Default Crash at final exam of fourth semester
Hello everyone,

my eight year old neighborhood started experiencing this problem on my current rotation. Whenever my sims are due to come back from their final exam of the fourth semester or when I choose any option in that "Do you want to change [sim name]'s aspiration?" prompt, the game crashes.

Things I've already tried:
- Removing all my mods
- Moving them to a new lot

The problem does not occur:
- with a newly-created sim in newly-created test neighborhood
- with a newly-created sim in the original neighborhood
- when a sim gets an academic probation

The problem affects all three sims in the household. As a workaround, I used the college adjustor to put them in their fifth semester immediately now but if anyone knows if there's a fix for this, just in case this occurs again next rotation, it would be very appreciated.

Do you have any custom majors?

When a game is predictable, it's boring.
That goes for any medium that isn't life.
That's why The Sims 2 is my favourite sims game.
It has elements of unpredictability and everything feels more involved.
The Sims 4 is another story altogether...

When you say 'all your mods', do you mean all your mods, or all your CC?

Just my mods, I kept the other CC in because I figured the mods would be the most likely culprit.

That's generally the case, but as you already ruled that out, the next step would be to rule out all your downloads, just in case. You could've put a generic mod in the wrong subfolder, or you could have a modded object filed away with other basic objects, or you could simply have a randomly wonky file. It happens, I had a teen top in my game that had been there for decades with no problems right up until the day I told a Sim wearing it to find a job.

Thanks, that solved it. Turns out it was a pair of pants, so I deleted them.
