For you, you need to retain directory structures when you extract.

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Resource.cfg
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\nointro.package

I own a Mac and when I downloaded this mod, nothing happened. I tried to place it in either of two locations: documents/Electronic Arts/The SIms 3/Downloads and Applications/The Sims 3, which is where my Sims 3 app is.

Can you please help? Thanks!
I don't have a mac and never used one so I don't know the exact instructions, however, Marhis on Sims3Tools wrote a guide which could work:

I am having the same issue, except that I don't have a Mods folder? Should I just make one?

Edit: Nevermind! I made the folders, and it works perfectly! Thank you so much, that intro was really getting on my nerves. Wonderful upload.

First downloaded mod for TS3! Thanks so much for this one. The intro is far too long when the loading is following it... Great work!

Hey thanks for this, that intro is annoying!

BTW, if you already have C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages in your Sims folder just take the nointro.pachage file and place it in the package file manually. Otherwise it will make make another Mods/Packages file, leaving you with two.

But anyhow, thanks again!
