Wonderful! Thank you so much, it's such an annoying little thing.

What are the chances you can do this with those horrible trash cans that sit half a tile away from the kitchen counter? *puppy eyes*

I just updated with mesh overrides since the rig edit didn’t scale/move the groundshadows properly, and also put in additional slots. See first post for what’s new.

Doesn't Alt work for these objects?

Holding Alt while placing items also helps in most cases.

One of the major points of this mod is to make that unnecessary .. like it says in the OP, right at the top.

This is awesome, thanks for this. For a title, how about "Push Em' Back!"?

Do objects placed with this mod retain their potion when the lot is shared with a non-mod user? Thanks!

What do you mean by "potion"; do you mean position?

No, without the mod they'll use the default mesh and rig -- they will be where you have put them, but in the middle of the tile, not moved back. If you look at the first two screenshots, those were made by placing the objects with the mod, saving the lot, and then reloading without the mod.

Can't see it. Or do you mean these lines: "Of course one could also turn on moveobjects and move them by hand, but I don’t feel like doing that every time I put down a shoe rack."? I've always thought Alt worked without moveobjects. Excuse me if I'm wrong.

I plasticbox ! Do you still have the old files, because I merged all your object overrides, and I can't find the ressources in S4pe that need to be removed, for the shoes rack

Afraid I didn’t keep the old files either. But since they contain the OBJDs, you could check these for the object name and tuning name / ID -- most of the Maxis objects have self-explanatory names, probably somehting like "deco_shoerack_GEN01_1x2" or similar.
