kit__kat123 23rd Jan 2010 5:08 PM

We have to wear uniform It's a purple/grey/black jumper(or vest top)with a purple/white/black polo shirt(or a white shirt) with black/grey skirt/shorts/trousers..I have no recent piccies of my uni...

Elena Swan 23rd Jan 2010 7:13 PM

Can you repeat, please!!??

Calline 23rd Jan 2010 7:41 PM

I have to wear a uniform too. It's pretty ugly.

XXDeidaraXX 23rd Jan 2010 10:06 PM

I don't have to wear a uniform, but I will next year, so that kinda sucks...

But anyways, Imma go find of picture of something I wear to school. Lolz.

Raindrops757 23rd Jan 2010 10:45 PM

I have to wear a uniform too and it's gross. It's like a pleated, tartan skirt, a white blouse, a striped tie, a navy jumper and worst of all a maroon coat. It is hideous XD.

Elena Swan- I love what you wear to school! It's so pretty and gothic-looking! You have really nice hair too.

VoiceIHear 23rd Jan 2010 11:25 PM

I have to wear a uniform. 2 Actually. The spots uniform which is black shorts and a green top on Tuesday-Thursday, and a formal Black and White uniform (which I don't mind wearing cause it looks quite nice actually) on Mondays and Fridays.

I might post a pic when on wednesday when I start school again. :P

EvilOverlord 24th Jan 2010 12:25 AM

No uniforms at all. :D

lethifold 24th Jan 2010 12:24 AM

I don't wear a uniform, and haven't done so for the last 4 years either. Yay for crappy public school! :D

I'll take a picture of what I'm wearing of the first day of the new school year and post it. When I can be bothered xD

VoiceIHear 24th Jan 2010 12:50 AM

^LUCKY!!

that is so unfair.

Beccapixie10 24th Jan 2010 1:25 AM

I have to wear a uniform. A hideous uniform, to be exact.
Our summer dresses are okay. This is early 2009:

Our sports uniform in summer. The shirts correspond to what house we're in. I'm the one in the middle. In winter, we have blue and gold tracksuits.

And our ugly, hideous, horrendous winter uniform. We can wear less ugly blue pants if we want to, but I often have to wear the kilt when I have to get an award at assembly or something...
Okay i thought i had the pic on here but it's on the other computer. I'll go grab it when my brother gets off and edit this post later today.

EvilOverlord 24th Jan 2010 3:54 AM

MEANIE! I HATE YOU BRENDON!

lethifold 24th Jan 2010 3:54 AM

^'kay, let's not get off topic!

At one of my primary schools (I went to 3 different ones ) the uniform was awful. Red skirts and yellow polo shirts for girls, with the wide-brimmed hat like in Becca's pictures but yellow.

supaclova 24th Jan 2010 3:57 AM

I've never had to wear a uniform. And I wear something completely different everyday, soo...yeah. My school doesn't have much of a dress code.

Beata125 24th Jan 2010 2:05 PM

I have to wear a uniform. Its really comfortable and I like it. Quote:

"[insert school name here] uniform currently consists of a plain white polo shirt with the [school name here] logo, black
College sweatshirt with the [school name here] logo, plain black trousers or skirt, black or white
socks and plain black footwear appropriate for College. All items should be
clearly labelled. We don’t accept jeans, or fashion trousers. Outer garments
should be simple rain-proof wear, preferably without logos or slogans. Shoes
should comply with Health and Safety requirements."

HEAVEN-SENT 24th Jan 2010 2:12 PM

lovin' the shirt, nina!
And the dress is really nice, elena!
I have to wear a stupid uniform at school

It's a really itchy dark green sweater or sweater vest
On top of a white dress shirt
With a dark blue tie covered in my school's logo
And a green-black-red-blue-white plaid kilt (plus ginormous safety pin )
Knee-high black socks
And black shoes

XXDeidaraXX 25th Jan 2010 1:22 AM

Well, this is what I'm wearing to school tomorrow:

Uh, ignore my phone. I forgot to take it out of my pocket. XD

mj2004_3 25th Jan 2010 2:17 AM

^ Wolfy!

Um, we're not allowed digitals on campus, but at home it was somethin' like this:

For me:
White short-sleeved blouse, black knee-length skirt (pants in the winter if it snows, and ONLY if it snows), grey knee-high stockings, black fugly dress shoes w/heels, and our house ties, mine's emerald green with silver stripes, like the Slytherin one. Yeah. And of course if it's cold out (like rainy or just windy) there's these longsleeved sweaters with the house colors (green and silver for me) around the neck, cuffs and waist. The sweaters can be gray or black, but the gray ones are much warmer because they're of a different material. And for hair, you can do anything really, but only on weekends. If it's a weekday, aka class, then your hair has to be either down, in braids, a french braid or in a ponytail, tied with a ribbon in your house colors.

Here in town it's just casual, but I'm going back soon so I don't really have a ton of clothes.

Elena Swan 25th Jan 2010 3:44 PM

I realized that a lot of people wear uniform...

Vampire_aninyosaloh 25th Jan 2010 11:18 PM

I did until I was 16 =P

lethifold 25th Jan 2010 11:38 PM

I did until I was 11. Then I had the choice between going to the high school I went to which didn't have uniforms, or the prissy private school with a hideous uniform that was an hour away.

Beccapixie10 25th Jan 2010 11:45 PM

Finally found the pic of my winter uniform! It's a year or two old, but anyway...
Took longer than i thought.
Anyway, long sleeve yellow shirt (must be tucked it, top button done up)
Blue and gold tie, must be perfectly done, and we can choose either a kilt (must be knee or lower. I prefer not to wear it, but in the pic I am because I had to receive an award at presentation night) and blue tights, or we can wear navy blue pants.

Elena Swan 26th Jan 2010 3:00 PM

^strange kilt?

Beccapixie10 26th Jan 2010 10:24 PM

Yeah. Strange, and very uncomfortable to wear in the middle of summer, which is when presentation night is. *sigh* Damn private schools. Though even the catholic primary school I went to had uniforms. Green and white checked dresses, or green long pants and a yellow top.

afbarnes 27th Jun 2010 11:56 AM

My Uniform is alright i guess, i mean i have had to wear one to school since i started. My one at the Moment

1. White Long Sleved Shirt
2. Black Trousers
3. Black Socks
4. Black Shoes
5. Black Jumper (optional)
6. Black Blazer
7. And a Dark Green Tie with the school Logo on it.

Zinthos 27th Jun 2010 12:31 PM

All schools have uniforms here.
My uniform is white polo shirt, black jumper, black trousers, black shoes.

Me in my uniform:

candiiee 27th Jun 2010 4:22 PM

We have a really simple uniform. It gets us dirty looks on school trips though, because just about every other school in the area have to wear skirts, blazers, ties, a certain colour of socks... The Catholic school have a purple and gold blazer and brown trousers/skirt *shudders*

...Anyway, my uniform is a white polo shirt with the school logo, black trousers or sometimes black skirt, and black shoes. There's also a black waterproof coat with school logo (optional) and grey jumper with school logo (also optional). That's it. We also have a uniform for PE - black or blue tracksuit bottoms/shorts and a blue polo shirt with the school logo, and white trainers, and a blue sweatshirt with school logo if it's cold outside. We're not allowed to wear any jewellry apart from a watch, a ring and one pair of stud earrings, though. And we have a grand total of one none uniform day per year.

fthomas 28th Jun 2010 5:51 PM

I have a uniform. Eurgh.
In the winter, its a white short (or long) sleeved cotton blouse, with a plain black or grey skirt or trousers, and our school jumper which is green. In the summer, its exactly the same, but instead of the blouse, a green polo shirt (with short sleeved).
We are allowed to wear one set of stud earrings and a watch, and no jewelery...I always wear bracelets though..xD
We get quite a few non uniform days, which is goood. :]

I wish I didn't have a uniform. It sucks D:

DigitalSympathies 28th Jun 2010 10:59 PM

Becca, that uniform looks SO familiar. You're from Aussie, right? I swear I've seen it somewhere before. Ours is pretty much like yours. It's a white or yellow shirt (I actually can't tell whether it's yellow or white :P) and a navy blue plaid pleated skirt, but shorter than yours. Then there's in winter a navy blue cardigan (except it's a pullover cardigan so it's real itchy) and in the summer the same thing, just in a vest form. The trim is in silver and bronze. The tie is navy, silver and bronze (I can never do mine properly) and for shoes it's these horrendous leather loafers, but most people just wear regular skate shoes. If it rains, we have navy blue jackets that aren't really rainproof. I miss the days when we could just go casual but I guess because of all the stupid sluts who wear shirts that wouldn't even fit a two-year-old, they had to issue uni's. This is what I can show you from google of what it kinda looks like (not really, but just an idea because I don't have a pic yet):

Yes, I'm from Aussie.
You're currently in Melbourne, correct?
I'm in another area of Victoria, but yeah. *shrug*

DigitalSympathies 2nd Jul 2010 7:09 AM

Yeah, Melbourne, LOL.

I miss Canada so much. T.T

icy96 10th Jul 2010 4:16 PM

Eh, I haven't posted in MTS for nearly one year 'cause I play waaayyyy too many games. So sorry if I didn't introduce myself properly. I'm 13 years old and come from Switzerland.

anyway, primary school uniforms were super mega-horrible. I used to have red/blue colared shirts with weird Khaky pants.

But now I'm in a public school and no uniforms I just wear plaid jeans and my favorite cuffs and a black shirt

XXDeidaraXX 13th Jul 2010 1:33 AM

Ughh, when I school starts, I'm dreading this. I have to wear uniforms at the high school I'ma be attending -_-'.

I might post a picture of the basic uniform sometime.

lilmisssunshine96 15th Jul 2010 9:56 PM

i don't wear a uniform, thank God!!
but i wear your basic stuff.
- jeans from old navy and garage
- jeggings from garage! THEY'RE SO AWESOME!!!
- tshirts from everywhere! six from american eagle, three from hollister, and four layerable tops from garage.
- sweaters from garage, and one hopefully from hollister!
yeah, i kinda like to mix things here and there; cant just have name brands, i have some pretty sweet stuff from wal-mart ;D
i wear my hair down a lot of the time, but i pull it up the odd time

icy96 16th Jul 2010 4:25 AM

what are jeggings?

lilmisssunshine96 16th Jul 2010 10:44 PM

jeggings are jeans, but leggings! the chicness of jeans, but comfy like leggings
well i do live in canada, so everyone is pretty trendy here....

I usally wear Jeans and a tshirt. No uniforms yet but next year when the new building is done I may have to. I would wear shorts but my school banned them since 4 girls wore shorts that show thier butt.

Nobody cares how you dress down there? Lucky. When I've been there it's been almost the total opposite. Here, everywhere you go you get judged on appearance. Even at the shops in town (everyone. Not just kids/teens. It's extremely annoying.) or with uniforms at school.
Tie and top button perfect - loser (I often fall under this category)
Hair messy, female - loser (I often fall here as well... Stupid non-cooperative hair.)
Hair messy, male - cool
Top button undone, shirt untucked, tie loose, generally not following the uniform rules - cool
Pants short - loser
Dress/Kilt short - cool
Our summer uniform is almost as warm as our winter one - which isn't actually that warm, especially when it's less than 10C like it was today. So right about now I especially hate my uniform. :b

lollollollollolno. Melbourne is the fashion capital of Australia. It's the shit. You actually do get judged a lot on your appearance when you go out a lot there. When I was there last year with my parents, my mother, who doesn't wear the most flattering clothes, started to get told off by a 60+ y.o. woman for not wearing clothes that flatter her figure in the middle of the street.

Anywayyyy, school clothes here are whatever you want. Today I was in a high-waisted grey skirt, black stockings, black ankle boots, navy blue shirt and black cardigan with a brown scarf, but I also ran into a friend wearing huge black pants covered in chains and a girl in a near non-existant dress.

SimsShine 21st Jul 2010 1:43 PM

We don't wear uniforms either. I'm glad we can choose what we want to wear at school.
Can't imagine all the people in our school walking in uniforms. That would be fun!

I like the english uniforms, though. But wouldn't wear it myself.:P
I just wear casual clothes to school and at home. 90% of my clothing is from H&M:$ (L)

DaFishQueen 26th Jul 2010 5:53 PM

Blue polo with logo, dark blue sweater or darker blue sweater vest, with either a dark blue short-ish skirt or dark blue culotte or whatever they're called. (Our school colors are green and white. Where'd blue come from?) And black sneakers. They don't care about socks unless you don't have any lol. Compared to some people, mine actually looks good >.<.

lilmisssunshine96 27th Jul 2010 12:19 AM

yeppp, Garage is form Montreal :] I love in Canada. the thing i dont like, is that people automatically judge from what you wear, not everyone can afford things from those name brands... i just kinda go with my own style mixing things up..

So I just always wear whatever I want.

bunnymilk 21st Jul 2011 10:08 PM

I wish we had to wear uniforms. Cute ones, that is.

missyhissy 30th Jul 2011 3:22 PM

Uniform at my first school:

Light blue shirt (short, longsleeved or 3/4 sleeves) for year 7-9, white for 10 and 11
Navy blue fleece with school logo
Black trousers or skirt
Black or white socks
Black shoes

My uniform at my last school was:

Light blue shirt, short or longsleeved
Black blazer (with hideously padded shoulders)
Red tie (the most hideous thing I've ever seen LOL) for years 7-10, Blue for year 11
Black trousers, or black skirt
Black or blue socks (if you wore bright coloured socks, no break for you )
Black, flat shoes (no heels, not even slightly)

So glad I'm in Sixth Form next year...no uniform :p

vhanster 1st Aug 2011 3:19 AM

There's no uniform in my school, so everyone wears T-Shirt and Jeans, or shorts in certain occasions. Quite a drab really, since no-one in my class likes to wear anything fashionable- not even the girls...

ZOMS.
You are awesomely pale.
I'm very pale too, and your style is amazing. (yes, I can tell that from your hand only. I'm a psychic)
I mostly wear jackets, a sweatshirt/hoodie without a hood thing, old jeans, t-shirts, but always some elegant details like puffy shirts and boleros, lace, etc.

I'm not really friendly with a lot of accessories, but I have fingerless gloves, headbands, rings (which can't fit on my fingers even though I have the boniest fingers ever) a necklace I made from my guitar pick after I stopped playing, to remind myself of my frickin' laziness and un-ambitiousness, etc. I never wear all that stuff at the same time, of course.

Long post was long, big sorry.

Vampire_aninyosaloh 2nd Nov 2014 3:02 PM

When i was in school, which seems like a thousand years ago even though it hasn't been so long, I wore navy blue sweater and knee socks, white polo shirt, houndstooth pleated skirt and black loafers.
