I'm glad you've gotten good news about your grandmother, PixCii. I know from experience that it's rough worrying and waiting for information. *hugs*

Zela 18th Dec 2009 10:01 AM

Getting a C for my drama performance! Someone in my year got a U, and others in the group who are far better at drama got a F! I'm so happy!

cupcake12winx 18th Dec 2009 10:03 AM

Finally spending more than 20 minutes with my friend.

DollyRot 18th Dec 2009 11:06 AM

Going out to my other half's christmas do. I feel pretty in my new heels.

Rabid 19th Dec 2009 3:13 PM

Six inches of snow overnight and having a snowball fight with my dad while we shoveled the driveway. I love winter.

innocenteyes 20th Dec 2009 3:36 PM

That my computer is working again!!

Dreamydre 20th Dec 2009 5:41 PM

My mom and I talked my dad into the Hawaii vacation for Spring Break. SOOO HAPPYYY!!! I am made of win :D

We went to Belgium over Summer and my uncle was talking about vacationing in Hawaii for the Spring and my dad was all like "I have to think about it". We're like, are you kidding its FREAKIN HAWAII DUDE

meggie272 21st Dec 2009 11:23 AM

^^ HAWAII!????!!!?!???!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??

Hem. Nuff said. Congrats

My absolutely awesome friend giving me this excellent picture she drew. It's of two people huggling and the guy's got wings and he's kind of wrapping them around her. Hard to explain, and sounds hopelessly Twilight fanartish. But it really is cool. I want to scan it and do terrible, terrible things to it in Photoshop.

lethifold 21st Dec 2009 11:23 AM

Mum's getting back tomorrow, and then I'm going to the pool with about 15 friends :D

Such a gorgeous movie, and the books are great, too.

Dreamydre 24th Dec 2009 12:30 AM

My Aunt tripping over the "reindeer" in the front yard, then cursing at it I love her, my parents say that I take a lot from her, and its really true. She's so down-to-earth and I guess we get along more because she's close to my age (23).

My puppy is back from the vet. He's healthy and quite stoned at the moment. It's so cute, the vet tech decorated his bandage with a holly spring design cut out of green and red self-adhering bandages.

John Keats is one of my favorite poets, second only to Pablo Neruda. Did you stay through the credits? If you didn't, you missed a wonderful reading of Ode to a Nightingale. The soundtrack is lovely, too.

I went shopping and got a pair of expensive jeans on sale, which always makes me happy. What's more, the cashier told me something interesting; my size is a 4 long, and he said that when pants go on sale, longs and shorts tend to get marked down more because they're uncommon sizes.

minus. 29th Dec 2009 9:24 PM

Going to the theatre and seeing All's Well That Ends Well.

Dreamydre 30th Dec 2009 12:04 AM

My mommy had one of those ancestry tests done for her and my dad, and I found out that one of my paternal great great great grandfathers was West African. Sosososo interesting. She even have the correct percentages.

I am :

- Irish
- Portuguese
- German
- 3% Cherokee Indian (surprised me)
- 3% African (surprised me even more, I'm black!!)

So I'm just gonna go around telling people that I am black since I have black ancestry, lol. I just thought this was interesting =p

Oh, that was such a beautiful reading. My mother tried to get me to leave, but I convinced her to stay the full length of the credits.

candiiee 1st Jan 2010 4:46 PM

Persuading my mum to let me go back to school. I never thought I'd see the day that I actually wanted to get back to that place, but when you're at home all day doing next to nothing it does things to you. (I was up until 4am last night because I was convinced there was someone besides me, mum and my sister in the house. Turned out to be the dog, though.)

PharaohHound 8th Jan 2010 10:47 PM

I was missing my brother's subscription to American Cinematographer Magazine (yes, I'm a geek), I wanted to see the articles on Avatar, but it turns out he got an e-copy of it :D

Rabid 10th Jan 2010 10:47 PM

Getting a letter from Stanford University trying to encourage me to go to college there. I was so excited that I showed it to everyone in my house .

Wow, congratulations! I want to get into Princeton, I just hope my 3.6 GPA is enough to get me in. Next year is my last year, hopefully I can push it to a 4.0 =p

PharaohHound 11th Jan 2010 1:19 AM

Saw my brother's interview on TV. He was very well-spoken and knowledgeable (I'm proud of him, in a sibling-ish way), and gave me credit where I deserved it.

DollyRot 11th Jan 2010 12:31 PM

The mosh pit for The Yeah Yeah Yeahs @ Southbound. Karen O is absolutely amazing.

lethifold 11th Jan 2010 12:33 PM

^You went to see The Yeah Yeah Yeahs?! So jealous!

DollyRot 11th Jan 2010 1:37 PM

^ Yes. and it was absolutely BRILLIANT. They had a huge blue sequinned spiral as their backdrop and half way through they started throwing these giant blow up eyeballs around the crowd. Karen changed costumes like 4 times, I swear, she caught my eye and we had a moment

Possibly the greatest time of my life thus far : D

lethifold 11th Jan 2010 1:52 PM

^Guh, I hate you right now .

What made my day is realizing that there is a week and a half until I go to see Joanna Newsom's concert :D

Calline 11th Jan 2010 2:19 PM

Got my Lit exam over with, phew. :p

PharaohHound 13th Jan 2010 8:30 PM

Great hair-day :D

DollyRot 15th Jan 2010 6:00 AM

I've lost 8lbs and I'm steadily approaching my weightloss goal.

A now, I'm off for another 30 minutes on my excerise bike in front of E's Remarkable Body Bouncebacks. (Very fitting )

Dreamydre 15th Jan 2010 7:47 AM

So my dad's fiancée is having a baby girl. I think its official that my dad CAN NOT PRODUCE BOYS. lol

We all knew it was coming though, he wanted a son but of course we don't really care what the gender is. Long as she has 10 fingers and 10 toes and is healthy. I'm fine with it ;-)

DollyRot 15th Jan 2010 12:34 PM

Just got given a Olympus om20 SLR camera with a 1:3.5-5.3 mc macro focusing zoom lens. HOLY CRAP :D

(It's not that expensive but its so pretty!)

Phoeberg 15th Jan 2010 1:13 PM

A textbook I've been waiting for since September has FINALLY arrived!! Unfortunately an hour before the class I need it for, but I've spent half the year without it so I guess one more class won't hurt.

Rabid 15th Jan 2010 11:42 PM

I bought a pair of jeans at American Eagle a few weeks ago that fit me like a dream, but when I went back to buy another pair, the clerk told me that they no longer carried the jeans. I went back today on a curious whim, and lo and behold, they had the jeans! I was so excited.

And, on another note, I got a letter in the mail telling me that my test scores were high enough to qualify and I am being seriously considered for a National Merit Scholarship. This day couldn't get any better :P.

Dreamydre 16th Jan 2010 6:21 AM

We learned this song for my French 2 class. I'm not even sure I understand all of what he's singing but I fell in love with it, lol.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2...ce-france_music

Geah 16th Jan 2010 6:56 AM

^ That song is so cool

Dreamydre 18th Jan 2010 12:05 AM

^ Yeah, we sing it all the time in Frenchhhh.

I have a Q: Why do people think Miley Cyrus is a hoe? If she's a hoe I can only imagine what I am >.>

supaclova 18th Jan 2010 12:26 AM

Finishing the Cirque du Freak series. Which was totally awesome. Darren Shan (the author, not the character) is a f*cking genius. Never have I ever read a book that gave me the chills like those do. Reading the last book took about 2 hours, I was so into it. I just sat there, unable to put the book down, always eager to find out what happens next, completely surprised at everything that happens. And about half way through I actually started crying, which just got worse at the end.

I love reading a really good book. It always makes my day.

Maybe because she is 16, wears non-existent pants and takes slutty pictures of herself? I don't know, those just spring to mind.

What made my day was the weather. I woke up, and it was 13C, which is incredible seeing as it's summer and I've been sleeping in 25C heat most nights. The weather we have today is my favourite sort, except today it's sunny.

I don't think what she wears wouldn't be so...unacceptable, for lack of a better word, if she wasn't the idol of so many pre-teen girls. I saw a performance of Party in the USA on TV a while back, and she was wearing pointlessly short shorts. Sure, lots of teens dress like that, but there aren't millions of little girls emmulating them.
The photos though, well I sure wasn't doing that at 15/16. And for somebody who is so much in the public eye, that was a pretty stupid mistake for her to make.

lethifold 18th Jan 2010 2:24 AM

^True. I just resent how she's become so popular when she is such a bad role model. I wish little girls would look up to someone with a bit more talent and who doesn't make such a fool of herself in the public eye. And I'm not condemning age differences in relationships, Hell, I've been there myself, but when you're 16 and dating someone who is 21, it probably isn't the best idea to release whore-esque photos of yourself. It will always give people the wrong idea.

Dreamydre 18th Jan 2010 2:33 AM

I <3 Miley Cyrus

meggie272 18th Jan 2010 8:19 AM

I don't have anything against Miley Cyrus herself...just her music. MY GOD I hate her music. I can't stand most pop, and Miley Cyrus in particular. Gah, give me Evanescence or Regina Spektor anyday.

ANYHOO. I'm going to my friend's tomorrow! Yay, another epic sleepover....

lethifold 18th Jan 2010 9:18 AM

Hahahahhahaha, Zachary Quinto just appeared in this episode of Six Feet Under.

DollyRot 18th Jan 2010 10:59 AM

I must see this episode!

lethifold 19th Jan 2010 1:00 AM

^He's hardly in it, and he's pretty heavily criticized, but it made me chuckle when he appeared. He's at an art school, and his hair is terrible.

supaclova 19th Jan 2010 1:41 AM

Having a little change in routine at school was nice. We did something special in 2 of my classes. But it makes me mad that we had school at all on a holiday. *fuming*

Dreamydre 19th Jan 2010 8:17 AM

hahah.

Julia: Oh em gee you guys, Miley Cyrus lives one district away from us!
Greyson: YEAH! Lets go egg that bitches house!!
Julia: Sounds like a plan
Me:*dying*

Even if we were stupid enough to do that, her house is gated and I'm sure she has like a hell of a lot of security. I swear if alarms and stuff started going off, I would run like hell!!

Dreamydre 19th Jan 2010 8:24 AM

My boyfriend is about to be in traffic for the rest of the night. Everyone knows Ventura and Laurel Canyon is always congested with traffic >.>

Good night ladies!

Phoeberg 19th Jan 2010 5:36 PM

I laughed so much today, and then I was in a class and my friend kept trying to make me laugh even more, and you know when you're not allowed to laugh, you just want to even more...
Plus this conversation:

Kitty: Phoebe, where are you from? I mean, like, what country originally.
Becky: Yeah, what are you?
Kitty: She's ethnic. British ethnic.
Becky: Oh...ethnic!
Me: I'm not ethnic, guys. I'm Welsh.

innocenteyes 19th Jan 2010 10:48 PM

That I am going to be getting a new computer in a couple weeks so I can play the Sims 3 again. I have been looking at them all day!!

lethifold 19th Jan 2010 11:48 PM

My friend finally texting me back and telling me she's coming to my tea party this afternoon (:

DollyRot 20th Jan 2010 2:05 AM

^Can I come?

I'm going to get my hair extensions rebraided this afternoon, and I'm going to purchase some brighter red hair dye

lethifold 20th Jan 2010 2:34 AM

^Of course! Just make sure you're dressed up in Alice in Wonderland like clothes, and my door is wide open :P

Dreamydre 22nd Jan 2010 12:55 AM

My unborn baby sister is being named after Sigourney Weaver. I kind of like the name, and yet at the same time I kinda am NOT FEELIN' IT!

lethifold 22nd Jan 2010 3:38 AM

Well, it made my day yesterday, but seeing Joanna Newsom was incredible! She sounded absolutely amazing, better than she does in her studio albums. And M. Craft, who was the opening act was awesome. Afterward, I was standing in the foyer with my friends and he accidentally bumped into me, then apologized and gave me a hug to say sorry before moving on. I was in a state of great amazement at that xD

Phoeberg 22nd Jan 2010 12:59 PM

It will make my day when it happens, but going home for the weekend! I should be there by 5.30 at the latest.

DollyRot 23rd Jan 2010 1:47 PM

Home made pasta. Oh my god. There goes my diet!

PharaohHound 23rd Jan 2010 2:29 PM

^ Yum, sounds good

I'm really making strides with Mick (my dog). He always tries to pull me across the parking lot of the school to the soccer field (we play fetch there). I've been using the positive method of stopping whenever he pulls, asking him to heel and not letting him move forward until the leash is loose. Today we walked all the way across with the leash loose :D

Dreamydre 23rd Jan 2010 6:08 PM

My little sister came screaming and crying from the downstairs library, she claims she saw a rat and it was playing the piano and then looked at her and smiled.

Uhh...okay? haha. She lies so much, and its so ridiculous. Piano playing rat, kids and their vivid imaginations. smh

kustirider2 23rd Jan 2010 6:20 PM

I actually had a relaxing day for once! I'm happy because I never have to do English language or maths again (I was entered a year early) and I'm going to exceed my target in science by getting a B and possibly an A!! I am so proud. Science will be the only subject I get over a C grade in, Which I'm happy about because my future careers are all science based :D

Dreamydre 24th Jan 2010 5:41 AM

My best friend got caught with her boyfriend in her mom's house. Oh em jee haha, and her mom is making her watch the Pregnancy Pact on Lifetime. She act like its killing her. Then my dad was telling his fiancee about it and was like "that's crazy, I'm glad Adrienne isn't doing things like that, right Adrienne?" and gives me this creepy look. And I'm all like "...yah". Sheesh, my parents would kill the hell out of me if I got caught with some guy. And that's AFTER my two big sisters, cousins, friends, Aunts and Uncles finished with me.

I'm pretty sure I have the whole "safe sex" thing down pact, my parents can't really stop me from doing it though you know? Why can't they be normal parents and just give me "the talk" and contraceptives? Because not every teenager WANTS to wait until after High School. And not all of them will...

lethifold 27th Jan 2010 1:49 PM

The realization that I'll probably get to go and do some shopping at Salvo's tomorrow. I love op-shopping :3 On the weekend I bought a vintagey suitcase, wallet, scarf and necklace for a grand total of $6.

PharaohHound 27th Jan 2010 2:10 PM

I may have found an awesome deal on a Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM on Kijiji, let`s hope it`s still available!

x-tashi-x 27th Jan 2010 2:28 PM

Dreamydre: your right, they cant stop you from 'doing it.'. And i do agree, educating and giving you contraceptives is a better idea than lecturing you or ignoring it overall. But from your parents point of you i can see why they havent. They obviously love you and care for you and i am pretty sure theyre glad you arent taking that step with anyone yet. And for many good reasons, pregnancy STDs etc. Maybe they think that by supplying you with contraceptives it will give you the 'go ahead' for sex.

Dreamydre 27th Jan 2010 11:22 PM

^ Yeah, that's pretty much true....

Rabid 28th Jan 2010 2:26 PM

School was delayed for two hours because of snow, so I got to sleep in .

Dreamydre 28th Jan 2010 11:41 PM

Getting in trouble because me and this guy who was my partner were looking at a video on Youtube in the library. Since when did Youtube start working at school?? Anyway he was showing me a video of John Mayer admitting to kissing Perez Hilton. Bleh, John if you're gonna make out with a guy please make sure its actually within our species. Kay? Thanks!

meggie272 29th Jan 2010 5:12 AM

Finally starting to paint my rooooooooooom! It looks so gorgeous already. I was sick of that dingy, horrible space. Now I will have a room that doesn't depress me.

cupcake12winx 29th Jan 2010 5:12 AM

My friend's back. Alive.

lethifold 29th Jan 2010 5:24 AM

This conversation with Sam...

Sam: What do you think is the female equivalent of a sausage fest?
Me: I don't know, that's a toughie...
Sam: I was thinking maybe Breast Fest or Live Chick Flick.
Me: Breast Fest sounds good...but what about guys with man boobs?!
Sam: Don't worry, guys have man boobs, not man breasts. Oh, and by the way, milk is now called boob juice.

PharaohHound 29th Jan 2010 1:29 PM

I got my Canon EF 85mm f1.8 Yaaaaay!!

Dreamydre 30th Jan 2010 9:45 PM

I think I love Miami more than I do Belgium, that's only because of the climate though. Miami reminds me a lot of Los Angeles, so I love the scenery better in Belgium though.

Dreamydre 30th Jan 2010 10:05 PM

My sister's soon-to-be sister in law is a FASHION GOD. My parents gave me 600 dollars to spend in Miami, and she took me to all the stylish shopping places in Miami and then to this little hair store downtown, and I got my hairrrr did. I got hair extensions, and make up done. And bought this cute little dress I bought and got mah nails redid. You guys I look like a totally different person, I didn't think I could look this flyyy

Umm, though I doubt my dad will approve of this mini dress. I'm gonna have to convince them to wear this without leggings

Phoeberg 31st Jan 2010 8:38 PM
