Default Sims 1 CC on the Wayback Machine w/ working downloads
Hello, everyone. I recently reinstalled the Sims 1, which led me down a rabbit hole of old sites and custom content. Next thing I knew I was compiling a list of sites that can be accessed with the wayback machine, featuring some, if not all working download links. This list has grown enormously, and I figured I ought to share it with others still interested in the game.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...hT7pVaDOnODSsbE

I've put the sites in alphabetical order, but you can find a site easily by searching for it using ctrl+F.

I've also included sections, found as tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet, for sites that can still be accessed (without the aid of the wayback machine) as of 2022, and one for other interesting Sims 1 links.

Please keep in mind that obviously, I can't check every download on every website, especially the larger ones. Please be aware that just because I added a site to this list, does not mean that every download will work.

This list is still very much a work in progress, and I only really work on it when I get a few free moments. Expect some weirdness. (For instance, some sites at the end of the list might be out of alphabetical order if I'm in the middle of adding to the list.)

If you have any sites with working downloads that I do not have listed, please leave a reply to this thread so that I can add them!

Maybe you could add this archive I uploaded? Too many sites to mention- you can see what's included by clicking the 7z beneath 'download options'.

I've already got the SFS folder link on there, but I'll add the archive.org link, too!

You did? Oh I must have missed it! Cool, the torrent link is on the SFS too, so that people can download the whole lot.

Glad to see people getting back into the game! Thanks for sharing this with everybody.

You don't need the Wayback Machine for my site, which you might want to check out if you're looking for custom content: Corylea's Sims 1 Mods.

Have fun!

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

Hi, all! I have made some updates to the document!

1: I have renamed it "The Sims 1 Custom Content, archives, and resources", since it has sort of evolved from simply being a list of sites accessible on the Wayback Machine.

2: I've added a new section entitled "Individual Archives". While still a work in progress, my aim for it is to pool together the links to various TS1 CC archives, making it easier when one is trying to find content from a specific site or creator.

As of this writing, there are 148 sites accessible on the Wayback Machine, 188 sites that were still up as of May 2022 (I'm going to get around to checking them for activity again sometime soon), and a whopping 751 different sites/creators/Yahoo groups represented in the archive section! It's easy to get caught up in the stuff that's been lost, but the amount of content that has been saved is truly staggering, and my hat goes off to all the individuals who had the foresight to save it and choose to share it with us all!
