Does anyone have a favourite sims pack? Any sims game (spinoffs included) and type of pack. And why?

Personally, I would say Late Night from the Sims 3…if used to be Univeristy from the sims 2 but as i’m growing older it’s just the whole vibe of Late Night that is better.

They nailed it honestly. I don’t think a sims game/pack could encapsulate what Late Night did. The dark packaging, Bridgeport, the clubs…it’s just perfect!! It was also the best pack to introduce celebrities in!

Open For Business. I like sims being 'independent' of the rabbit hole system.

I don't have any particular favorites - I just have favorite features from packs. Especially TS2. Most of the packs had both main and side features that I don't use much, but also a lot of side features that I don't want to be without. I'd absolutely refuse to play without AL, though (freeze function from witches, in the form of the Freezer clock + enabling baby toys. Two of the features I simply do not want to be without, even if one is a mod and the other is extra content/CC. I don't play with witches or apartments, but it does pack some neat extra features).

TS3 seemed to be a bit more on theme, but honestly it's been so long the only packs I remember any features from are the Generations pack (I love anything that gives the younger ages something more to do) and Isle pack (which I did enjoy, even if the pack was a big strain on my computer).

As for TS4, I only have 2 first EPs, and I wouldn't say any of them are amazing in any way. I would like to have all the packs centered on family and younger ages, but I kind of always feel the packs seem very empty for what they contain. It's always just a few new features, then *fluff* in the form of clothes (where they nearly always leave out younger ages) and/or furniture.

The Sims 1- Livin' Large (a.k.a Livin' it up). Added so much kitch quirkiness to the game! Plus- enter Grim Reaper and the vibrating bed.
The Sims 2- Seasons. Made such a difference to the way the base game looked and felt when playing lot-based. And gardening!
The Sims 3- Late Night. Bars and clubs are an essential addition to all my hoods as a great place to stay and socialise, and buy food and drinks. And- bands!

Best value packs-
Sims 1- Makin' Magic because the hood, magical skills and baking added so much gameplay.
Sims 2- Sims 2 HolidayMiniPack and Sims 2 HolidayPartyPack, these were originally sold as patches for just a couple of quid, but contained such a lot of nice content, plus Santa. Later they were released as the Holiday stuff pack.
Sims 3- World Adventures, as the worlds are so huge and impressive, and the game mechanics really are clever. Amazing first EP!

As patches?😅 What does that mean?? As in you had to BUY a patch?

Meaning that they were little executable files that you downloaded from the Sims 2 official site, as the first DLC that they made. You just ran the exe to install the files, in the same way that the game patches were delivered. You can download the packs here:

But if you already have the UC or the Holiday stuff pack, you'll already have the content.
