I have added an 'Alarm' in my post (please read it).
Just download this hack and test in game. It works very well!

Sorry I can't take requests anymore!

If this is anything like the situation in Sims 1, the problems are because this is NOT a coffee machine, but an *espresso* machine that looks like a coffee machine.

...but I`m taking it anyway! ... ::nab::

Ohhh I'm trying like CRAZY to get this working/showing up in my game but unfortunately it won't. I'm assuming it's some Apartment Life compatibility issue, don't know what else it could be. Anyway, beautiful work on the object too bad I can't try it in game!

I can't believe I never thanked this - its got to be one of my all-time fave items. I downloaded it AGAIN today as I am reinstalling (again). Thank you - an absolute must have in my sim homes
