Default WCIF a poker table hack that lets you win or lose real simoleons
Is there a hack like this for the poker table? When my sim sits there playing poker with others, you see all these simoleon symbols flying up into the air as if there's so much money being won and lost . . . but my household finances stay the same. It would make more sense if it went up and down, at least a little! And what would be really fun is if they could win big sometimes, or lose their shirts. Does anyone know of such a hack? I don't usually put poker tables in my houses but the occasional public venue might have one, so in my neighborhood it's the sort of thing they do once in a while.

Separate question, but related: Remember the Bonsai of Wisdom by CtfG? I love this thing; I put it in every single house and community lot that I build. It looks like the Blue Sky Bonsai from the game, but it tells you things like how good your sim is at writing and dancing and romance and playing pool, etc.

CtfG says in the description: "I have prepared the code so that further options can be easily added." See, before that Bonsai of Wisdom came out I had no idea that they could improve on those things! Further options? Does that mean there are other things they can get better at too? Like playing catch? Or poker? (I can understand catch depending on body skill, but poker? Naw, you gotta play poker to get good at poker.)

Perhaps that is one of the 'options' CtfG spoke about. It wouldn't surprise me; playing poker is something you would get better at in real life, and improvement in that would probably have been programmed into the game. Perhaps that is one of the "options" that could be "easily added" by some willing modder or hacker or whatever, to the Bonsai of Wisdom.

For people with SimPE, I'm sure all that stuff can be looked up, but I don't have the wherewithal to use such a complicated tool. I depend on easy-peasy, end-user stuff like the Bonsai of Wisdom.

So this post is both a question and a plea. Question: Is there a win money/lose money hack for the poker table. Plea: Any hackers/modders out there reading this; if there isn't please make one! and please add it to CtfG's Bonsai of Wisdom.

Thanks to all reading this. MTS is the best site for Sims 2 content ever.

I really thought I had a version where you could actually lose your shirt, but I can't find it.

There you go. https://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=4913.0

There is also this http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,11690.0.html ( same version works on my AL/M and G game). I would've bet that my sims do actually win/lose funds from the poker table, I'll check that out when I go in game later... and report back to either eat crow or double down .

ETA , So a test of sorts. Teleported 3 playable sims from different households to an owned community lot where they joined the lot's owner to play. Used Squinge/Morague's high stake table linked above. Maxed all motives. Made all sims playable ( Inge's cat), instantly lost 4,000 ( because all playable sim's 1k entry fee got deducted from the owner) Kvetched and moaned, made all sims quit playing to get my owners moolah back ( my mentioned sim has just over 5 million, but I make them live like me... "Hey these pretzel crumbs in the bottom of the bag will go great in my soup tomorrow" kind of philosophy). Made them unplayable again. Restart.

All sims played from 7 AM until just after 11PM. Final total, lot owner up $2800, checked other three invitees/playables households and funds did not change. So no actual loss for them. I'm off to eat some crow. :D

Wow, cool. I also tried this http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,11690.0.html version and got some changes but still it doesn't work well enough. I also have ideas for a real-life version of a bitcoins casino , but if everything worked like a real online casino in Sims, it would be easier. However, thank you anyway!
