The issue with the collab is that the items will be hard to use without seeing SpongeBob iconography all over it.

Every other collabs didn’t have this issue. Even if there was an item or two with a logo or iconography, you could ignore it. Here, it’s everywhere. It all feels greedy to have two kits about this and not even proper costumes, with 0 versatility. It’s not even a proper nautical bedroom theme with SpongeBob swatches. It looks very hard to use if SpongeBob isn’t your thing.

Also, Maxis is now complaining about their business model of overdeveloping basic features while oversimplifying complex features for a decade while forgoing player demands which is now causing development hell.

Nobody should feel bad for them. Maxis has been told over and over again what the issues are / would be if they continued on the path they were on. In typical EA fashion, they didn't listen and now they have a mess that can't be fixed because it has been buried with a much bigger pile of mess.

It is a them problem, not a player problem.

Another problem is this Spongebob kit. The Spongebob Kid's Room kit is actually nice for a nautical themed kid's room. Although there is still some LARGE Spongebob character iconography on the items, there are also neutral swatch. However, not enough without modding them out to have a normal kid's bedroom (which is also very niche). I feel like it'd sell more if it was a collab with the Sims instead of just a marketing pack.

I might just be one of few who actually got the Star Wars pack, despise people thinking it was just a marketing ploy. But Spongebob? TWO kits? Not interested. I don't know, maybe I'm not the target audience. I barely watched the show as a kid... I grew up on Disney stuff and Looney Tunes.

I watched a little bit at times, but I think I was already 'too old' for when it became a thing on TV. And from what I have seen from its later seasons, it seems to have focused (or gone through a phase of focusing more) on gross-out humor.

The shapes of some of the items seems nice, but I'm sure I can find similar items in other EPs or even CC furniture.

I know I only did the Friends Forever event previously and that wasn't a good one, apparently, but I think my main disappointment was the Active Imagination trait. I thought it would lead to major Inspired mood, but no, it activating leads to Energized.

Yeah I can't deal with gross-out humor. It's why I avoided watching stuff like Rocky's Modern Life or Cow & Chicken. That, and I didn't have Cartoon Network growing up. My grandmother had it tho so I watched it a little when I was at her place.

The "Deck the Halls" promo thingy is so unappealing to me that I can't even bring myself to download the unpack available on this site!

This colab thing (which personally, I dont think cameos really all that belong in a Simnation where its suppose to be driven on player’s own reality but whatever) is at least not as worse as Sweat Treats, but damn it’s funny. It’s something that you would expect from a modder haha.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Did EA change the age rating for TS4? I thought it was for teens and up. No shade to teens and adults that like Spongebob, but this screams cash grab just like Journey to Batuu and the Mosquito pack. Every TS4 hood needs a pineapple house in the middle of it because there isn't enough foolishness.

Finally peeing like a champion and the endless fart jokes kind of blend in. Furthermore, since when did kits become stuff packs?

It is almost as if they are trying to rope in the Roblox crowd with their new project which isn't a TS4 remaster as the sim community site so loudly talked about. What will the next EP be? Barbie townhouse? Maybe it will be about Batman so TS4 sims can live in a bat cave.

Yikes!
