My current immediate quest is for hair for some old folks in my "Hamsterdam" neighborhood; we'll call it the "Harpo", but it's basically for Bodie Broadus' grandma (whose first name isn't given) on The Wire, and other ladies of a similar age. No doubt most of these examples are wigs (except for my aunt, in the last picture) but that's the look and the length that I want. Merely "wavy" hairs need not apply. Think Harpo; think curls.



Now for the polemic. It's long been a contention of mine that the Maxis idea of hair for elders (seemingly consisting of merely recoloring adult hair to be gray) just doesn't work very well in the realism department. While it's of course by no means universal, in the real world, octogenarians tend not to cling onto the same hairstyle they had when they were nineteen, mostly for reasons beyond their control... for example, there's far too few creations of thinning hair in the Sim World, IMHO. Also, a great number of women, when they reach a certain age, tend to go for the shorter, more easily-maintained haircuts, and this has, for the most part, not been reflected in the Sims. So if you're a creator of great hair, how's about tipping your hat once in a while to the folks who can no longer grow the sort of "fabulous" hair that you'd see at the Oscars? Y'know? This isn't a request, it's more like an admonishment. Put your enormous talents towards some nice, solid realism. Something to think about, anyway; nobody's forcing you...

I totally agree! I also miss some balding hairstyles for men.

If you want them in other variants than Pooklet, a lot of them exist in Poppet/Remi/etc. but they're more spread all over. Knowing which hairs they are, you can more easily search for them when you know what you're looking for.
