With the fade... does it fade out the trees and the stairs. Because I have lots with loads of trees but I like to keep the stairs showing.

@xylune:

Ok, give me a little bit, I discovered yet another file controls the free cam behavior as well.
I'll update the mod to 3.1 when it's done.
Thanks for the suggestion xylune and you just helped me make the mod even better.

Stay tuned

Fade applys to all objects, even sims.

Thank you, GunMod. I tried to figure out what line to change to improve it but I was at a loss. I absolutely adore everything else!

I just tried this out and from now on this is my favorite mod. I could never play without these cam angles now. This mod is WONDERFUL. Especially in neighborhood view, I can get CLOSE now!

Edited to add: I agree the side scrolling needs to be speed up greatly. I am still thrilled!

near perfect

The only problem I have with this mod is that the scroll rate is a bit too slow, and the rotation speed, a bit too er.. sharp and fast.

Great work though, thanks.

Workin' on it

For everyone one thing I change, it affects 4 other things, so it's slow going.

Just an update, about 85% done.
Need sleep. Been up for 25 hours now.. lol
Got the speed problem worked out, now just tidying up.
Should be finished today (whenever "today" is).
Its 2:30 pm here, and Im going to bed.
I'll look @ it after my mind is refreshed and see if there is anything I need to fix before the 3.1 release.

Thanks so much!! It looks great, and, I've been dying for a no-fade cam.. I hate losing the beautiful violet trees behind my sim when I try and have her portrait painted. >.<

Very nice ^-^

Slowed Down the rotation speed for the live camera mod

By the way, this text mod is part of the game and I don't think it is copywrite?

I tried this out but I can't use it because it took me almost 75 seconds to scroll from the front of the house to the back of the house using my mouse, where normally it happens almost instantly.

I tried to figure out what to change to make it scroll faster but I'm not sure what everything does & whether you increase or decrease the amounts or whether there is more than one adjustment involved.

Made Minor Changes:

I appreciate all the work you did Ziggy, but Im afriad its for not
I found some very interesting stuff in regards to the cameras that change how I have to do everything.
If your interested in modding further I can chat with you via an IM or voice program and get a bit more technical. But to sum it up, the very important thing I found , and test this for me to make sure with the DEFAULT cameras, is that the more you zoom, or the lower to the ground you get, the slower the camera gets.
I pulled hair for a good 3 hours trying to twist my brain around that and at last I have found a solutuion.
Hopefully I'll have this done by tonight as I really want you guys to have it.

I just wanted to drop in again and say thanks to GunMod for working so hard, and to say get some sleep! I'll continue to check for the update but seeing how much is involved to do it, I'm just glad that you're taking the time to improve the scroll speed and I really appreciate your hard work. This is going to be the best camera mod ever.

Ditto here on all counts. Your hard work is very much appreciated, but don't knock yourself out trying to get this updated in a hurry. For something so sweet, we can wait until you're done.
