Default What made you panic recently?
From little yelps, to full blown panic attacks, what made you panic?

As a chronic panicker, I shall give mine. Today, I fell for Bret Michaels after someone sent me an infographic on his numerous injuries and deficiencies. I felt something of a "kindred spirit" reason as I had to go through surgery, procedures, tests, pills and blood draws more times than I care to remember. My father then pointed out I was turning into my sister because she was in a relationship with a one-legged man and dumped him for a blind diabetic. As I have an adverse reaction to being like my sister, I had a full blown panic attack.

Being on highway for four hours with a toddler. Being too warm. Not sleeping knowing I have to be up in five hours. The being too warm thing is getting old really fast. I'm having to breathe properly because I'm too warm. Most lame panic ever.

She was rouge and red lips, dark hair and soft hips, mischief and laughter - and she wanted you to love her faster.

the night before I had my first ever mock science exam which included 3 papers, I had to revise 3 science units (chemistry 2, biology 2, physic 2) which was to much for me, I struggle enough one paper let alone 3! (I ended up getting Ds on all 3 papers)
I went into my Mum's room to watch a Program with her and when I continued to revise I broke out in tears worrying about the exam, while my mum tried to comfort me the best she could.
I've never really had a panic attack so I not sure whether you would class what happened as a panic attack.
in may, I have 2 mock science exams which cover 6 units (chemistry 1, biology 1, physic 1) and (chemistry 2, biology 2, physic 2)
the second exam in 2 days before my birthday

Life is like a rollercoaster. It has its ups and downs. But it's your choice to scream or enjoy the ride
Cottage feedback- would be greatly appreciated

Ooh, I've got TWO!
1) Parents Evening this Wednesday. Period 3, I suddenly remember to get the times, so I desperately ask every teacher the periods after to get me some times.
2) Lunchtime. Scum on the earth (Y8s) suddenly gang up on me and start chasing me to appease their fetish of making people panic.

The assignment I'm currently writing. The lecturer has been ill for a week so we're about 3 lectures behind but she didn't change the deadline. Today was the first day she was in so I wanted to ask her about the assignment because the deadlines tomorrow, but everyone pretty much swarmed her with questions so I felt bad so I didn't ask. I'm currently writing my assignment without any idea of whether I'm writing it correctly and get my average score, or if I've done it terribly wrong and should be expecting a fail.

Panic attacks and the reactions are subject to the person having them. Some have such adverse reactions, that it harms them. Others are plain bizarre and do not fall under typical. There is no standard reaction to panicking. I have what is considered typical in that I feel tightness all over my body and have trouble breathing deeply.

Pretty much everything? I live with chronic / general anxiety and have had it since I was very young.

Extremely tense stuff, like moving out of my parents' home via police escort set me off pretty bad. Not knowing what was gonna happen to me, how I was gonna eat, etc. Gets hard to breathe, I can feel my heart in my head, really bad moments I've been known to throw up or almost faint.

As for recently, going to go to a specialist in two weeks to determine if I have ovarian cancer.

My dad thinking it was ok to constantly muck about with his phone while driving at 120km/hr on the eay back, in at first pouring rain. Ugh. Had to take the phone and tell him I'll answer it or do whatever for him. I mean c'mon. You have a toddler in the vehicle. No one is saying anything that important. At all.

Not panic in the traditional sense, which was actually weird, but I had an interview yesterday. Normally I'd be sweating, panicking, etc. I wasn't prepared and just went in like, "Eh, if it doesn't go well, it doesn't go well." The door was locked when I got there - still didn't panic. I did have to go to the bathroom, though, which promptly went away after the interview, so I guess I did get nervous. Not really panicking, but it was the closest I got. I aced the interview (they loved me and they seemed really cool! yay!) but it's a part-time position so I turned them down today

This is really stupid but my boyfriend posted on Facebook "it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" and I panicked for a minute! The second sentence though was "I say to my empty pizza box." Clearly I did not need to panic.

More seriously, a lot of things make me panic. Messages from my parents always make me panic because I'm worried I've done something wrong. Emails from professors make me panic for the same reason. Having to speak in Spanish in front of the whole class kind of made me panic. People not texting me back makes me panic. Spending money at all makes me panic (not that it stops me from doing it). Mispronouncing my r's in Spanish, and mispronouncing things in general, makes me panic.

My most horrible panic attacks happen at home and I'm overloaded, feeling like I want to throw up.

The only cure is dousing me in the tub with cold water.

My Social Studies teacher assigned me computer work while everybody else was doing a worksheet. The freakout was legendary. I generally panic a lot when it comes to social situations. Three weeks ago, I mispronounced a word, and I still lie awake at night wondering if everybody who was in the room at the time hates me now.

May your plumbob glow ever green.

Partner and I had a "accident" while we were "intimate" but that's not what panicked us, that happened when we had trouble getting our hands on the morning after pill for stupid reasons. But it's all sorted now, panic over.

Just right now I panicked and went to my outbox to delete a PM that made me look like a fool. Well, surprise, it is marked as "read" already, mere minutes after it had been sent. Just my luck.
