I'ts the base-game version patch which is important. In the launcher, mouse over the Sims3 icon in the bottom left corner as illustrated here http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Patch+Level+Compatibility

The mod was compiled against 1.33 and that patch level is recommeded (1.34 came out today and is not tested yet).

It would be really odd if it worked for everyone else but not for you. Not sure what could be wrong here.

It should be placed in the mydocuments/electronic arts/the sims3/ mods/packages folder now.

Older versions required it to be put in the program files folder. Maybe that is the case for some who didn't get it to work. Just trying to help.

fyi:
I ran the mod in the new patch version 1.34 for 20 minutes... Nothing exploded, everything seems normal.

This is not a green light yet, but hey, nothing exploded.

Tip for users: If a character has never been "pranked" while skinny dipping, it seems the Towel setting on the sign will not be able to force you into it (Everyday 1, instead.) So the fix is to have your clothes stolen. Good times for everyone.

Possibility to change into a specific outfit
Great mod. Love it for my gyms, spas, saunas etc.

Would it be possible to ad a function that changes sims into a specific outfit (not category) using the outfit's ID?

Live your dream.

I'm very happy with this mod. thank you so much
I don't know if it is possible but can you make an alternate version where the object is less obvious maybe a small clutter to put on top of a table (a candle, or a tissue box)etc

and I also vote for the skinny dipping towels, as it is perfect for bathroom/bathhouse, spa, etc.
CmarNYC's Outfit changer mod has this towel in the menu, maybe it can be used as reference

thank you again

Could this be made invisible using Buzzler's VanishingObject Script?

Thank you for this info, I'll let my sim get pranked and see if the special towel outfit will work after that.

The rest of my skins can be found in my blog

After further playing, I've noticed that once pranked, and the towel outfit is generated, it can be triggered with the sign, but apparently does not persist after reloading. Getting pranked every game session is impractical. It should be noted, I am not using AwesomeMod or Master Controller or whatever... for all I know, this feature may work for others with fancier mods, but not me.

In lieu of using the Skinny Dipping Towel setting, I've been using Athletic 2 and gave all my active characters some CC towels in that outfit catagory.

Despite my minor frustration with the Towel, I LOVE this mod.

Just try and see what happens

The mod has no code for fallbacks, it just tells the game "make that Sim change their outfit". If that outfit is not found, the game does whatever EA programmers considered appropriate.

Can it be made so that service sims (Butlers, Maids, the gardener NPC from douglasveiga, etc) and sims at parties with a dress code don't change their clothes please?

Hmm. Excluding NPCs should be possible. I'm more pessimistic about dresscode parties

EDIT: I will put the NPC option in the next release. Check back in the next couple of days. Thanks for the suggestion

Hi Consort,

just found this mod today and I love it. I really missed this

Some feedback:
1) For some reason this mod throws up a lot of errors in Twallan's ErrorTrap's dereferencing. I have no idea if that means something is broken or not, Twallan indicated he thought you were already aware of this.
2) If not already implemented, could you add in a check so that Sims with the insane trait ignore this sign? One of the quirks I like about them is that they wear absolutely random clothing.

1) Yep, I'm aware of that. ErrorTrap complains BEFORE my sign cleans up its old listener. This should be a non issue but i'll fix that in the new version.
2) I see what I can do. Just have to do some testing

The new version no longer gets complaints from Errortrap, and I can exclude insane Sims. Thanks for the quick update!

Excellent mod. I'd also like to see a low profile version; the sign is just too big to hide behind small pictures and looks out of place in a standard house.
