Default The Questionable Values Challenge
My first challenge, let me know what you think. I'm not a big fan of the legacy type challenges because they fail to challenge past the first generation. after that it is a lot of the same thing. So I thought I'd make my own challenge. Hope you like!

Young Adulthood

What a life! You were coddled all your life. Your parents never asked anything of you and you had no responsibilities. But disaster strikes and your parents are killed in a freak chess accident and you must survive on your own. The problem is you have no idea how! You lived totally care free with your parents and would have continued to do so if not for their untimely demise.

Now you have no home and no money and are about to get a large dose of reality! Not knowing exactly what your future holds and unsure of how to survive on your own you decide to become an “escort” for easy cash

This challenge requires a little dice rolling for randomness if you don't have a 6 sided die around use this website http://www.random.org/dice/?num=1

How to start
  1. Create a young adult female sim – she may look any way you would like
  2. Give her these traits:
    1. klepto’ (How your sim makes a living)
    2. flirty (She has to seduce her clients somehow)
    3. good kisser (She’s experienced of course)
    4. players choice
    5. players choice
  3. Lifetime wish – become a master thief
  4. Purchase a lot & ignore the lot – your sim is homeless and cannot use the lot, she must live/eat/sleep in and around the city
  5. Reduce funds – use the household funds cheat to bring your money down to 10
Rules as young adult:
  • You may not return to your home lot nor buy anything from the buy or build mode
  • You must rely on your escort job to survive
  • You are tone-deaf and your attempts to play a guitar sound like you are beating a metal saw with a wet kitten. (No using the guitar)
  • You never went to school and have no idea how to use a brush. (No painting)
  • As a result of your laziness and your parents lack of interest in you as a child you are illiterate (No reading or writing)
  • No stealing (one exception below)
  • The 28hour Wellness Gym and Le Petite Shark Pool Center (in Sunset Valley) as well as The Riverfront Swim Club and Riverview Gymnasium (in Riverview) are exclusive establishments and do not allow vagrants into the facilities (no using these facilities)
  • You may not get a job (part-time jobs, and careers are off limits)
  • You may mooch to get by in desperate times
  • You may sell/eat collection items but you cannot use them (no cutting gems or gardening, though your time might be better spent by finding clients)
  • Escort Rules
    • Your only job is to seduce and woohoo sims (both male and female)
    • If you want to stay the night at someone’s house you MUST woohoo them at least once for each night you stay at their house
    • You may steal three items from them as payment for your “services” after you have woohoo’d them that night.
    • You may not Woohoo the same sim two nights in a row
    • You may sell any items you steal, as payment for “satisfying” your client
Adulthood

You have become an adult and your view of the world has changed. You are no longer interested in being a working girl and you want to live in the lap of luxury. It is time to find a sugar daddy!
Rules for Adulthood
  • You may not go back to your lot until you have married your sugar daddy
  • Finding your sugar daddy (male or female)
    • Your sugar daddy must be someone you did not sleep with during your “working girl” days (You’ve been around the block a few too many times and well… they have standards)
    • After you woohoo your sugar-daddy-prospect you must roll a 6 sided die
    • If you roll a 6, you must marry this sugar daddy
    • If you roll anything but a 6 you must look again for a different sugar daddy (this sim doesn’t want to buy the cow when they got the milk for free)
    • After you have rolled two times without rolling a 6 you must marry the next sim you find to be your sugar daddy
  • Your sugar daddy must move in with you, you may not move into your sugar daddy's house
  • After you marry your sugar daddy you may use his/her money and yours to build a house for yourself
  • Within a week of marrying your sugar daddy you must fight with him/her and divorce them, taking everything they own and kicking them out of the house. (you can have a child or adopt with that sugar daddy but you don't have to)
  • After your divorce you may now start in the criminal career track and start climbing the job ladder
  • You are now welcome at the gym and pool
  • You need to learn how to read. Roll a 6 sided die and struggle with reading that many childrens' books before you can read anything else.
Game ends when you reach the top of the criminal career

Scoring for those that like it:
  • +10 for every DIFFERENT sim woohoo’d
  • +10 for every 1k in cash at young adult to adult ageup
  • +500 for reaching your lifetime wish
  • +1 for every 1k in net worth at the end of challenge(furnished house + cash)
  • +100 for first child that is still in your household at the end of the challenge
  • -50 for each night you can’t find a client and have to sleep outside
  • -100 if you didn't learn to read
  • -10 for every day played (multiply number of weeks by 7 and add days, then multiply by -10 to get the total)

No cheats or mods allowed (except moveobjects when the time comes to build your house)

Looking forward to hearing how people are doing on this challenge. I'm going to start it myself tonight and refine it if necessary.

TS3 is...problematic for me. I've got a video card that's not supported, but I still play anyway, even though the video card's driver crashes on occasion. I definitely prefer TS2, but I kind of like your challenge idea here. I'm trying to find ways to make TS3 more interesting to me, before I make a final decision whether or not to uninstall it as not worth the hassle of dealing with video driver crashes, and this challenge sounds interesting and isn't something easily reproduced in TS2. I like that it has stages as well. It's well-thought-out and gives you something to look forward to, in a sense. So, I might give it shot if I can get the game to behave for longer than five minutes at a stretch.

I'm mostly found on (and mostly upload to) Tumblr these days because, alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.

What's the money cheat to reduce the money to 10?
Alchemist
#8 Old 29th Oct 2009 at 8:25 AM
you need to have a mod installed to use the cheat to get that amount of money, Awesomemod has it and there is another one somewhere else, you need to have the EA Debgu commands enabled.
the cheat is: money 10
(i think it is anyway)

I'm currently doing this challenge. It's my first and going great! Only sort of a problem is that you can only steal 3 objects per day, so if you wohoo with more than one sim a day, you still get payment from only one.

Ah forgot about that fact... I wonder if there is a mod that removes that limit?

courtesy of robin williams, actually :D

but about the challenge--i dislike not having a home. even a silly little joke of a shack, to me, would be less irritating than complete homelessness. xD esp if i had the money for a tiny shack. itd just bug me that i had to remain homeless.

The point to remaining homeless through your YA years is that it forces you to stay the night at others houses if you want to get sleep.

Well I started your challenge! It is a tough one lol! I don't think my girl is a good prostitute(I guess that sort of fits). Meet Maggie Sloane...I started things off at the park and it was looking good, quite a few prospects to choose from. First on the agenda was some dude named Clavell.
From there things started going a bit down hill(hehehe)! First night nothing, had to sleep on a park bench. Monday dawned and I thought I would try someone new and yet again another night was spent on the park bench. Tuesday was a rough day and night! Went and visited the Clavell household. I did get a little further in the relationship dept with Clavell and got some food, tried jumping in the shower but they just got mad and shoo'd me out of there. So another fine evening was spent on the park bench(recurring theme). Wed dawned and I went right quick over to the Clavells. This time I had some success. I was actually given the option to stay the night, I thought yes, things will be much easier now(I was wrong). Things got hot and heavy with Clavell and I was given the option to woowhoo with him. Well this is how it went down...
Epic Failure

Then he proceeded to get out of bed and pee himself!

So another night was spent on the park bench

So far, I have made no money and haven't gotten a thing. Oh I did mooch some food off of someone, I was desperate!

I had some problems with the familyfunds cheat...you have to first put the testingcheatsenabled true cheat on first for the funds cheat to work. So far having a blast with this challenge! Thank you. :D

Lol. I loved your account of how this worked out for you, easypeaze. I can't belive the guy peed himself!

This challenge seems interesting. I do have a question, though: why does the sim have to be female? There are male prostitutes, too.

palabravampiress- Thank you, it's been interesting Can't wait to hear about your's!

Update:Well, it's official my girl stinks at being a prostitute! She has had some moderate success in that she has slept with two, yes count em' two clients! She finally got Xander Clavell in bed and he managed to not wet himself. She's stupid though, for her payment she took everything that has to be hung on a wall...and therefore was unable to sell them. Managed to get Cyclone into bed...then she went and broke the shower and clogged up the toilet(lol). Oh, and once again managed only to steal wall items and is unable to sell them. Question, can we build a wall on our lot to hang the stuff up on and delete it after we are done, so that I can sell these items or if there is another way please let me know, thank you.

On her agenda next was Conner Frio and ummm yeah not so good there, she's a sure thing, and they still reject her(hahaha).

So basically as far as points go, I am way in the hole! Will update this post later with my score. Another question, there is a pool by the Roomies, and I think working girls home, I did stay the night there on one of the loungers, I think it is called Lofty Cerulean Blue Pool...there are no facilities there. Is it okay if I park her there? Or can she not visit it?
So far I'm in the hole for a: -560
Payment total: $690
That's not including some things

You should be able to pick up the item from the family inventory and and just press the delete button on your keyboard to sell it.

A few hints for those having a hard time.

*Find your clients in advance of starting the game. the easiest ones to seduce are single clients of course. Also if you are not totally familiar with the neighborhood it is good to know who actually has a house and who is just a townie. It is also helpful to know who has a double bed in their house! (I think I am going to add a rule where you can familyfunds $1000 for a public woohoo which will open up more clients)

*Most of the single men are fairly poor in the towns so you won't have much to start but if you play carefully you should be able to seduce one your first night which will give you a place to stay. and once you have a "cheaper" clientele you can start working on the richer ones while still having a place to stay the night

*You can woohoo someone in the middle of the day, but you can't steal unless you ask them if you can stay the night. which will give you access to all the amenities of their house.

*When you have gotten a sim to invite you over for the night, woohoo them as quickly as possible, and then get a little rest till everyone falls asleep. Once the house is clear steal your items and then use the shower, toilet, make yourself food whatever you need to do. and then climb back into their bed to sleep untill fully rested (or close to) it seems that once you wake up in the morning you are no longer a "guest" and doing things like raiding their fridge and taking a shower will get you kicked out.

*don't forget when desperate you can take a sponge bath in the sink of any bathroom around town. it will help you build relationships easier when you aren't stinky!

Hope this helps people. Glad to see people trying it out though!

Yes you can park there no problem.

HP gave a link to this great mod in another thread, it increases the amount you can steal per day up to 10 items, removes time constraints you can steal at anytime, decreases the distance of the sim and the items that they will consider stealing. So you can get payment from all your clients, if you get more than one client per day. I can barely get one.

This sounds like an ok mod. but still limit yourself to 3 "thefts" per "satisfied" sim. though it looks like your link is not working.

Yes, I see the link is no longer working and thanks for answering my questions! :D
