WCIF: MBB clothes? (Massive Bodybuilder) & Thick Madame Clothes & Updated Body Shape Tutorial?
Hello,

I have posted in one other place (not this site) in regards to looking for MBB clothing. It is apart of the bodybuilder "family" of bodyshapes. I have been hitting endless dead ends and have been looking for days. I am unsure of who exactly is the "Creator" of the bodytype or who I should message about looking for it. I've heard lots of people say G-Knee, but they I found on a thread that G-Knee herself said the creator is actually SynapticSim. I have attempted with messaging the both of them with no answer (as of now, still waiting for a bit). I also stumbled upon Julie J (also sent a message and am waiting) so, if anything it seems like the three of them would know where to go, exactly where to look, etc.

However, it never hurts to ask because people might have their own copies of files or downloads.

People have mentioned GSC (not sure if I can mention it here since they also feature(d) adult content as well, so I abbreviated it), woodensimolean (dead site), insim (only another WCIF thread), backalleysims (dead site). I have also attempted browsing the sims 2 graveyard, as well as checking the list here on modthesims for sites that have been lost and had files restored on simfile. I also have attempted to message creators (not on this site) who also may have an idea on where to go or where to look. I'm unsure if I should keep looking, or give up and see if I can learn the mechanics of taking any current meshes and using them as a starting point for creating more/new ones. Then of which, I am aware I would need to go to the "Create" part of the forums here instead.

I was able to see some of woodensimolean, but of course, I am unable to download anything and the new site for it is blank. I was able to actually browse a lot of woodensimolean through wayback but, I saw a lot of the BearBB. Eventually, I found Hall of T- (I can't remember the rest), that linked to ladymoiraine which is also now defunct. I have also checked SXS2, and ISA, with no avail.

For reference, the MBB shape looks like this, it is the body that is all the way to the right of the image. The order of them from left to right is: LeanBB, SlimBB, BBv2, ??, BearBB and then MBB:

As for Thick Madame, it was made by Netra who seems to also be inactive. There doesn't seem to be much clothes made for this body type, however, if anyone has any downloads saved or know of a lesser known site that carries some outfits with the same, please refer me if you can, or if you remember. Netra seemed to have way more outfits for it, but they of course were on her website which is of course, now defunct. I have downloaded what I found at InSim.

Thick Madame looks like this:

Again, if it doesn't seem likely that I'll find these, with us having to stay inside, I have no problem with taking time to learn meshing and how to make my own body shapes, or at least similar for my own usage. In that case, where could I find any updated or new tutorials that aren't outdated in terms of making bodyshapes? Or anyone with experience to help me do so? I found a linked tutorial on using poser/DAZ... not sure if it's outdated or not. I attempted downloading the blender plugin for sims two, however.. it seems I need older versions of blender for it to work. I am open to someone also privately linking me to a video or anything showing how to do it or at least how to start.

Thank you for your time and thank you for reading.

While I have loads (40+) different body shapes in my game, Thick Madame and MBB are not among them. (The unknown ?? male shape you mentioned is HBB - Huge BodyBuilder.)
G-Knee (aka jbeach34) - you found her LiveJournal site I take it? She posted there in December saying she's working on Sims2 again so if you message there she might answer fairly quickly.
JulieJ - I don't recall her working with MBB much but she's worked with a number of different bodyshapes. She pops in occasionally at InSim's adult sister site so she should see your message there eventually.
@MookieBlaylock - is here and on that other site (as well as at BAS before it folded) and has a good collection of all kinds of links and things. He might have insight into those shapes. Hopefully he'll see this and respond as well.
Ocelotkatl at BlueHeavenSims may be a resource. He's developed several bodyshapes and clothing for various shapes but neither MBB or Thick Madame are ones he offers. In the past, he's responded to PMs I've sent to him there.
There are aren't many BodyShape aficionados here, or if there are, they are relatively quiet as we only get a handful of posts here about bodyshapes from time to time with few responses.

In regards to a tutorial . the only thing I can think of is if there are any tutorials over at Insim, but I don't know what can still be used and what's outdated. Also, there's only a handful of people who are still somewhat active over there, so don't expect much help in the tutorial section. This is just for self-study, if it can be of any help at all. I occasionally see JulieJ posting, but mostly updates for her site.

(There could also be some in the sections of the people who used to make bodyshapes, like Bloom, Warlokk, Marvine, etc.)

Bloom made one here, but it requires Poser and magnets, and doesn't have any pictures.

As for how to import a new mesh to the game in general, you are probably going to need all of that too, so you can start out learning that while you're doing some research on the bodyshapes. It's going to help knowing this since a lot of the process is out of the meshing program. Familiarizing yourself with the program(s?) you're most likely going to use isn't a bad idea, either.

The newest Blender plugins are these
https://modthesims.info/d/656032/th...ender-2-80.html (2.80+)
https://modthesims.info/d/612164/up...ender-2-79.html (2.79)

They are for somewhat older versions, but probably because a lot of those who use Blender in the TS2 community convert TS4 stuff, and S4Studio is still somewhere in compatibility around 2.76-2.80. Files are not always compatible between versions unless they're very plain meshes.
I don't know how high up the 2.80+ goes, though.

Thank you! I did find her Livejournal, I also found her at Synaptic's forum. I sent her a message, but I am currently awaiting a reply, if one at all, as I am aware the bodyshape is a bit old. She had anon messaging disabled on her Livejournal, and I had found her on Synaptic not shortly after.

I messaged JulieJ's tumblr yesterday, I happened to check today to see if she answered, since I sent a message on anon, but it seems either she hasn't seen it yet, runs a queue, or simply did not have/want to answer, which is also fine. I did also see her on InSimAdult.

Synaptic himself did respond to the PM I sent him on his forum. He essentially told me, he hadn't made much clothing for the bodyshape himself, as it was more of a niche shape that he didn't think/expect many to use anyway. Others had made content for it, but he personally hadn't. He linked me to a few more G-Knee items and was a big help.

As for Mookie, thank you for referring. I was going to give up with looking, but your description of them was what I was holding hopes for. Someone with a collection or links and so on. I also hope Mookie will come across my thread. MBB seems like it had a little more popularity than ThickMadame did.

As for BlueHaven, I actually have nearly all my main clothing for bodytypes from him, so I will definitely attempt to reach out.

Despite this new account, I have used and browsed modthesims for at least 10 years, and it is tried and true for both content and help. I figure nothing can go wrong checking here and already you have helped me with continuing to look, so I appreciate it either way.

Thank you for this. I have checked out the links you've mentioned and they're already been a big help. I am messing around with bodyshapes at the moment, possibly going to attempt WSOs, if I can. It does seem like in the bodyshape department, most creators are gone.

Maybe these can be of help, too:
https://monilisasims.tumblr.com/post/185732830435 (tutorial on the Momma Lisa size, possibly full tutorial, haven't checked)
https://marja87.tumblr.com/post/126...rs-mesh-toolkit (more for adding morphs but with Cmar's toolkit, so could maybe be useful?)

http://www.insimenator.org/index.ph...1&topic=52230.0 (another one using Poser and magnets, this one with pictures)

There's a tutorial by BlueHeavenSims at the end of this post, but the link doesn't work.
https://withlovefromsimtown.tumblr....nd-the-idea-for

Possibly somewhere here: https://blueheavensims.wordpress.co...torial-library/
Most likely the "Comprehensive WSO Action Tutorial", since it's the only one that fits the description.

There's also some WSO files that could come in handy here (linked in Lifa's post) https://mayfairsims.tumblr.com/post...morph-templates (unfortunately the belonging tutorial in the link by Simsteria is gone, but it's probably available via a reblog somewhere, just thought I'd mention that)

*gets called to pinch hit in the bottom of the ninth inning, trailing 3-2 with the bases loaded, proceeds to whiff on three straight 72mph curve balls in the dirt* I've got nothing, neither is a shape I use or have seen much of. I found a set of skintones at ISA ( Insim adult site) by Netra for that shape, but after reading the comments there and downloading the skins it appears they won't work. Netra created top and bottom nude meshes, but either never produced or uploaded a fully body nude mesh so the skins are basically useless without that. I dug through links and found a folder from Miros/Rose/Woodensimolean of male body types that they had uploaded https://simfileshare.net/folder/89021/ here, but no MBB stuff. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

*watches HobbesED shake his head with disgust, knowing he should have called on a different pinch hitter *

I thought it was worth a shot, Mookie. I knew I was overmatched. I stopped at HBB. I think others might have gone to BearBB but not many of us went all the way to MBB for our larger male shapes. I remembered seeing it mentioned back in the day but couldn't come up with anyone who used it.
And ThickMadame was like one step past Momma Lisa in the curvy range. I barely remember anyone mentioning it, much less using it.
So sorry @kimikohayami. Neither of those bodyshapes were generally used by most of us bodyshape players.

Just replied to your anon message on Tumblr. I only know of G-Knee's MBB meshes, maybe something on SynapticSims?
It isn't one of the more popular bodyshapes out there.

Sorry I don't get to replies often, I don't go into the community much.

I'm sure Britt is a huge fan of the MBB might be worth asking her?

Considering making some meshes on the shape, either this one or BearBB.
