The idea sounds really neat, and I like the way that you provide a rationalization for why each generation has their aspiration.

I think your scoring needs some work, though - for instance, you lose only one point for making an enemy, but gain 3 points for winning a fight. If you fought with every enemy, you'd still have a net gain of points, even if you had no friends. Another one is having babies. You lose only one point for having more than 2 children, but gain 2 points every time a baby is born. So you might as well keep having babies, because you'll gain more than you'll lose for it.

Why didn't you include the Pleasure aspiration?

THanks for the feedback!
The point system is a little bad- i agree and I will change it as soon as I can x

The reason I didn't include the pleasure aspiration is because I'm working on it- and I wanted to leave it till the end so if you didn't have nightlife yo wouldnt have to skip a generation. I will be adding the pleasure aspiration soon- maybye sunday?

Anyways, thanks for the feedback nad I hope you may try the challenge soon!

I've also got some questions!
1) At the beginning, do you create one single sim or two (male & female)?

2) Should the spouses always have the same aspiration (e.g. the first generation of parents both having popularity aspiration)?

3) Is the family allowed to move into a different house (cause pleasure aspiration says the heir must live downtown, so if you were not allowed to move, your home would have to be in downtown from the start)?

4) And another one about the bonuses: E.g. in the 1st generation it says 1 point for every friend made. Does that mean for every friend the whole family makes or is it restricted to just one sim, meaning all bonuses apply to the heir (or the start sim)?

OKay- thanks for replying!

1) a single sim- male or female
2) No, the spouse can have whatever aspiration
3) Yes- but the parents must still live with them
4) The heir is the only one who can unlock bonuses (and the start sim when you begin)

hope I helped!

Another question that came to my mind ^^ : What about the elixir of life or aspiration rewards in general? Are they allowed? (Though I have to say I usually don't use them, cause I like to keep my game a little more realistic. But lifetime aspiration benefits I already used.)

Oh and what does it mean to "have a teenager roll popularity"? To give a teenager popularity aspiration?

It doesn't say anywhere in the rules you can't use them, so why not? Because this is a challenge on aspiration goals and wants so you must put the points to some good use, right? You don't have to use them, but you can use them however much you want.

And for the teenagor rolling popularity. For that generation you can have only 2 children, and the heir must be family aspiration for the next generation. So the other sibling can be whatever aspiration you want, you just get extra points if that teenagor is popularity

Okay, thanks again for answering!
It's just that if you make a sim's life last longer, you'll have endless time to complete the generation goals or to gain bonus points! And in my opinion the games is more challenging and fun if that time is limited. But as you said, everybody can choose how they want to do it. Just my thoughts!

Yes I agree with you. But you also want them to die off too, because you'll run out of room in the main house for the next generation. And then also, the next generation goals etc begin when the heir is adult. So you can change the current heirs age with elixer of life but you can't stop the next heir from growing up!

^This is why I hardly use Elixer of life. Who wants to be older than their aunties and uncles?!

Edit: I already answered my question myself. So the time a sim can gain points is from adulthood til death, right? (I was wondering if it stopped with becoming an elder, but that doesn't make sense...especially after another look at the point system.)

I'm still playing your challenge, MaryLenaSTAR, and it's real fun!

the sim can only gain points from adulthood until the next heir is an adult. So whether they are elderor not the next generation and points start when the heir is an adult.

And I'm glad to see that you've tried the challenge! I would try it but my computers getting fixed atm lol

Hmm okay, but for the 1st generation you listed points for having a great golden anniversary party. Which is only possible as an elder. Or am I wrong???
So because of that I concluded gaining points must be possible from adulthood til death (of course the point system for the next generation starts when the heir is an adult).

Yes, you are right about elders and golden anniversaries.

Also, the adulthood till death thing is correct, but it does depend if you have your children young or nearer elderhood. It just depends. And by the time your heir dies the next heir is probably an adult by then so it wouldn't matter?

If you have the Pets expansion then can you get points for adopting a pet?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may never (falling anvil drops on head)

Should it be allowed to get promoted by letting your co-workers pull strings for you? Because that's not really cheating.
For those who don't know how that works: Have a great outing or date with your co-workers or fall in love/woohoo with them and they'll get you a promotion without you having the required skill points.

No cheating, it's just all about relationships. Try it! It's a hidden function in the game. I didn't know until I read about it in another challenge (http://www.asimwen.com/TS2/).
