Once upon a time there was a little girl named Sarah that sometimes really hated to do her homework.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733657

All day long at school Sarah day dreamed of going out to play in the sunshine. She watched the clock at school waiting for the bell to ring so she could catch her bus home. At the last minute her teacher gave out the homework assignments.
"Awwww," Sarah whined. Normally Sarah was very good about getting her homework done. Her mother insisted on,
"Getting it done right away, then it is out of the way."
Today, Sarah decided that she would put off the nasty homework as long as possible.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733601

The sun was shining, spring flowers blooming and

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733419

Sarah wanted nothing more than to go outside and play.

At 3 pm Sarah's school bus stopped in front of her house as usual.
"You have a great day Sarah," said the bus driver as Sarah exited the bus.
"Get out and enjoy the sunshine, but be sure and get your homework
done first," the bus driver joked with her.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733185

"Oh you know I will, "Get it done right away, then it is out of the way,"
Sarah said. Jeff the bus driver laughed at the child's remark.
He had heard Sarah recite the same words many times before
over the last school year. As a result she was a straight
A student and very smart.

Sarah stepped off of the bus and seemingly into a brand new world.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733432

Sarah enjoyed that fresh Spring Day, the earth is reborn type of feeling.

She looked longingly at her Monkey Bars.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367739949

Sarah wanted nothing more than to go outside and play.
It was finally warm and not cold and muddy.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733676

"Hi mom, I'm home." Sarah announced skipping in the front door.

Sarah was pleased that her 8 yrs old nose smelled fresh baked cookies in the air.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733171

Sarah gave her mom a big hug.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733175

"I love you mom!"

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733151

"I love you too sweetheart!"

Sarah then tossed her backpack containing the hideous homework into her bedroom.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733491

Sarah pulled the bedroom door closed with a soft "click" sealing
the nasty homework in prison.

Sarah ran down the hallway and into the kitchen with it's large windows.
The sunlight, streaming through them as she burst into the room.
Her mom was taking a fresh batch of delicious looking, chocolate chip
cookies out of the oven. Then replaced it with another pan of raw
cookies to bake.
Her mom scooped the baked cookies off of the cookie sheet with a
spatula and on to a plate to cool.

Sarah hopped up onto her favorite bar stool and leaned over
the fresh baked cookies, taking in a big sniff of the
best aroma in the world.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733682

Her mother sat a cold glass of milk down in front of her and gave
her a napkin."Go ahead," her mom said. “Get ‘em while they’re hot.”

"Mmmmm, thanks mom," Sarah said. She grabbed a
warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookie and took a bite that
did not disappoint. Her mom was a great cook.
"Are they good?" her mom asked.
"Mmmmm, the best! Your the best cook in the whole world," Sarah said.
Then grabbing the cold glass of milk to wash down the warm, sweet,
gooey, cookie, freeing up her taste bud's for more cookies.

"Do you have homework today?" her mother asked her.
Like she did everyday after school.

Sarah slumped a little on her bar stool with her face still in the glass of milk,
emm mmmm, and shook her head yes, splashing
some of the milk up her nose on accident.

"We will get your homework done right after you have your snack.
"It is always best to get it done right away and then?"
her mother paused; waiting for Sarah to finish the words that
she knew by heart, having heard them since she first started school
three whole years ago. "then it's out of the way," Sarah said with a sigh.

Sarah felt deflated; she did not want to do her stupid
homework right now. She wanted to go out and play. It was
finally nice and sunny out after the long winter.

Please mom, can I just do it a little later?" She gave her mom
her best puppy dog face with pouty lower lip.

"No, no sweety. Get it done right away and then it is out of the way."
her mom repeated.

Sarah flopped her head onto the counter, feeling it's coolness
against her cheek. Just as she was about to protest again,
the doorbell rang.

Sarah perked up a tiny bit at the sound. Perhaps this
would provide her a temporary reprieve from the
detestable homework.

"I will get it," her mother said. " You finish your snack,
then we will hit the books, Get it done right away and then",
her mother paused waiting for Sarah to finish the well known saying
with her, "Get it out of the way." Sarah said with a sigh,
and flobbed her head back down on the counter
as if she had dramatically fainted.

The caller was now knocking loudly on the front door.

"Coming," her mother called down the hall, she took off
her apron and set it on the counter.
"Tell me when the timer goes off, or the cookies will get burned."
Sarah's mom looked at her for confirmation. Sarah shook her head yes
with her head still laying on the cool counter. Then said "O.K mom".
Her mom rushed out of the kitchen to answer the door.

Sarah heard her mother open the front door. And cry out,

"Susan! Oh, my goodness! It is so great to see you! Is that little Carla?"

Sarah's head shot up in the direction of the door. 'Carla, and Susan.
Could it be?' Sarah rushed out of the kitchen and raced down the hall

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733207

too be met right in the middle by her best friend ever from their old apartment.

Sarah gave her best friend a huge hug.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733172

Together, they fell down on the floor giggling in each others arms.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733189

Once the girls recovered from the great excitement of seeing
each other again, they decided to go to Sarah's room

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733202

to play with her new Barbie Dream House
that Sarah had received for Christmas.

Once they were in her bedroom Sarah kicked her Backpack containing the hideous, homework under her bed.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733004

Carla knew exactly what her best friend Sarah was doing
and pulled the pink, lacy, bed skirt over the spot where the
backpack tried to peak out from under the bed.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733011

"Lets play Barbies!" the two shouted in joy and then
began to dig out all the Barbie stuff.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733009

Turning the once tidy, Princess Style bedroom into
Barbie World.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733008

The two girl's could hear their mother's carrying on and talking excitedly with each other in the living room.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367732988

The girl's smiled at each other. They were both glad that their mother's were,

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367732958

still Best Friends even if they were no longer next door neighbors
in the small apartment building on the other side of town.

Then both girl's heard it. The smoke detector was going off like crazy.

"Oh no! My cookies, I forgot all about them!" Sarah and Carla
heard their mom's rushing to the kitchen. The girls followed behind them.

Black smoke was coming from the oven and the nasty smell
of burnt cookies filled the air.

Both mom's laughed, while Sarah's mother Ginger carefully
pulled the smoking batch of extra, burnt chocolate chip cookies
out of the oven.
Susan opened the sliding patio door so Ginger could take the
smoking pan of burnt cookies outside to cool off.

After examining the burnt cookies Sarah and Carla decided to head
out into the back yard to play.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807541

Ginger and Susan could be heard laughing, opening the windows
in the kitchen and fanning the smoke detector into silence.

"Well, you burnt the cookies," said Susan. "I guess that means
it is time for a glass of wine."

"That sounds great," agreed Ginger with a smile.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367806516

Sarah's mother got out a nice bottle of blush wine and opened it with the cork screw. Then poured two glasses.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367732993

The moms walked out into the backyard to relax, enjoy their wine,
and the warm sunshine.

They watched their daughter's play on the Monkey Bars for a few
minutes while lounging in the slightly used but comfortable lawn
furniture.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807523

"Sarah, Sarah honey, come on and get your homework,
we can do it outside today." Ginger called to her daughter who was
hanging upside down on the monkey bars while Carla tickled her mercilessly.

"Awwww mom," Sarah whined in between giggles.
"Do I have to do it right now? My best friend in the world is here and
I have not seen her in forever."

"Please Ginger," Carla dramatically plopped down on her
knees next to her upside down best friend, and begged Ginger to
reconsider.

Well, with Sarah hanging upside down, shirt in her face, hands folded
in front of her begging. The two girls looked so silly as they begged,
that Ginger gave in.

"Alright, you win," her mother giggled. You can have twenty more minutes
to play, but then you have to get your homework done."

"Yup, you know the rule," Carla's mother Susan added.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367732991

All four of them recited together.
"Get it done right away, and then it is out of the way."
They all laughed together like the good friends that all were.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807527

Twenty minutes turned into a half hour and a half hour into a hour, then two hours.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807535

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807536

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807267

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807266

The girls played tag, Mary Mack, Cops and Robbers but the Monkey Bars were by far the favorite.

Then it started to get dark and the mosquitoes started biting everyone.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807502

That is when Ginger noticed how late it was getting and that she
and her best friend Susan had polished off the entire bottle of wine.

"Good grief, look at the time. I forgot all about starting dinner." Ginger said.
"Mom, were hungry." the girls cried in unison to their slightly buzzed mother's.
"Lets order pizza! My treat," Susan suggested.
"Yay! Pizza!" the girls squealed in delight at the suggestion.
"That's a great idea," agreed Ginger. "What kind should we get?"
"Pepperoni! the girls shouted together.
"OK, but lets get two, I want to try the new chicken garlic pizza,"
suggested Susan.
"Mmm, that sounds good." agreed Ginger.

The early spring day had been warm and beautiful, but now it
was steadily growing dark and cold.
They all made their way into the house to order the pizza.
"Sarah," her mother said over her shoulder."It is time to get your
homework done, right now." Ginger said sternly. Good grades were
very important to her mother. And Sarah could tell by the tone in her
mother's voice that she would not be escaping from her homework again.

"Stupid homework! Sarah hissed under her breath, knowing
better than to sass her mom.
"Homework should be illegal," she whispered to her best friend
Carla while following their mother's into the house to order the pizza.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733569

Susan got busy on the phone right away and ordered the pizza.

"I have to go to the bathroom," complained Carla.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733385

"Then go and use it," Ginger told her.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733287

"I don't know where it is." Carla nearly cried to her
while doing the traditional pee pee dance.

"Sarah, go and show Carla where the bathroom is and don't
forget to bring your homework out. "We need to get it done right
away so it will be out of the way."
The girls chorused the well
known saying. They raced down the hall to the bathroom.

Ginger and Susan got busy talking with each other again after the pizza was ordered.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733462

It would be 45 minutes to a hour before the pizza would arrive.

Plenty of time to get a certain little girl's homework done.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807546

But as young girls in third grade sometimes do, especially those
that would rather play with a dear friend; Sarah forgot all about
it when her best friend Carla, tip toed, back into her bedroom
after using the bathroom.

Carla closed the door quietly, listening to their mom's
laugh as they rehashed old memories together. The two women
got along notoriously well.

"Lets play Barbies," Carla said quietly.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733408

And the two girls did exactly that.

Next thing you know the door bell rings. It's the pizza!

"Pizza!" the girls shouted and stampeded to the door and bounced around excitedly waiting for their moms.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367809491

"I call the little table from the pepperoni pizza," Sarah claimed loudly.
"I call the other one," Carla also called out.

"You two, go and wash your hands and get up to the table."
Sarah's mother shooed them away from the door.
The girls obediently raced to the bathroom, washed their
hands and raced back to the table to claim their little pizza box tables.

The tiny tables would be set up in the Barbie Dream house later,
as soon as the hungry girls were done eating.
They all said their prayers together before they ate dinner
and then pigged out on pizza and Pepsi.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807531

The moms had switched over to Pepsi long ago. Susan still had
to make the drive back home across town.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807510

When the girls were done eating and their mom's once again were
distracted by talking to each other,

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807542

the two little girls snuck off to the bedroom to play with
the new tables from the pizza box's.

It was getting late, already past 10 pm.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367809872

The girl's had both fallen asleep on the floor in the bedroom
surrounded by Barbies and just about everything else from
Sarah's toy box.

"Come on Carla, wake up honey," her mother gently shook her.
"It's late, you have school tomorrow, we need to get home."

The sleepy little girls woke up and hugged each other goodbye.
Sarah and her mother waved to their best friend's from the front
porch as they drove away into the night.

"I'm tired mom," Sarah said to her mother as she rubbed
her sleepy, little eyes.

"Yes, I bet you are tired, but now we have to get your homework done.
It is still not out of the way." her mother told her.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367810740

"Awww mom, but I am too tired." Sarah complained.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733727

"Sorry sweety, you should of gotten it done right away so it would be out of the way."

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367733510

Now go and get your homework. I will help you." said her mom.

"OK," Sarah said sounding sleepy and grumpy.
Sarah and her mother sat down at her homework desk.
They worked for the next half hour to get it all finished.
The homework was easy because Sarah was very smart
and she remembered most of the answers from class.
It really was not so bad with her mom helping her.

"There, all done, now it is out of the way. Now, go and brush
your teeth it is bed time." Ginger kissed her daughter on top
of her lovely forehead for a job well done.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807516

Sarah was happy when her mother Ginger came into her room
so they could say prayers and she finally climbed into her
princess bed. Her mother tucked her in and gave her a kiss good night.

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807555

As her mom was leaving the room Sarah yawned loudly and told her mother. "Tomorrow, mom, I will get my homework done right away,
so it is out of the way, then I can play."

"That's my good girl," said her mother with a happy smile.
"I love you mom."

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums...pg?t=1367807533

"I love you too sweet heart."
And she turned out the light.
"Good night."

The End.

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU MOMS OUT THERE!"

This was a funny little story. It's not a true sims story until someone nearly wets herself or faints from exhaustion.
