my hood is very under construction at the moment, I'm still trying to see how I can make it look not naked at all with the decorations, here's the only place where everything is like finished lot wise and I'm pretty sure I went a bit overboard with the trees. suggestions are extremely appreciated (unsure if this is the right thread to ask for stuff like this)

once again suggestions are extremely appreciated as I've been trying to make a good, "forever" hood since I was around 9 lmao and I'd like this to be my last time doing it.

I love that neighbourhood, @panicdrillz ! I think it's very well decorated, especially the rocks. :lovestruc I think I would make a little island in the middle also- but that's just because I love tiny islands!

Default Riverblosom Hills Makeover or something
Unfortunately I made a mistake when giving the hood a makeover so I can't share the makeover - and that hurts-
Anyway here is some old pics and I should really take some new pics of the hood to be honest!

Took some inspiration from Cutley on this. Particularly the building arrangements and use of alley ways. Unfortunately Pleasantview is a terrain that has a lot of small tiny hills which really makes it difficult to decorate. Originally I wanted to put Criquette's railway set going in between here but it just couldn't be done with the way the terrain is.

Slowly working on setting up a pretty uberhood for myself :'D
My biggest turn down for uberhoods has always been that the OG hoods looks terrible - so I'm trying to satisfy myself in this very very slow process. Riverblossom hills is done, so I moved on to pleasantview :'D

OnayaW I like the little terraced houses in you pictures. They look typically British. (Scottish even?) They even have gutters and drainpipes (downpipes), a feature which is usually missing from Sims' houses. I don't see any mailboxes outside, so I presume they're just 'hood deco?

I'd really like to see liveable, buy-able houses like those for some of my Sims to live in. (I live in a new-build end-terrace house myself.)
All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

I am working on a CC-free whole neighborhood to upload here on MTS. Just wanted to share some WIP pictures of the hood, and maybe if you want you can give me some feedback on what you see from these pictures! The hood is inspired by MySims places and buildings, with my own twists and creativity put into them.
The hood can be divided in four zones: the denser area is the town, the area with the Greek ruins is a contrada in the countryside, the zone with the dead trees is the swamp and the area with the train rails is the industrial district.
I have also included a picture of the theatre that I'm building for the town :D

Your hoods are always so dramatic! I experimented with skies, horizons, etc from 3 creators; never could get things to work right.

Yes the block of houses is neighborhood deco, but thank you for reminding me to make actual houses like that :') They might not be in my pleasantview remake though. I have the feeling I'm gonna add such houses to other neighborhoods though!
