Default ♞ Perfect Competing Horse Legacy Challenge ♞
♞ Perfect Competing Horse Legacy Challenge ♞

This is my first challenge so I may be missing something, but if there is any confusion or questions please leave it in the comments, thanks!!

♞ Overview ♞
Your sim has always dreamed about owning and showing horses, and now it's possible! Your sim saw a rescue horse at the local livestock auction and decided it was time to give it a try. You purchase a lovley, but untrained mare to try and turn around and make a legacy out of!

There are two goals of this challenge;
- Take your untrained mare with negative traits and over a few generations produce a beautiful horse with all 5 positive-only traits and maxed out skills.
- Win 10 1st Place International Titles (racing, jumping, or cross country) with your legacy mare.

♞ Generators / Mods ♞
This challenge uses the Equine Random Life Generator to add that extra life and realism into it but its up to the player. Instead of 1-10 I recommend 1-100 to give the player a wider scale to roll on. Unless you have some dice laying around I recommend this random number generator. Pets is the only EP required for this challenge, and no mods are required but I recommend these for either realism or simplicity.
- Pregnancy Progress Controller (easier to control pregnancy)
- Mare Pregnancy Progression (mares get a pregnancy belly)
- Stallion Junk V.5 (male horses have "junk")
- NRAAS Master Controller (overall good tool to use, mainly for 8+ sims in household)
- NRAAS Relativity (slows time down in a sim day)
- Non-Core Global Online Banking Mod (allows you to take out loans and not cheat)
- Longer Equestrian Center Hours (the equestrian center is open longer)

♞ Setup ♞
- Create a 1 sim, 1 horse (female only) household. Your sim can be created however you want but they have to have the equestrian trait. Your mare can be created however you want but her traits must be negative. Write down your beginning negative traits as with training theses can go away and turn into positive ones, the goal is to pass on positive traits to your heir.
- If you dont want to use the EA stallions for breeding in the Equestrian Center you can create another household of 6 stallions for you to choose from, however their stats must be randomized. You can build a stable in your world to house these horses in, however pretend theses horses are in the Equestrian Center, you cannot play as this household.
- Make sure your world has an Equestrian Center to show/breed your horses at!
- Purchase a plot and build your house with the money you have left, you can also purchase a pre-built home. Make sure to have the training tools necessary for your horses (ie. beginner jumps, racing poles). You can also take out a loan if you have the banking mod and really want that nice look to your house, be aware of the loan payments though!

♞ Equine Life Generator ♞
Use this rng or dice to roll...
- Before your legacy mare is bred, under "Breeding"
- Before she gives birth, under "Birth"
Optional
To add a little role play and complexity,
- When a foal is born, use "Training", "General Health", "Breeding Capability" and "Age of Death" to add some personality and life (or not) to your horses.

♞ Rules ♞
- You can only start with 1 sim and 1 female horse with all negative traits.
- Your sim, or any other sim in your family cannot have another job. You need to register them as "Self Employed".
- Your sim needs to have an heir of their own before death to pass on the business.
- You can have up to 3 stable hands/trainers in addition to your sim. These unlock in Gen 2 and 3.
- You can only breed your mare after she wins a 1st place trophy in any competition.
- You cannot breed any of your Legacy Mare's offspring other than her heir and chosen stallions.
- Any inbreeding results in the offspring becoming infertile.
- To move onto the next generation your heir must have 1 more positive birth trait than the first mare's starting traits. (ie. if the mare is created/born with aggressive, orney, and piggy, the heir must gain one positive trait at birth by either training the negative traits out of the mare or gaining a positive trait to pass on)

♞ Gameplay, Gen 1 ♞
- Start off small, train your one horse to get rid of the untrained trait and choose which skill you want to master (racing or jumping, or both!). Once you're able to enter competitions at the Equestrian Center go for it!
- Each time you win a competition (Beginner, Advanced, International) you can breed your mare to a stallion if you want to.
- Once you're available to (by winning) breed her to a stallion at the Equestrian Center (or with one of the 6 stallions you created earlier) Each breeding with the created stallion costs $600. If you have the banking mod send $600 to the sim you created with the 6 stallions. If you don't, type in "familyfunds *lastname* *$600 subtracted from your current wealth* (example if you have $2000 and your last name is Smith; "familyfunds Smith 1400").
- Breed your mare until she produces a female heir you want to take on her legacy. The heir must have at least 1 more positive birth trait than your mare did at the time of creation to try and create the "perfect horse". Sell off any other horses your mare produces that you don't want. You can train them up and show them but they cannot breed with any other horses (including sending them off to become a stud horse).

♞ Gameplay, Gen 2 ♞
- Gen 2 starts when your heir has grown into adulthood (write down birth traits).
- You can now add 2 more sims to your family to help train your horses. Your sim can also marry to produce an heir of their own to take on the business.
- At this point you can sell your house and buy a new, more improved one if desired, or if you bought an empty lot you can expand your stables/training area.
- Repeat the above from Gen 1 with your new heir. Train, Race, Breed.
- Now, if your heir produces a colt you want to use as a stallion you can. Once your colt has grown into a stallion you can use him to breed new mares either at the Equestrian Center as a stud horse or you can purchase another mare from the Equestrian Center. Your stud horse must have at least 2 positive traits. You cannot use any of the stallions offspring as an heir but you can sell them for additional profit or raise them and show them.
- Continue selling your legacy mare, and chosen stallion's offspring for additional profit. Reminder, any adult horses besides your legacy mare, and chosen stallion cannot breed with other horses. You want to pass down the best traits.
- Any offspring produced from inbreeding (breeding within the family tree) becomes infertile and cannot produce any offspring.
- Continue breeding your mare until she produces an eligible heir. The heir must have 1 more positive trait than the mare at the time of birth. If the mare already has 3 positive birth traits, you can choose which filly (baby female horse) moves on to the next generation as long as the heir also has 2 positive birth traits.

♞ Gameplay, Gen 3 ♞
- Gen 3 starts when your heir has grown into adulthood (write down birth traits).
- At this point you can sell your house and buy a new, more improved one if desired, or if you bought an empty lot you can expand your stables/training area.
- If you have space you can add another sim into your family to help train the horses.
- If your sim is not married with a child you need to adopt a child to become your sim's heir to take on the business.
- Repeat the above from Gen 2 with your new heir. Train, Race, Breed.
- You can now pick 2 colts from your heir to grow up as stud horses. Once your colts have grown into stallions you can use him to breed new mares either at the Equestrian Center as a stud horse or you can purchase another mare from the Equestrian Center.
Each stud horse must have at least 3 positive traits.

At this point you should have a legacy mare with 2 positive birth traits that has grown to have 3 (when she loses the untrained) and then gains an addtional 2 positive traits with training for a total of 5 positive traits. When you have met this goal you can buy the Attitude Adjustment Lifetime reward and give her an additional 2 traits of your choice.

Now, with your legacy mare your goal (if not already met) is to win 10 First Place International Show Competitions

Once you've done all the above, you've won the challenge!! Congratulations!

Now you get to decide what to do with your legacy.
