Default Is sims 4 worth to buy?
Well that likely got asked much befor but is it worth to buy it and fun to play Sims 4? I do have Sims 4 and like 3 packs if I remember correctly and I got bored easy... Would it be less boring and worth it to buy more packs? (In sale of course) and this time with Mods? I know Sims 4 is not the best but do the mods for it fix it for the most part? I just want to know if, with mods and more packs, it's fun to play and worth it? Or not?

It really depends. Many people like it, many people are bored to tears even with multiple expansion and other packs. You probably need to find that out for yourself. No one here can tell what you will like and what you won't.

If you find the base game boring, there's no amount of packs that can fix that. Packs add more content but don't change gameplay in a meaningful way. It's pretty much the exact same game with more stuff to do. If I were you, I'd only buy a few select packs because most of them aren't worth it.

Depends on what kind of game player you are. It's not a strategy game. It's not a shoot-em-up game. It's not a computer board game. It's not a "solve the mystery" type game. It's not a racing game. It's not a space adventure game. It's not a learning game. But it has aliens, vampires, spellcasters, mermaids and werewolves. What kind of game do you like to play?

I do love playing sims... I play Sims 2 almost every day so the genre for sure isn't wrong... I hear alot negative about it but it also has some positive points to it... I just wanted to generally ask how it is now and if it's playable with mods cause I heard they fixed alot

From all I hear, it cannot hold a candle to Sims2. You can play Sims2 almost every day? That does not seem to be the experience for many people. At least the ones I'm hearing from around here. Obviously that's just a small part of Sims4 players. If you were bored at the beginning, it doesn't seem like you will be enjoying it more with more packs. But again, I really can't say what you will be enjoying. Or to what degree mods help with the boredom.

This is something only you can decide. Watch the reviews of the packs and see if of interest to you or not?

Pretty sure you can free trial (still available? Idk) and see it for yourself. What's worth for other, doesn't equate for other.

What I can recommend is getting it at sale. That way, it's a win win for you as you won't regret much, or if you'll have a blast with it - you would still save some money buying it at cheaper price

Sale is till Tuesday next week... Thank you all

Is sims 4 worth to buy? in a nutshell, no. You're better off with sims 2 or 3.

It was indeed free for a short while in 2019, which is when I got it.

In my opinion, if you've played and really like the sims 2 and appreciate all the little details and wish that by now, the last sims game had that and more. No, I don't recommend it.

Although I would recommend you try it, it can be fun for a few hours, trying everything that the previous games don't have. (Although it's not that it has so many new things compared to previous games... XD It all feels incomplete.)

It got me stressed and frustrated after trying for a couple of years and it's been a long time since I quit... I think after Get Famous I didn't play 4 anymore.

I find that TS4 is rather boring to play. It lacks the massive customization that TS3 had, it lacks the in depth simulation and tiny details of TS2, and lacks even the charm TS1 has. TS4 is a very oddball of a game, it doesn't really fit in with the other 3 in the series and at times during play I often find myself wondering "what's next?" since it feels like there is nothing to do more often then not. This lack of things to do feeling doesn't go away even with as many packs as I have for it.

TS4 is not just boring to me to play but it feels too... "woke". And that is a term I usually don't like to use at all, but in the case of the TS4 game I am using it. Everything in TS4 feels too sterile where all of the offensive and obscene quirky things that made the first 3 games good has seemingly been thrown to the wayside. So if you're anything like me and you actually enjoyed some of these quirky and somewhat obscene things, well, TS4 doesn't have them. It's too clean almost as if playing an interactive Disney cartoon. I get that they have to keep the game rated for Teen, but let me be clear by saying that TS1 was rated Teen and had cake dancers, go-go cages, slot machines, and burglars. So there is no reason why TS4 can't have these things.

To get opinions, test/try it before, before it depends on people's taste and we are all different. A lot of simmers adore the sims 4 and praises it because it suits them well.

TS4 is a big NO except for toddlers and the some gamplay things that are not existant in the sims 3 and 2.

Plus this game is a pure nightmare, it never launches with cc at almost each update, always do the 50/50 to catch the bad one... hahaha !!
That's happening to me at the moment,
No matter if you fix them or not with s4studio... I never had a such problem with ts2 and ts3.
So if the sims 4 is your favourite game, download cc at the very last update of the game, the ultimate one, to avoid problems.
I also join HarVee, if you want a nice game with almost no nastiness and do censorship on names, buy it quickly...pfff game for snowflakes.
You can"t call your sims Qwerty as last name, no Minette for cat ladies, and if you're a porn gamer or if you want a bit more Violence and Cruelty without being a sadistic,.... same shame on you.
(but I don't care I called my cat Minette I puke on you EA)

You could replace "Dog" with just about anything in TS4 and it'd still be an applicable meme. My furniture in TS4 might be a bunch of crybabies too since no burglars.

TS4 seems more... sanitized. I can't say I don't enjoy it at all but mods have helped me enjoy it more. Packs also helped somewhat. I also just... don't like the ui. It's too bland. Too... white lol. Ts4 doesn't have the charm and quirkiness the others did. All the lore seems to have been watered down as well. The stories suck, and their personalities are very simple without mods. I feel like they were trying to go in a more family friendly direction as far as lore goes. I also don't like the... art style of sims. They look off-putting to me... somewhat toony. I do kinda like the emotion system, though. It is somewhat faster than 3 and nowhere near as buggy as 2.
While some people might not like how "woke" the game is, it made the game more versatile in terms of clothing...And it's one of the more realistic things about the game. It's more inclusive.
Custom content creation seems somewhat easier than the other games, which is probably due to how cas was made and how easy the custom content creation tools are.
Was it worth it to buy?... for me, maybe? But only after packs and mods. I'll admit I was very upset when I first bought the base game without any extra content.
