Are your CC packages merged? How many are Sims 3 packs and how many are packages?
It sounds like you have quite a bit of CC. Merging your CC helps a lot with performance, and fixed my crashing issues considerably. Have you just recently added more CC to your game? Also, I tend to keep a "new CC" and "new mods" folder, and anything new goes into them. That way if I start experiencing game crashes or issues it's really easy to pull it back out, and I play test for quite awhile before they join my main merged content.

I followed a lot of it and my game performance (and crashing issues) changed a lot. Especially once I quit playing fullscreen and bypassed the launcher.

Outside of that the 50/50 method for tracking down the bad CC is your best bet, Also, if you've recently downloaded new mods or content, go back and check the download source to see if they have any dependencies (Like food items requiring X mod or pack etc), just to be double sure that isn't the issue.
