I went Christmas shopping today, and now have all my housemates Christmas presents, wrapped and under our make-shift tree. All the lights were up in the town and stores, and I bought a santa outfit, a Christmas headband and Christmas hairslides. Now I'm watching Miracle on 34th Street with two friends.

We put up the christmas tree here too! Put it up outside on the deck (covered, of course) and it looks wicked at night :P

^ Ours is a paper tree tacked to the wall, in my house at university. When I go home next Friday I get to put up a real tree!

I found the a good christmas present for my bestfriend.
I wanted something special, something that can be kept forever,
So here's my idea (feedback appreciated )
So i found this metal photo frame with diamonds around the edges. Im buying that, then in the metal I'm getting engraved "Best Friends. Christmas 2010"' ( or something along those lines) & I'm hiring a proffesional photographer to photograph a really nice picture of us, and then getting it put in the frame.
I nice keepsake type thing, and not your generic xmas present.
Good idea? Or not?

Last day of classes for the year!

My sisters exchange partner in Germnay sent her a long email, so we all now know who and where she's going to be staying in Germany in April. She's soooo happy

My friends and I were heading to our class this afternoon when the internal mailman passed us. Last year he asked us if we liked Elvis and sang a song to us, so now we call him Elvis and he always smiles and says 'Hello girls' to us. My friend told him today was her birthday, and he asked her name, then sang Happy Birthday to her while impersonating Elvis. It was so funny.

I somehow got away with no homework tonight. There are assignments I could work ahead on, but I'm going to relish this opportunity for a night of simming and writing and taking a bubble bath, seeing as I so rarely have homework-less nights.

My dog's best friend's owner (if that makes any sense :P) invited me over to watch "Elf" tonight. I LOVE Elf! :D

This made my day yesterday, but, I won three awards at the school presentation evening - year level science and English awards, and an Academic Achievement award. ^__^

Talking to my old school friend Amy over in England:

Me: "The plan at the moment is for us both (Derek and I) to head over to London next year. I'll have to introduce you.
Amy: "He has to get my approval."
Me: "Haha, ok I'll warn him then"
Amy: *scoffs* What? I'm not going to be mean! I just have to see if he's good enough for you! I'm not going to bite his head off or anything, well, I won't if he gains my approval... "

After the major grilling he got from my other friend when we started dating, I wonder how he's going to take the news of another 'approval process'

Planning a get together at my house this Friday at 7:30 PM, sadly I do have to set a limit, I mean my house isn't but so big and this isn't some giant rock out Summer type party, it's a party to bring in the Holiday Season (: so far about 19 or 20 people are coming. I planned it with my mom, and we got it all arranged in only two days, the shortest time period I've ever planned a party. We're gonna Shake Up Christmas everyone!!

My friend is also planning a New Years Party and then together we're gonna do a Spring Party since both of our Birthdays are in Spring and during Spring Break (technically my Birthday is the last day of Winter, but what the heck ever).

This is a good recipe ........


Once again this year, I've had requests for my Tequila Christmas Cake recipe, so here goes:

(Please keep in your files as I am getting tired of typing it every year!)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups dried fruit
Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality.
Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is still OK.
Try another cup just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the fruit up off the floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity.
Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something.
Check the tequila. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window.
Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat.

My friend Josh just gave me an early Christmas present game through Steam. Yes, we are nerds!

School is already on a two-hour delay for tomorrow and the snow is so deep that it's looking good for a cancellation. I love that blizzards always hit us during finals week :P.

10 days until my mummy is back from Bangkok ♥

I finished my week of finals today 3 days early

I LOVE being home. We put up the Christmas tree today and the first two presents are under it (even if they are both from me)!

What made my day? Getting loads of Christmas prezzies and talking to that guy. :D

yesterday for math homework there was a question in which a girl phoebe crashed into mars, and in the hw I wrote about how her spaceship was repaired by Rumbleroar in pigfarts before she took off again.

Then today my teacher noticed and I learned the rest of the people in my table were starkids also

I just organized for my best friend (who lives 3 hours away) to stay at my place on Tuesday night <3 Ahh, it's going to be amazing. I haven't seen her in forever, and I miss her like crazy.
