Default [RESOLVED] Downloads Search game version filter not working
This must have changed quite recently but there used to be a dropdown where you can filter your downloads search results for what version of game but now there's a modal pop up with radio buttons, but when I choose 'Sims 2' and click the 'switch' button nothing happens, I still have all game version results. I can go to sims 2 > Downloads and it already filters but I've been using the 'search' more often and just filter it through there. I also re-click the 'go ' button after switching but still it shows all game results of my search query. I tested it with Sims 4 as well but it's always stuck on showing all games results.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.

Which search option are you using? The search in the navbar should always search All downloads. The search box on the downloads page should work as it did and search the currently selected game (aka All, Sims 2, Sims 3 or Sims 4). Previously, when you selected the game from the dropdown it switched right away - now it switches when you click the Switch button. (Unless of course you switch to the game you are currently viewing)

If I search "Dove" in the search in the navbar, it takes me here:

https://www.modthesims.info/downloa...=dove&gs=0&f=38

If I then click "All games" and switch to "The Sims 2", then click "Switch" it takes me here:

https://www.modthesims.info/downloa...sort=0&tag=dove

So it is taking me to the right pages, and search correctly.

What are you seeing if you repeat this?

Thank you for replying and sorry for not being clear, yes I was doing the search on the navbar. I did it s a a few times yesterday on my PC desktop before I input this ticket. However, when I checked back later on my Mac Laptop, and did the 'Dove' search on nav search bar like you instructed, it did work. Today, back at the PC, it also works. So I'm not sure why it was acting weird with me for that time yesterday. Was using Chrome for all testing. I was sure it wasn't after trying several times. Anyway it looks like it's resolved now, I'll go back to happily filtering my searches

Sounds like there might have been some caching happening on the CDN level. Glad it’s fixed now though!
