Default Does Changing A Sims Default Hair Color Mess With The Baby Genetics?
Sorry for the stupid question but I didn't want to derail the stupid question thread with this. (for example) If a sim is given a rainbow or custom hairstyle from creation, do they pass that onto their children or what default hair will the child have if you change the color of your sims hair and will the Plastic Surgery when the face changes does that also apply to the sims offspring after in the sims 2?

Will the baby have the original hair color or facial appearance? or the custom hair color?

(edit) there was this thread currently unsolved by the looks of it

In my experience, yes. They will have the exact same custom hairstyle as their parent, though, not a random one, from what I've observed.

You change the color of your sims hair and will the Plastic Surgery when the face changes does that also apply to the sims offspring after in the sims 2?

No, a Sim's genetics are set at birth and cannot be changed without going into a separate program like SimPE. They will pass down their original hair color and face genes to their children.

No, they do not pass on coloured hair genetics. If the child ends up with a coloured hair this isn't their genetics, you should be able to still see their genetic hair colour in their eyebrows or if the child has no eyebrows (this can happen when using coloured hair on a sim made in CAS as the game doesn't know what to do with it) in BodyShop it may show up highlighted. You can also check their DNA tab. The game will probably default to black in that case. But there is no real genetics for coloured hair.

Plastic surgery is just that plastic surgery. You can make it genetic in SimPE if you want but like PS in real life, that nice nose job won't be passed on.

Colored hair has a hidden genetic value of the four default colors, usually the one it was cloned from. That's usually the automatic eyebrow color a sim gets when you pick that hair.

It is possible to give custom hair genetic values, but they need different values than the five available hairs.
