This is fabulous! I hate giving up floor space to an easel that refuses to be turned!

Thank you for taking time and effort to work on this!

Have you by any chance tested your mod together with Painting Preferences - Custom AnoeskaB Easels? Any info on compatibility/possible conflicts?

Some of the AnoeskaB easels it makes diagonal, and some it doesn't. It doesn't adversely affect them (yes Jo had me look at them) if you wish to fix them, then you can follow the tutorial

Awesome! I remember having an apartment with a balcony where I wanted to do this. And was so disappointed my sim couldn't use the easel until I put it back straight on. Thank you for including the tutorial as well!

It's exciting to know that you have figured out how to make this happen, and have given us options. Great job! I've always used Anoeska's object rotator to achieve the 45 degree angle for the easel (as well as other objects).

I like it! Could you make it for other objects too?
It seems that chessboard, tables and chairs work not togehter in diagonal position. Or made I something wrong?
Beds and hot tubes work, but the animation looks silly.
If you could fix it, this would be very nice.

Thank you! I was always disappointed that my sims couldn't use that easel at an angle, and now they can! They will all be very happy and grateful to you.

I can't get t to work...does the cheat have to be on?

you have to turn it manually. to the 45 degree angle

Once it is turned, they can use it.

Just to clarify, the easel itself isn't turned automatically, you still have to turn it yourself. This mod just makes it usable after it is turned.

and yes it requires the cheat to turn it. if you turn the easel 45 degrees, they can use it.

This is a useful mod - thanks! You mention that the Sim stands an extra step away when diagonal vs straight. Do they actually touch the canvas with their brush? Or do they paint the air in front of the canvas?

They actually stand a wee bit away from it. It is the same slot as when they are standing in front of it when it isn't diagonal, they are just turned slightly differently so it is more apparent.
