death. Daisy rushed in and pleaded for his life, saving him. Tina had been on her way downstairs to cry, but headed back to bed, still sick. Instead of resting and recovering while I watched the rest of the household, I think she'd been dancing and getting sicker. The next morning, Tina stayed home from school to watch the toddlers and keep recovering. At about 0900 h, she was finally well, so she called a nanny, packed her bags, and went off to university. Herbert came home with Peter Ottomas and a promotion. Peter spent the afternoon playing with the Traveller's cockatoo while Herbert potty trained Oceana and started teaching her to walk. Zekiel came home from school with River Land, who hung about until after Zekiel's half brother River McCarthy aged to child. The two boys seemed to find having the same name funny, and they joked about it and played while Trent made Zekiel do his homework. Daisy McCarthy is torn on whether or not she wants more children, rolling both wants and fears about babies. The house is small and cozy now, but more kids would make it cramped, and she's starting to enjoy having older children instead of babies. She does want more children though (and 6 grandkids) - River and Oceana are her only two children, but Trent feels he has enough children with the four he's got - Tina from his first marriage, Zekiel through alien abduction, and the two with Daisy.
With my baby/season challenge family, their fall was chaotic. They are up to 13 children now, and none will be going to university until the end of the next season. There are two small bathrooms in the house and an outhouse as well, but those are starting to feel insufficient, especially with the rush as 9 try to get ready for school. Jane and Flannan started resting and meeting their own needs during the day so that they could help all the teens and children who didn't want to do homework for most of the evening and night. They were also trying to teach the youngest two some toddler skills, and near the end of the week they were trying to get Jane pregnant with the winter baby. I think ACR's declining fertility is starting to affect them; it took several try for baby attempts but she finally did get pregnant and simblender says she's expecting 2 (I'll see how many she actually has next rotation). Teens and children not being helped with homework were normally playing catch, painting, or playing with all the teens and children that they brought home from school. Three of the teens have fallen in love with playables in other households, and those relationships will develop further when I'm playing the other, less chaotic lots. The oldest teen is furious with a couple of his siblings for either shower puddles or for clogging the toilet - the others played to build fun, he scrubbed the bathrooms. The family only opened their business selling mined ores once, and with so many sims in the family only two or three customers at a time were showing up. I think their business will have to move to the community lot next door in order to get more customers. I've also added a trailer park challenge lot to my game. The founder must have known about the career restrictions and the need to meet townies - her first wants when I moved her on to her empty lot were to get a job in the slacker or culinary careers and to go downtown. Candy didn't roll any wants for basic necessities like a fridge or toilet - she's a pleasure sim with a family secondary. I built her a trailer and started sending her to different downtown lots to meet people. The lots seemed full of either playable sims or teens, but she did finally meet a sim that she had decent chemistry with. She also made a few friends and got a networking gift tv that she can use. Candy and Morten had a few dates, fell in love, and he moved in, bringing $3000. He was at the top of the athletic career and has a number of odd items in his inventory - they are keeping the hot tub and will sell the rest next summer. Morten quit his job and has taken up painting and fishing. Until the summer yard sale, their main income will be Candy's low level job in the culinary track. Candy got pregnant soon after Morten moved in, and the next afternoon they threw a party with all four of Morten's friends as guests. Very classy - fruit punch and a wedding arch on the lawn, the wedding meal was lunchmeat sandwiches, and there is only one chair on the lot. Candy spent the party trying to become friends with Morten's friends while not leaving the one chair, and Morten played kickybag with anyone not in conversation with Candy. They had their ride in a limo, and that ended their last day of fall. |
Dirk Dreamer's grocery story got to level 4 after a successful business day. Throughout the day Dirk got a bronze restocking badge, a bronze register badge and a gold sales badge. He's still living with his dad and he plans on taking over the house when Darren eventually dies. Dirk's daughter Sascha will move in with them when she becomes a child. She lives with her mother in prison now, but she has to go after she reaches a certain age. Both Darren and Dirk wanted a dog, so they adopted a small adult dog, Dakota. Darren immediately wanted to make friends with her while Dirk looked for a job in the Service career for her. When Dakota got the job, Dirk taught her to shake hands. She needed that to get promoted. Dirk picked up Sascha so they could hang out. Dirk used to visit Sascha as a baby, but he takes her with him to his house since she became a toddler. They became quick (best) friends. Darren got promoted to Warhead Disarmer (Adventure, lvl 7). He wants to become a Space Pirate, so he's well on his way. Darren went to bed because he was exhausted. He's still an old man, after all! Dirk invited Lucy Burb over and she brought along a professor she knew from when she was in college. Dirk hit it off with the professor. Darren woke up and had a lot of fun with Lucy. I was afraid they would start flirting with each other, but it's all safe. For now.

The first wedding - and the first baby on the way in Kipling. 16 singles and there is one wedding after 2 rotations. Somehow, the soldiers don't seem very eager to commit. (Some of them will have too, I need a second generation)!

My founder died! I'm never prepared for when Grim comes, I thought he or his wife might be taken today, but I didn't expect Grim to come so early (five past six), suddenly he was just standing there in the middle of the livingroom. Anyway, Neighbour Neighbour became 80 days old (or... a bit more actually considering the copious amounts of life elixir he and Nina drank as adults) and got a beautiful platinum grave. His son-in-law Ilo, who had just recovered from the death of his sister-in-law Pony, got an aspiration failure once again, as he had just become best friends with Neighbour and feared him dying. And now Ilo's husband Biker and Neighbour's wife Nina aren't long for this world either, poor Ilo (and everybody else) will be devastated. Well, Neighbour died dancing, which was a fitting way for him to end his amazing life. I feel like an era has come to its end, as I count my simming in terms of Before Neighbour and After Neighbour. So thank you Neighbour Neighbour, for sharing this awesome time with me, for helping me explore Freetime, for starting an entire clan with 12 children, 18 grandchildren and, so far, 9 great-grandchildren, for being the sweetest, happiest, danciest sim around and giving me and your fellow sims loads of joy. Pleasantview will never be the same again. Keep on smustlin' in the afterlife.

Sharon Worth surprised me today by trying for a baby with Don Lothario while she was hosting a party. I was quite surprised because she has no family aspiration or a want to have a baby - in fact she feared it in the morning. They weren't successful, but that's okay - they already have one daughter together, and they actually hadn't previously spoken since she was a toddler. The party went well, except Norkio Aspirwas being her usual grumpy self (she's a zombie so she lost all her nice points) and started attacking Hannah Bell. Pauline had to keep her grandma company so she's stop.
In the Heart family, both Matthew and Sarah were working hard to get enough money for a second crib... Maybe even more seeing as Sarah's pregnant again and has a tendency to have twins. The older twins are doing quite well at school, but Love Hart is having trouble. He keeps putting his homework on the desk so it's unreachable and I tend not to notice. Oops. I got him to do all 3 pieces of homework though now so hopefully that'll pull his grades up. Sweet & Sacred learned to walk finally. Artie Goodie had to put off being sent to Strangetown as part of the army. His parents are on the verge of death, and his wife still hasn't come back from University yet. He'll have to raise Abiah, his son for the time being. Unless his sister, Adeline is willing to - although she is also a young parent waiting for her spouce (Isiah Gavigan) to come back from uni. Artie has no idea Sharla might not be coming back, after having an affair in uni resulting in twins - who are currently in the orphanage (still trying to work out a last name for them - narrowed it down to either Gemini or Waters) |
I finally finished the rotation at the boarding house (Jodie Larson, Tyler Traveller & his partner Gerard Landry). Jodie Larson is a terrible mother. She gets ZERO wants concerning her daughter. Tyler & Gerard had a deal with Jodie, back when the girls were still babies, that they would babysit for each other since they all seemed to have different work schedules. In the end, though, it was Gerard who taught Jenna (Jodie's child) how to use the potty and walk. It was Gerard who gave her baths and played with her, even when Jodie was home. He did guilt her into teaching Jenna to talk, but it became abundantly clear that Jodie had no interest in her daughter at all. She works nights in the criminal career and Jenna ends up spending the night with Elara (Tyler's child) more often than not. This is great for Elara. As an only child, she would be lonely without Jenna to play with. Jodie drags in around morning, dead tired, and goes straight to bed. Jenna ends up eating breakfast with Elara's family. Meanwhile, Gerard still has wants to adopt a child. He just keeps rolling them. I think I'm going to have Jodie put up Jenna for adoption and let Gerard adopt her. Elara would love having a full-time sister and Jenna would be taken care of. As for Jodie, she's on birth control to prevent future mishaps and still searching for a rich man to marry.

It was the worst of times and the best of times. Not only had Twelfth love Neighbour's father died just a few hours after Twelfth love had visited his household, within four days he'd also lost his oldest brother/bff as well as his mother. If there was any comfort for a guy with fortune as his second aspiration, inheritance money was stacking up. And things quickly turned around: after work he brought ho e a new colleauge called Robin, and despite the two of them being kind of awkward together, they got along well and became bff's within a few days. That evening, however, another one of Twelfth's bff's, Jessica, invited him to an outing which went well, and at the pool table he met his twin brother's granddaughter Champagne. Both she and said brother's youngest daughter Love thy proceeded to call Twelfth a few times, to the point where he became friends with Love thy. All in all, it was a good time to be a popularity sim.
Wanting to write a novel, 12th made a sequel to his previous one, "Do servos (dream of electric llamas?)", called "They do". It sold okay, not the best-seller he had hoped for. But never mind that, he worked his way up to Legend, thus fulfilling his lifetime wish. Now he wants to make 100 000 simoleons. We can do it. Having just gotten a restaurant coupon, he brought bff's Britta and Robin to eat out with him to celebrate. He then proceeded to write yet another novel called "A Neighbour's memoir" (no place for the last s). It was a bestseller. Some days later, he grew up into an elder. I'm so proud of what he has accomplished. It seems like it was only yesterday he was a timid little teenager! |
It feels like Curtis Darga has been in love with Lucy Burb for ages. He has wanted to marry her since the moment he met her. Even though Lucy was in love with Curtis' best friend Dustin Broke at the time, he never stopped pursuing her. Lucy got a daughter, Lilly, in college with Dustin. Dustin was never committed to Lucy and he never even looked after his own daughter. Curtis wanted Lucy and he'd take Lilly anytime if that meant he could be with Lucy. It did work out. Lucy said yes to his proposal and today is the day they got married. It was just them two, nobody else. They'll both be keeping their own last names, because Lucy didn't want Lilly to have Curtis' last name but it'd be weird if Lilly was the only Burb in their little family. Curtis is a senior in college and is in the Urele-Oresha-Cham fraternity. He has been since his freshman year. Lucy is living in a run-down one-room apartment with her baby daughter. She has enough money to buy a house, but she wants to stay under the radar. Both her and Curtis are evil witches. Lucy has a lot of plans to take care of, but Curtis learned the art of magic because he wanted to be with Lucy. He isn't interested in pursuing magic any further. He never casts spells, so he'll stay at the lowest level of evil magic. Lucy is at the highest level and she is planning on creating a lot of chaos with her best friend and fellow atrociously evil witch Marion Raha.

After finally getting most of my games installed and deciding to play even if I don't have the premade hoods, I made a custom hood and plopped down a sim named Crystal Burns. She spent most of her time creating flower arrangements and painting, hoping to get a little money built up even though she couldn't get a job. A few days went by and she happened to see Amin Sims as well as a couple other guys walking past her house. Feeling lonely, she invited them all in, and since she was a family sim she decided to see if any of them appeared to be a suitable mate. Before long she was best friends with Amin and they soon ended up woohooing on the couch. One of the woohoos resulted in chimes.Crystal was thrilled at the chance to become a mother and soon gave birth to a little boy she named Ryan. Shortly after Ryan's birth, Amin and Crystal got married and Amin moved in with her and Ryan.
As the days went by, Amin commuted out of town to go to work and little Ryan grew more and more. But Crystal was beginning to get bored doing the same old thing, day in and day out. As she was getting the mail one day, Joe Carr happened to walk by. Crystal was alone and bored so she invited him in. She couldn't help but notice how attractive he was, and she could tell that he noticed her as well. Before she could think about what she was doing, they ended up kissing. Before long, they made it an everyday occurance to go on home dates when Ryan was in school and Amin was at work. Ryan's teen birthday came around all too quickly and Crystal finally realized what she was missing in her life. She wanted to have another baby, yet no matter how many times her and Amin had tried over the years since they got married, she hadn't been able to conceive again. Perhaps her fling with Joe was simply her hoping that she would be able to once again carry a child, and since Joe carried the same dark skin, brown hair, and blue eyes as Amin, she could have pulled off telling Amin that Joes child was his If she would happen to get pregnant. But still, no such luck in conceiving. One day, Amin ended up getting fired from work due to a chance card. He came home to catch Crystal and Joe together and immediately got furious. Melissa Fancey had just happened to come home with Amin that day, and so to get back at Crystal, Amin began flirting with Melissa. Melissa, being a Romance sim, went along with Amins advances and they soon ended up in bed together. What neither of them had planned, though, was for Melissa to get pregnant. As soon as Amin found out that he was going to be a father again, he invited Melissa to move in with the family. There was no way that he would allow his child to grow up without him even if he had every intention of trying to fix things with Crystal. Melissa agreed to move in, even though Crystal wasn't thrilled about it, and they made it work the best they could for a few months. Only condtition was that Amin and Melissa were to be completely plutonic from that moment on. However, one night, Crystal walked into Ryan's room to discover Melissa and Amin embraced in a deep kiss. Crystal was furious and had enough. She immediately broke it off with Amin, not caring if he had a place to live or not. She just wanted him out of her life. Amin didn't want his baby to be born homeless so he begged Crystal to allow Melissa to stay until he could get a home built for them and then Melissa and the baby would move out as well. Finally Crystal agreed and Amin walked out. Since Amin was out of the picture, Crystal began seeing Joe Carr again and they soon decided to be married They tried unsuccessfully for a couple months to get pregnant and soon it was time for Melissa's baby to be born. It turned out to be a little girl with all of her father's coloring. Melissa named her Brianna and put her in the crib that Crystal had saved from when Ryan was a baby,, Later that night, Joe and Crystal tried for a baby one more time and finally was able to conceive. They were overjoyed and couldn't wait until they could see their little one. The next morning, though, Crystal woke up with cramping and she knew she had lost the baby she hardly got to carry. Not wanting to wake anybody, she went and cleaned herself up, and then walked into the living room, only to hear Brianna crying uncontrollably in the guest room where she and Melissa was staying. The crying went on and on for five minutes before Crystal decided to see if Melissa needed help. She was shocked to find Melissa's bed made and all of Melissa's belongings gone. Melissa had sneaked away in the night, leaving her newborn daughter without either of her parents. Ryan couldn't believe all of this had happened to his little sister. It had been hard enough on him to know that his father could walk away from him, but for his father to walk away from his little sister, and then she be abandoned by her mother as well, that was simply inexcusable. He went to his mother and asked her if he could raise his sister. He would get a job, teach her everything she needed to know, and if it came down to it, he would even legally adopt her if he needed to. Knowing that she couldn't deny this selfless request from her son, nor turn the baby out on the streets, she agreed and so little Brianna was accepted into the family as one of their own. The family flourished for years, with Brianna growing into a child, being taught all of her toddler skills by her brother. Ryan got a job in Music, commuting out of town since there were no jobs nearby, And Joe and Crystal continued to hope for a child of their own. Finally, their dreams came true and Crystal managed to conceive and carry a baby to term, giving birth to a boy with Joe's coloring named Phillip. Ryan began dating his childhood friend Brittany Parker and soon they went steady and even got engaged. They are waiting until they both turn 18 though before they think about actually getting married. As soon as he was able to, Amin Sims moved into a small two bedroom house next to Crystal's. He called to talk to Ryan and Ryan told Amin about Melissa leaving and about Brianna's birth and plans for her future, Amin didn't want to disrupt a family that was doing well, and so he agreed to the arrangement as long as he would be able to see both Brianna and Ryan at least a couple days a week. Everyone agreed and Amin set out to make his own way in life by starting to work on stock for an electronic store as well as repairing old cars to sell. He also had multiple parties, inviting Ryan, Crystal, Joe, Brianna, and some of his coworkers. It was at one of these parties that Amin realized that he still had very strong feelings for Crystal. He was getting along great with his son, was making progress with his daughter, so now if he could only get back into his ex wife's good graces he could at least be somewhat happy. And so he began talking to her ore and more at the parties, oftentimes ignoring his other guests to do so. Ryan took up the slack at these parties and usually made the party a success by talking and playing around with the other guests, Crystal seemed a bit skeptic at first when Amin began talking to her and showing her so much attention, but she could not deny the strong feelings that she had for him when they first met and through the multiple years that they had been together. And, try as she might, she could not deny that she was still attracted to him to this day. It just seemed natural when they sneaked away from the party to go woohoo in Amin's bedroom and the love between them grew just like it had in the beginning. But Amin knew that Crystal was happy now with Joe, and that he could not interfere, even though he would give almost anything to have his family back together. |
The cult of Grilled Cheese's members have finally earned enough money to add wall and floor coverings to their lot. The outside has brown and orange siding, and those colours continue throughout the house. The cult members also are now wearing assorted outfits in those colours. The cult founder, Alan Coulthurst, married his pregnant girlfriend Cheryl. The other couple on the lot are engaged, but Wolf Paris hasn't rolled a want for marriage yet. The final member of the cult is a single elder; she spends most of her time painting pictures of grilled cheese. The front room of the cult's hall has been turned into a sandwich shop, selling individual grilled cheese. Visitors are also invited in for meals, to listen to music about grilled cheese, to watch cooking shows, and to play games and socialize with cult members. The cult loves talking about their cheese passion, but few visitors are interested in listening to them for long. They normally just buy themselves a bit of food, play a game, and then quickly escape from the boring talk about sandwiches. The cult members, though, are all in a pretty good mood - even if their visitors aren't interested, they can still talk to each other about the wonders of Grilled Cheese. Only two members of the household have outside jobs - the rest spent a lot of time making and selling sandwiches. Cheryl gave birth to a boy near the end of fall, and she and Alan have named him Basil. His nursery is an eye-popping bright orange, and as he grows he'll be surrounded by cooking toys (and obsessed adults - he's not going to have any food at home other than sandwiches unless he makes himself muffins).
The poultry farm had a successful fall. The family's dog had a litter of four puppies which were put up for adoption (the pool was short on puppies). The third child aged to teen on Friday afternoon, so there were three teens able to help in the shop over the weekend. The oldest teen, Tuck, had a couple of dates with a townie. Sue spent a fair bit of time on the phone trying to build a relationship with one of the neighbouring farm teens, but they didn't get together in person this week. New teen Chris is a family/pleasure sim, and he wants to have a first kiss but isn't sure who to kiss. He did try to kiss one of the shop's customers, but got rejected and the shop lost a star - his mother, Tara, told him to work the cash register in hopes of avoiding further inappropriate behaviour. The fourth child, Anne, felt a bit lonely after Chris aged up - he was no longer interested in the same toys and games that he used to play with her. She took to talking with the family's bird in the evenings, but Chris did help her with her homework in the afternoons. The father, Christopher, rolled a couple of odd fears - he feared falling out of love with Jane, a crush from university that he doesn't love. Jane then walked by the lot; she's very pregnant. Christopher talked to her for a bit, and rubbed her belly - he then rerolled his fears and lost the fear of falling out of love with her but gained a fear of being chased by her. That fear disappeared when he next woke up, but I'm keeping an eye out for other potential problem wants and fears. The Ottomas household was challenging this rotation. Sharla has left for university, both parents are elders and were at the mid level positions in their careers, and there are four teens, a child, and a dog still in the house. Tommy and his younger sister Lisa spent a lot of time together; both are knowledge/fortune sims with a high interest in science. Tommy was abducted by aliens and returned unchanged. Lisa was abducted last rotation and came home with a new personality - she's a very serious, shy slob now, but her school performance and relationship with her boyfriend has improved as a result of the changes. Tommy had one bad day at the start of the fall - he was exhausted after work with no fun at all but low hunger was a bigger concern. He got caught in a low needs cycle of too tired to eat and too hungry to sleep before I noticed the problem - I got him to get leftovers and took away the chairs so he'd eat. He managed to get to bed without passing out, but then woke with low bladder, hygiene, and fun. Bladder and hygiene were easy to deal with, and Lisa played red hands with him a couple of times, but Tommy then had to do homework. He finished it before school, but needed more games of red hands before the carpool arrived for work. Of the twins, Jeff is a pleasure/romance sim and George is knowledge/romance. George started the season by starting to show his pregnancy by aliens, making his parents furious with him (and with the alien that impregnated him). George's motives were low most of the fall, and his attempts to interact with his parents mostly failed. Jeff was even more miserable, but that was because Samantha started insisting he do his homework each night after his grades had dropped and he lost his scholarship (harder homework is really hard for Jeff). Jeff also kept rolling hard to fill wants, so his aspiration meter is very low. Child Carly started making friends with kids from school. Other than by George, Carly was mostly overlooked by the rest of the family this fall. George took time to play with her and help her with homework while he waited for the alien baby to be born. When the baby arrived, George and his parents were the only ones home. Peter and Samantha were still mad at George, but the birth filled the wants they had to become grandparents. Peter immediately rolled wants for relatives to get engaged and married, while Samantha rolled a want for 20 grandkids and to retire. I think she wants to stay around to care for the baby, so she retired. Peter then got fired following a bad chance card that afternoon, leaving Tommy and Lisa the only two employed sims in the household. Tommy and Lisa both made it to the top of their teen careers, filling scholarship wants. As for the baby, he was well cared for despite not being very wanted - and by the time he turned to a toddler on the last day of fall, both Peter and Samantha were friends with him and rolled wants to teach him skills. While he was having his birthday, Tommy and Lisa were in the back yard taking turns using the telescope and stargazing on the grass. As I was watching Peter potty train his grandson, I missed seeing Tommy get hit by a satellite (I don't know how I didn't notice the grim reaper, but I did and there was no chance to plead for his life). Lisa was devastated, and she rolled a want to resurrect her brother - that's been locked and will be a focus for hers for a while. The rest of the family also had a hard time getting through the evening, as they kept stopping to cry. I had kind of wanted the drama of a death in this family, but Tommy wasn't the one I hoped would go - I'd been considering having Peter die in a workplace accident, but he got fired the day I was going to kill him. Then I thought about having George either not survive the pregnancy, or having him run away/move out before the baby came, but I ended up just leaving him. Jeff was also considered, but attempts to get him to set fire to the kitchen just ended in burnt food. I hadn't even thought about killing any of them with a satellite, and Tommy hadn't been stargazing for long when he was hit. |
My subhood of Owl Beach is getting a new Children's Museum on a beach lot. The builder is a masochist, apparently. The first floor covers geology, art, make-believe and computer games (technology). The second is a mini-aquarium. I finished both floors. Next will be some animal exhibits outside. The pirate ship is in the back (whoever advised me that if I was that worried about the Captain showing up, just don't ever enter the cabin ... thank you! Sometimes, the obvious eludes me.) And after I package the place, I'll stick in a food stand. Tourists need to eat!
This will either work splendidly and I'll be using it again and again, or bomb spectacularly and crash left, right and center. I have no idea which. I have to make sure to indicate it's on a flat lot before I package it, though; otherwise, there might be some trouble using it in the future. ![]() EDIT ... Yay! It didn't crash, and routing was fine. But it needs a whole lot of tweaking. That's to be expected for me. ![]() |
Kent Capp, being alien pregnant, moved to Strangetown. Jenny Smith came by to welcome him, and they chatted about babies, particularly alien babies, and Kent found out the baby was why he couldn't stand the smell of meat. Well, then. He's a good cook: it irked him to be craving only cold cereal and salads. But if it's the baby, he could live with that. He's not interested in joining the alien cult, though Jenny assured him that they would help him out with anything he needs. He's got a nice trailer, thanks to Capp family money, and a bank balance of $10,000, and he'll be teaching at the local high school.
He gave birth to Erland on Friday, a blond haired, green skinned, black-eyed baby boy, and fell in love immediately. Then he wanted to eat a hamburger and buy baby equipment, so he did. (When sims' wants match your ideas about the game!) Hired a nanny to start Monday, called up all his friends, starting with Bianca Monty, to tell them about the baby. He's primed for promotion when he next goes in to work, and he feels that life in Strangetown isn't bad at all, though he'd like to meet a few more neighbors, stargaze with his telescope (if the aliens would like Erland to have a sibling he'll be on board), and someday, have a first kiss, if, you know, he ever meets the right sim. |
The Roth's are beginning to seperate. Morty cheated while on holiday a few years ago, and while they've made up, things have never really been the same. They both put more into their work since the cheating, so neither is financially responsible for the other. They both make quite a lot of money to survive on. They decided it would be best if they both moved out and left the house to their son Xander. Kayla (their youngest daughter) still lives there. She's a teen but they decided not to leave her on her own, so they're waiting for Xander to finish college before Morty goes off to Strangetown to peruse an adventure and Stella to Belladonna Cove to live luxuriously and be a socialite.
Daisy Greenman continues to prove she can be a single mother, carry a job and a home business...oh and a garden! She has it all. Little Maryweather became a child. She looks like her father (Victor Aspir), although everyone thinks she's Daisy's ex-husband (Malcom Landgraab IV) child. Linda-Elena Martin-Goldstein (daughter of Andrew Martin and Betty Holstein) is failing school. Her stack of Homework is just getting so high and she doesn't even want to do it. She fears going to school, I mean what's the point if she's not smart enough to go to college? She feels so frustrated, she can't wait to be an adult and just tend to her farm. Last household I played today (but annoyingly, second to last in my Riverblossom rotation. Grr) was the McGreggor family. Moira was the main focus of the day, as she desperately had to learn to potty train before becoming a child. Luckily she managed, thanks to her older brother Llion putting her on the potty just before she grew up. |
The local region surrounding Rematra is getting a overhaul. I am trying to accomplish making the hood and subhoods resemble towns instead of random buildings everywhere.
Rematra is mostly mid income with Agricultural and Horticultural industries. Dryis is mostly Dirty Manufacturing and some Technology Industries alongside a mix of Poor and Rich Sims. Faluuan... Faullan... Faulaan... I can't even spell a Word I made correctly will be Commercial with poor and rich sims. |

Just started a new legacy, with Walter Travino as my founder. He's in the culinary career track (only fitting, as his hobby is cuisine) he's a family Sim that rolled romance as his secondary... (great) So far, he's torn (as am I) between two potential mates... don't ask me their names, cause I will never be able to remember lol. He's gone on dates with them both.. both two bolts, and has a want to get engaged to both of them (as well as a fear of getting rejected for engagement) I'm just going to hold out until he really shows more interest in one.. Orr another girl haha. I have a question for other legacy players. I have this beautiful neighborhood he's in, filled with houses and lots, but he's the only one in my neighborhood at the moment.. Does anybody move in other families, or how do you go about that? Just feel's weird that it's just him... Lol.

A lot has happened today so instead of taking up the whole page I put each household behind spoiler tags.

A quick visit to the Adoption household had Hugh Christian (from Flora Marshalls and her husband) grow to a toddler, and is an average motivation sim. Likewise, twins Dillon & Otto Bush (from Don Marshalls and a random townie) became toddlers and were also average motivation.
Emily Wegner's alien triplets moved in at the end of the rotation (after a bit of wrangling getting the above three aged up correctly). -- In the Vanderpol household, Trevor got promoted up to Blockbuster Director (Show Business level 9), and Daniella to Master of Ceremonies (Entertainment level 8). Trevor, being a high motivation sim, he easily skilled up to get another promotion, landing him as an Icon. This potentially pushes them up in terms of household income. August went on a skilling binge, managing to get to level 8 (and thus the related scholarships) before heading off to university. Younger (half) brother Raymond turned teen. He rolled Fortune/Knowledge, and he seriously still looks like a clone of his father. It'll be a debate for household heir between August and Raymond. -- At the Kraemer household, twins Lexi and Cassie grew up. Lexi rolled Fortune/Romance and the LTW to get to the top of the Journalism career, while Cassie rolled Knowledge/Romance and the LTW to get to the top of the Science career. That'll be interesting as Science needs a Doctorate for the highest levels and the Kraemer household doesn't exactly have that much money. Rebekah headed to college, getting just the good grades scholarship. She doesn't need to go, with a LTW to top Law Enforcement, but she is a knowledge sim and her boyfriend is also at uni. In contrast, Maya managed to snag a high logic scholarship as well as the one for good grades. A LTW to woohoo 20 sims means college will be quite useful. On the adult side, Kevin got promoted to Power Leveller (Gamer level 7), and then promoted again via chance card to Real Time Strategizer (level 8). Scarlett got promoted up to Cartoon Voice (Show Business level 5). Another twin birthday, with Leanne and Noah growing up at the end of the rotation. Leanne rolled double Fortune, Noah Fortune/Romance. LTWs are still to be decided, but Leanne does have Nathen Lyndhurst on her top 5 list... Rounding off the rotation, Jessica and Trevor have 1 day before they head off to university, Ashleigh 2 days and James 3 days. The youngest, Anthony, is still 3 days away from becoming a teen. -- At the Lyndhurst household the only thing of note was Luke heading off to university on Wednesday. Charlottte is 1 day away from going to university, and the triplets Adam, Elizabeth, and Nathen are three days away. Adam is probably the house heir, unless the relationship between Nathen and Leanne Kraemer really grows on me. But then, there is a not insignificant age difference between them. |

@Kankritty
I had the same thing while playing my B&B. |
At the Tri-Var sorority, Martin Ruben proposed to Christy Chin and she said yes. A lot of the girls are getting engaged these days. They've all been ready to settle down with one person. Zoe Zimmerman was put on academic probation in her sophomore year because she was spending more time on creating and maintaining friendships than on the actual studying. The other 8 girls have been doing good so far, except Tiffany Sampson who had a glitch. She couldn't go to class or her final exam, except if I sent her more towards the end of it. It was really annoying, but that glitch has been solved miraculously and now everything is going great.
Zoe finished her term paper, so she made sure she wouldn't get kicked out of college. At least not this semester. Jasmine wanted to do something fun for once, so she called the matchmaker and she paid her 5.000 simoleans to set her up with a blind date. She better hopes the rest of the house won't be mad at her for throwing away their funds. She got a teen paperboy as her blind date. I was amused, but she couldn't even roll any romantic wants for him (since she's a YA), so it was kind of pointless. They got along really well, though. They even ended up to be friends which was good for the stats of the sorority. Too bad he is a bit too young, still. I went to look at their token stats and Jasmine is 26 and Brady is 12. Maybe the matchmaker should have thought about that a bit more. The date ended greatly and I was pretty grossed out when they kissed each other at the end of it. Brady got his first kiss from a 26-year-old woman. They started crushing on each other as well. Ugh. Whitney King (current president) got an A+ to finish off her sophomore year. Same thing goes for Madeleine and she got automatically assigned a Philosophy major. I feel like Madeleine is going to be the next president, because she's friends with seven of the other girls in the house. No one can top that. Nerissa Pearson came back with an A+ and a Philosophy major. Whitney wanted to finish her term paper, so she did and got a good dent into her school work already. She'll need it when I will only control Madeleine next rotation. It's going to be weird, because Whitney was my main sim since Kay Starchild (Fong) graduated. Beau Broke went to the Campus Boutiques to buy some new clothes, since his shorts were a bit too cold for winter. I use ROS challenges and I had to give Beau a haircut I didn't like for five days, so he's looking a bit stupid now. At the boutiques he met Jordan LeTourneau (Tri-Var sorority sister). He thought she was cute, so he asked her out on a date and they had a lot of fun together. They ended it with a kiss. Jordan developed a huge crush on this guy who came out of seemingly nowhere. No one had ever showed that much of an interest in her, so she felt extremely flattered. She didn't know Beau had 4/5 lovers at that point in time, though. There is this professor called Ralph Rodiek. He turns up EVERYWHERE. So, he was at the boutiques and he kept irritating and poking Jordan. I do remember them not getting along well, but I didn't know it was this bad. Ralph shows up at people's houses and rings their doorbell as well. He didn't even know Beau and he still rang his doorbell. Go away, old man. Nobody cares. Back home, professor Ralph Rodiek immediately came and rang the doorbell. What??? Did he follow Beau home? That's so weird. Obviously Beau didn't greet him, because the professor had tried to insult him earlier. A little bit later Beau didn't feel like making his own dinner, so he invited Trista Larrea on a date. They didn't really know each other, but it didn't matter. Beau influenced Trista to make dinner, but she was utterly incompetent and tried to make a dinner with fish while there wasn't any fish in the fridge so Beau had to go and do it himself anyway. They ended up eating hamburgers. It was a good date, but when Beau tried to kiss her goodbye, she pushed him away and left. Oh well... The rest of the night was filled with painting. Trista brought a stereo as a gift for the good date. Apparently, she can't make up her mind either. Another day, Beau went to the hobby lot for Arts and Crafts. He did some pottery and drafted some blueprints. He went to meet other people who were as passionate about the arts as he was. There were quite a lot of them. He met a woman called Demi Louie there. She had her first kiss on the lot with Ricky Turner who is a college student. The women there were obsessed with talking through teddy bears to Beau. Is this some kind of new flirting technique I didn't hear about? After spending the day there, Beau asked Jordan to come over again. She is probably the first girl he actually rolled a want for to become best friends. I thought that was a good indication of him wanting to go on another date. This time Beau actually developed a crush too. During the date Jordan rolled a want to ask Beau to pledge the greek house. Sorry Jordan, but I think he'd be the odd one out, it being a sorority and all. Of course, professor Ralph Rodiek was staring at them creepily from the front porch. Perfect date. After the date ended, they woohooed on a bed that I randomly put outside. There was no room inside the house for a bigger bed. It was snowing too. They could have woohooed on the bench outside, like Beau normally does but he specifically rolled a want to woohoo on a bed. *Sigh* So needy. Beau had a final exam in the middle of the night, so he kept painting until he had to go. He got back with a B and became a junior. He'll need to finish that painting and sell it to be able to live, because he barely has enough money to pay for his college tuition. Beau won a medium lottery prize of 1.000 simoleans, so he's really lucky considering his tuition fee and all. He finally became best friends with Jordan after calling her on the phone. Kelly McGaw called and asked Beau out on a date downtown. He agreed, but it's getting harder and harder to avoid all of the other lovers he has. I honestly don't know what happened, but when they arrived at their destination Kelly wasn't accepting any interaction from Beau and they stopped being best friends. As far as I know, she hasn't seen him with anyone else so I honestly don't get what happened. She asked him out on a date, they arrive and she's mad. Weird. So I made her selectable and she doesn't have a memory of him doing anything wrong either. On the community lot, he rolled wants for Jordan so I made him call Jordan via his cellphone and she came to the park where they hung out. It doesn't happen very often for me that a sim rolls a want for a specific person, so I loved that he suddenly rolled wants for Jordan and kept rolling them. So much so that they actually fell in love with each other. When Beau came home, he was called by Whitney. She said she heard from Jordan she was having a lot of fun with him and she wanted to know if he'd like to hang out with her and some of her friends. He doesn't say no to a fun social outing. On the outing were Whitney King, Jordan LeTourneau, Meadow Thayer (three sorority sisters), Kay Starchild (Fong), Corey Alioto (fellow student) and Regina Collins (adult). On the outing Corey started hitting on Whitney and I was sitting there like: No. Don't you dare. Shit. Another engagement ruined. Luckily, it only happened once. The damage is done, though. Both developed crushes. I wonder what kind of impact this will have on Whitney. I worked out a new way to elect someone for presidency within my greek houses. Tri-Var sorority will elect a new president every single year based upon the person that has the most friends in the sorority. This may be the same person. The presidency for the fraternity is up until you graduate. The old president (the one that graduates) will elect someone else to become the new president based upon the highest relationship score (or my personal favourite). Nobody can go against this. I really like this way, because I only play the president within a greek house. The other ones I go through selectively. It's too much work to play 9 sims at the same time. I don't like most guys in the fraternity, so it's good enough to play one guy. The girls in the sorority I REALLY like, so it's good to be able to cycle through them and get to know some of them better. At the Urele-Oresha-Cham fraternity I remodeled one of the rooms to be the bedroom for the current president which is Curtis Darga, former llama mascot and ex-best friend of the last president, Dustin Broke. It's the only room with a bigger bed and more decorations. He also has a little balcony to stand upon. William Williamson rolled the want to fall in love with sorority sister Madeleine. They've been best friends for a little bit now. So, he invited her over and I didn't have to do anything. They went straight to the hot tub to make out. But when he fell in love, he rolled the want to have two loves at once. Really, William? You're one of those? Curtis and William wanted some garden plots and a tree, so they built a greenhouse and now they have tomato plants. Curtis is mostly the one taking care of it and he has gotten a bronze gardening badge for it. Jared Starchild has finished his third semester with a B. He's making good progress. I hope he's going to roll wants to skill or to not fail his next exam, because he doesn't have enough skills to get a good grade. He's still just a sophomore and his wife Kay Starchild is waiting at home with their baby son, Samuel, for him to graduate. Jonah became a junior with a C+. I honestly thought he was going to get put on academic probation, but he was lucky. This time. William took care of watering the plants while Curtis bootycalled his wife Lucy Burb. Curtis invited over Meadow Thayer who is his best girl friend. She was telling him a joke he didn't find particularly funny when he leaned forward and kissed her. This is how their affair started. After four months Curtis said this couldn't go on like this. Meadow didn't like it, but she agreed to it. They stayed friends. Lucy could never know about this. Her wrath was not something Curtis looked forward to. Curtis and William had been working all morning in the greenhouse when Curtis had to go off to his exam and William had to take care of the tomato plants all on his own. He did get a bronze gardening badge then. Curtis finished his seventh semester with an A+. He has one more semester left to go and then he can join his wife in her one-room apartment. Mitch Indie moved into the fraternity. The only pledge left is Guy Wrightley, but Mitch has Max Flexor as a friend so he'll be able to encourage him to pledge at the best (and only) fraternity at SSU. |
Very eventful play session last night.
Over in the Reamon household, nothing but good news. Juan got his wish. Kandis became pregnant with their second child right after Julian aged into a toddler. Plus, Juan got a chance card, and got himself a $30,000 pay bonus. The growing family will be leaving their apartment this week, to find their first home. My other household, the Chadwicks, consists of twins Danny (Romance) and Mandi (Fortune). They are sharing an apartment while they start their lives as adults. Danny has had great luck with his woohoo conquests (what luck that his turn on is red heads and 4 of them moved into the complex!). But Mandi...poor Mandi. She went on a blind date with a townie called Dorian. They argued the entire time and the date ended with an attack, with Mandi as the victor. Then, she spied Troy Chalmers. Before I knew it, ACR had them woohooing in a photobooth and Mandi was pregnant. The next day, she discovered the TV was busted. Not one to waste money on a repairman, she took it upon herself to fix it. She electrocuted herself and suffered a miscarriage. ![]() Today's session will see the arrival of the third family in the neighbourhood, a young married couple, The Jacobs. |
The Carr household is nothing if not hectic. Ryan and Brittany graduated college and moved back into the family home. First thing they did was woohoo and get pregnant which resulted in another set of twin girls they named Samantha and Tiffany. Brianna aged into a teen and ACR kicked in one day while Crystal was out jogging and Brianna ended up sharing her first kiss and woohoo with Joe.....and ending up pregnant with a boy she named Byron. The family then had to move into a bigger home (BV Mansion) and Brittany got pregnant yet again, followed a couple hours later by Crystal (finally). Annamarie and Syndil started dating Chandler Platz and Orlando Bertino respectively, and Brianna ended up dating Phillip when he grew into a teen. Brittany eventually gave birth to triplets, two boys and a girl named Andrew, Asher, and Heather. A couple hours later, Crystal gave birth to twin boys, Jaymz and Liam. That makes five infants born within a couple hours of each other.
It only became more hectic when the babies became toddlers. Joe aged into an elder and Brittany continued to work on her want for ten children and got pregnant yet again with at least twins (This woman is apparently VERY fertile). With the help of a bit of maxmotives and smart milk, all the toddlers have learned all their skills except for potty training which they will try to conquer next. When I left them, Joe was an elder, Crystal, Ryan, Brittany, and Brianna were adults. Phillip, Annamarie, Syndil, Samantha, and Tiffany were teens, Byron was a child, and Andrew, Asher, Heather, Jaymz, and Liam were toddlers. So that makes 16 people in one house and then at least two on their way. I think I am going to enjoy playing the Shahan family next as there is just four in that family so far. |
The Newson house was crowded for the fall. Gavin and Ginger's husband, Laurie Poireau, came back from university and brought Ginger's triplet toddlers with them. Already living in the house were Gallagher, Gabriella, Georgia, Garret, Ginger's older daughter Lauren, and Pepper the adopted stray dog. The teens spent most of the fall having group outings and dates while the adults alternated between caring for toddlers and trying to find jobs. Laurie wants to be a chef, and he managed to find a job in the culinary career track, but Gavin has been unable to find his dream job. Right now, he's working in pest control and spending his limited spare time working on a flower arranging badge. Lauren barely knows her father, and isn't too happy with him - she spent more time on the phone with Ginger than with Laurie, even considering the time he spent helping her with homework. She seems to like her little brother Lewis, though, and autonomously played with him a fair bit. There is only one bathroom in the house, so keeping everyone bathed was challenging, especially since all the hobbies seem to make them dirty. Gabriella kept jogging, Georgia and Lauren played soccer together several times, and all of the teens were working on restoring a car. At the end of the fall, Laurie moved into a new house with his children, and Gabriella and Gallagher will be starting university at the start of winter - the house will feel empty with only three in it.
My fishing/ecology family had a few new things for me to get used to. Their youngest teen, Rose, was turned into a vampire over the summer vacation, and I wasn't sure how to deal with school once fall began. The main house is right at the back of a 3x5 lot, and when she crosses it in daylight I was surprised by how bad of a motive hit she took. I built a small shed near the mailbox for her to use as a resting area for the time between sun-up and the bus's arrival, and that seemed to keep her in good shape. She returns to the shed as she gets home and naps until sun-down. Her twin brother Harold was given a random task for the fall - making leaf piles and burning them. This family normally composts everything so it's a bit out of character for them, but the lot has a lot of trees so there was plenty for him to burn. I was surprised that the fire only spread once - Harold panicked, but Rose was using the telescope at the time and she's read fire safety and easily put out the fire before it spread beyond the one tree. Harold's alien daughter, Diana, aged to toddler, and Harold helped a bit with teaching her skills but most of her care was done by her grandfather Henry and uncle Grady. They both rolled wants to play with her and Henry rolled wants to teach her skills. She's best friends with all three of them, but closest to her grandfather. Harold, aside from being busy burning leaves, was rolling wants to sneak out and have dates with one of the girls in the mining family. The middle set of twins, Michael and Grady, also had a couple of dates in the fall but spent more time getting ready for university. Both have scholarships for entrepreneurship, academics, athletics, and fishing, and Grady also has a scholarship for alien reparation and for logic skill. Grady's alien daughter, Athena, aged to child, and he's very close with her. He took her on an outing with his girlfriend and was relieved to see that they got on well together. Grady will be attending university with his townie girlfriend and his daughter will be staying with her grandparents. Like her cousin Diana, Athena has a close relationship with Grandpa Henry. Michael started going steady with Georgia Newson, and is going to miss her during the winter - she's not old enough for university yet. I also played the four couples that just moved from the university to my fishing lodge apartments. This apartment building is basically a cabin with a common kitchen (with dorm cook), a seating area, and both a men's and women's bathroom. Three of the apartments are 4x5 and one is 5x5 (I think - they fit beds and a little bit more). The couples that have moved in are mostly on good terms with each other, though Erik Swain and Isha Besson have a touchy history, and Jacquette Colt didn't know everyone when she moved in. It was really interesting watching all the residents I wasn't playing wander about the lot - they did some fishing, couples flirted a lot, and the leader of the cult of Grilled Cheese kept visiting and then getting into fights with Isha and Erik - three way hatred. I think the cult leader was coming by because he's enemies with Erik and best friends with Arnold Colt (another resident). Alan kept walking by during the night and kicking over the trash can, and then he'd walk by a while later and stop to spray roaches - nice vandal. The lot was always a mess - it's a cabin in the woods, and the landlord felt he needed to rake the forest. Fine. But he'd get distracted while disposing of the leaf piles and drop the bag so there were little piles of garbage scattered about. Sometimes he'd get them cleaned up before leaving for the night, and sometimes there were roaches when he came back in the morning. I've played this lot in the fall before, and I don't remember the landlord dropping garbage like that. I also don't recall the apartment residents being such stinky slobs, but this rotation the residents were using the Bon Voyage axe throwing set until they stank and they were also having bladder failure in the kitchen - dormies are cleaner than this group. Bessons: Eva wants to join the SCIA, but hasn't found a job opening yet. Until she gets one, she's working in the law career. Her husband wants to be a criminal mastermind, but he's working in agriculture. Isha's got a history of alcohol problems and loves cc beer. He drinks autonomously whenever he wants (I don't cancel it) and has a beer after work. So far, the effect has mostly been to hit on his wife, but he's also attacked his best friend Maik Swain, proposed marriage to Arnold Colt (their relationship was about 10 before the proposal, and both are straight), and flirted with the dorm cook. Eva only drinks occasionally (as in, before I can cancel the action), and she mostly wants to have career success. Isha got his hands on a magic lamp (left for a neighbour) and got a bit of money from it before Eva discovered it and gave it to it's rightful owner (Maik). Swain: Maik wants to be a criminal too, but he also likes fishing. He's working in the oceanography career for now, and Erik was in the career with him until he found an opening in architecture. Maik kept rolling wants to ask someone on dates and to see ghosts, so he and his husband had a couple of dates in graveyards. The dates went well, but nobody was scared even when two or three ghosts were out. Maik is a Tricou, and is considering resurrecting his ancestors, but he and Erik need to get more money first. If I do decide to have Maik (Orion Teens) resurrect them, I'll have him "steal" the paranormal career reward from the cult of Grilled Cheese once he's at level 6 or 7 (cat burglar?) of the criminal career. Erik wants to move to a bigger house and get some pets, but they'll be in the small apartment for at least another season. Cordier/Warbulton: Mariona Cordier is the only one in the apartments that is currently employed as a criminal. Her fiance is a corrupt politician (he wants friends and money, and doesn't care about the career track). There is currently little risk of Mariona ending up in jail, as my town's only law enforcement officer just retired and my prison currently lacks a warden. However, if she gets caught (bad chance card or random event dice roll for bad work event), the resulting scandal will force Andrew to leave politics. They both had a couple of good chance cards worth $20 000 and $40 000; between those and their promotion bonuses, they have enough for a decent house and will likely move out of the apartment in the winter. Colts: Jacquette was pregnant when she and Arnold graduated, and both wanted to get married. This family is the only one in the apartment not involved in crime, and they are the nicest, neatest, and most serious of all the sims in the building. One wants six grandkids, and the other wants to max all skills, and without career wants I either have sims fill employee positions, start businesses, or take custom careers that come up on the computer. Arnold is now in training to be a vicar, and Jacquette is learning to make toys while she's pregnant (she has high interest in toys already). They will likely run an orphanage/boarding school at home and build a community lot church. They are quite poor compared to the other families in the apartments, and will have to take on a fairly large mortgage to build their home. For now, they are in the largest apartment with their new daughter, Ruth. Arnold wants to stay in the apartment until after they've saved more money, but Jacquette has lower relationships with the neighbours and after seeing Mariona in the burglar suit she wants to move. |
