Default WCIF: A hacked computer to choose more jobs
The one from Gnohmon doesn't work for me and a program was recommended on the forum but it doesn't work either. Help would be appreciated!

Hi!

Not exactly what you're looking for, but Around the Sims has a Jobs Agency set for community lots that includes paintings from which you can choose any level in any job. The "Job Offers" objects are a little blue painting that gives you that option. Sandy explains that she couldn't make it work in Downtown, but I've tried it in Old Town and it does work! If you don't mind having to travel to a community lot... these give you more or less the functionality you're looking for.

Thank you. Pretty interesting. I grabbed her computers and the bookcases and NPC. I am so horrible at building but I managed! I can make it work but the interest/skill bookcases can be used autonomously so all my sims were changing their interests! I emailed Sandy, if she's still around, hopefully she can nix that part and then it'll be a really neat little deal. It's actually pretty fun to take your Sims to a 'job agency' Thanks for sharing the link.

You're welcome! It is fun indeed!
AFAIK, Sandy is still active, but with TS3 and 4. My experience with magazine/interest racks is that sims get obsessed with them, and change their interests uncontrollably. So maybe it's a behaviour of the game itself.
Hope you have luck!

Simstitution has this computer, it's the tsg_webshop.zip one.
The jobs are divided by expansion, which helps a lot.

I'm using the one from Gnohmon with no trouble -- what problems are you having with it?

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html
