Foundation Gamma
1 Attachment(s)
For the third foundation of this social group, I bring to you 'Foundation Gamma'.
This was built on a 20x30 lot. At this time, it's only for the Sims 3. I was going to build a Sims 2 version, but I was stupid and exited my Sims 3 game without saving or exporting the lot, so I had to go back and rebuild it. By the time that was done, I was fed up and irritated with rebuilding by photo so I decide to stop while I was ahead. Anyone is free to make a Sims 2 version if they wish or can. Rules: They're fairly simple. It must stay on a 20x30 lot, no upgrading the lot size. There must be water somewhere. Create a pool or a pond or river somewhere. Don't just stick it in an obvious spot: be creative! That's it! |
Ooooh this one will be interesting lol
|
LOL, I'm stupid. I named it Gamma because gamma's the third letter in the Greek alphabet and this was the third foundation, but it's not, it's the fourth. But, well, it is the third one made specifically for this group, so I'm just keep it this way.
|
That's fine lol
The two foundation bits in the back will be fun to come up with something for hehe |
That certainly looks challenging! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
|
LOL, neither can I! I have no clue what to do with it and I'm the one who came up with it!

I got a nice house started with this foundation. It even has a tomb But the tomb and the rest of the house aren't finished.
Pics below Well of course it is not done.... Im sure it will look alot better once it has some landscaping, some paint, and some windows. oh sorry about the bad quality pics... i used Flabaliki's Alder stairs those are the stairs you see in the back of the house that glow. |
Well I can't wait to see it lol
I've still no clue where to begin with it. |

I hid one of the little foundations in the back with flowers
Is that to much? |
I'd say you'll have to get LifesLover's viewpoint on that one as she's the one who posted the foundation.
That kind of gives me an idea though, not to cover it up but to try to make like flower boxes out of the foundations lol |
Okay, thanks
|
It's severely irritating me that we're unable to make diagonal pools or stairs lol
|
I know right!

@Gamineannie
Thats a nice looking normal house. Your house compared to mine is gonna look so normal while mine is gonna be all crazy and weird looking but in a good way. Congrats on being the first one to finish! P.S. Im not saying normal in a bad way ur house looks awesome! |
3mo co0ki3s!, I think your start looks good. I just did a "normal" house since all my recent work was a little off-the-wall. Usually I build huge rambling places and then run out of ideas what to do with all the room! But I'm looking forward to seeing you finished product.
Eveyone - see I CAN build normal-type dwellings! lol |
lol thanks. I actually feel like I got alot done today with my house. Well, it only feels like I got alot done because i was playing all day. I didnt even work on the house all day, but I actually got something done. I still have to paint and furnish the inside, finish landscaping and furnish the rest of the rooms (i only furnished one room so far).

Excellent houses, 3mo co0ki3s! and Gamineannie. I love what you guys've done with the water rule. Yes, you can cover up the foundations at the back with bushes and such, there's no rule against it, but since this is supposed to test your creativity, I'd like to see what else you could do with it, if you feel up to it. Either way, you won't lose any points or whatever... wait, there are no points, so go to your heart's content!
|
I love them both and marked them as such. You both did a great job of making that odd-shaped foundation seem normal.
3mo_co0ki3s - I love the start you have made with all the open sections and the different roofs. Gamineannie - I love the exterior - shape, textures, and colors with their weather-beaten look. I'll get started on this one in a day or two (after I finish up foundation E). |
I'm finally sketching out somewhat of a idea to follow for when I get started on this. I still need to finish Foundation E though lol

Thanks Ciane, I was thinking of a modern house while adding the roofs and the open sections. But the paint on the outside of the house isnt going to be modern, its gonna look somewhat old with unfinished wood. |
Lifeslover, can the foundation be lifted or anything? Just curious because I have the perfect lot for it but the ground is sloping. Just wanted to ask before I did it.

I added bamboo trees a cherry tree and mirrors for decoration.
And also some lights and a little garden fence thingy. |
@heaven_sent_8_18: Yes, you can raise the foundation or whatever. So long as the foundation stays within its original shape and size and the lot is 20x30, you have free reign to do whatever you want to. And the water rule: that's gotta be in there.
@3mo co0ki3s!: That looks wonderful. Just be sure to keep the other one uncovered so that we can at least know that they do exist. I can't wait to see you come up with! |
I've got the shell done now. The rooms are divided. The furniture in the main room downstairs is in place. The foundations are covered (not covered up) and the back yard is filled in. I should get this finished tomorrow or the next day.
